It is really good for getting my clients to sign up and pay for classes easily and efficiently.

Pros

The customer service is fantastic and generally very quick. They were really helpful when I was moving from another platform and are still really helpful with any problems I might have. It is really simple to use. I can put clients on a register very easily and create ongoing reservations

Cons

You can only contact clients via email. A text service would be brilliant. There isn’t an app but you can still use it on your phone

Okay so far. Will need to make some changes in the new year to our memberships so will definitely be calling up for help to find out the easiest way to do it, but as always I’m sure it will be good and helpful service!

Pros

Good customer service. Reduces admin, records everything for me, allows customer to make bookings and changes themselves, lots of new features I’m yet to explore too!

Cons

Expensive and sometimes missing features (can’t think on the spot right now but when I’m trying to do stuff sometimes I get frustrated because it doesn’t allow me to do something in the way I need it. Have contacted customer service in the past about certain things and they have been good and helpful but sometimes they also agree that the system can’t do everything I need it to do. But they do try and figure out other ways I can use the system to try and help me to make it work. I also really don’t like gocardless or stripe. I get so many issues from them, I wish there was a better option.

has been a game changer for our business. We moved over from mindbody due to issues with family accounts and youth students. Once we made the change our issues with inaccurate rosters, and families being confused by the sign up process went immediately away. The user interface and experience is exceptionally easy and we haven’t had any issue the way we did with mindbody

Pros

Very easy to learn, very simple to implement. All of our customers love the functionality and the family portal.

Cons

I’d like this software to have more functionality with courses, id like it to be able to track other options like “trial classes” and “makeups” where we could easily add students into the roster in one of these categories, even if we don’t have them in an associated grouping. Also I’d like more automation with a true enrollment model and not have to manually control the software and flow. Right now the system prorates off of a calendar month and we have to manually put auto pay students into classes session after session. Also if like a better way to track if people don’t have a waiver so the admins can see easier. You only see this if you go into the profile or try to sign then you. It would be nice if people without waivers were flagged in red. Finally integrating with a waiver software system like smart waiver would be awesome! That way we could have real documents with actual signatures associated with clients in their profile.

The customer service is wonderful and the product looked great from the consumer side and when I got in for the demoing I was very impressed with the ease of use and navigating the software. I made the right choice for our business, no doubt at all.

Mindbody did not work for our needs at all. The enrollment consumer side of mindbody was absolutely awful and our rosters were always messed up with parents info instead of youth students. Families had no clue how to add family members. This made a logistical nightmare with dealing with family accounts. Mindbody did not put any attention into family accounts and ultimately that was our main reason for switching.

Mostly just works in the background without needing much attention, which is what I'm looking for from a piece of software. Our clients are happy, so I'm happy. During Covid, the TeamUp dev team's response to integrating Zoom really quickly and smoothly was brilliant and really helped us.

Pros

The most important feature to us is that it handles payment integration with Stripe really well. Since we went all in with we don't have to worry about carrying card readers and just send all our clients to TeamUp to pay for everything and that gets rid of a major point of expense and friction for us.

Cons

The button icons on the mobile app could do with some text as it's not obvious which one I need for different things.

The team are constantly looking to the future to update processes and keep things current and fresh. The Help Desk is amazing and I have complete confidence is using this platform as part of running my business to look professional and have things run smoothly.

Pros

Simple and effective with many integration options. If you're not sure of the process, help is at hand with easy to follow step by step guides with videos too and the help desk response if quick and they always ensure follow through until the matter is solved. It has saved me untold hours of administration.

Cons

It would be great to incorporate different currencies so that when you have clients around the world it would automatically adapt the pricing according to their country logon/currency.

The whole team have been very helpful at guiding me though from the moment I decided to sign up. Always able to help whenever I’ve had an questions.

Pros

I like how user friendly and simple it is yet behind the scenes is very detailed and can be adapted to suit my businesses requirements.

Cons

I find it difficult to add my clients photos to their profiles (I think my phone takes too high a res to be used). Asking clients to add their own is not always executed and the pictures aren’t always clear. This is one thing I miss from my previous software.

Compared to the previous system I used GoTeam Up is easy to use both as a business owner and for the clients. It has more options and at a far cheaper price. Any queries are answered quickly and efficiently. Only wish I’d swapped earlier.

Mindbody was so expensive, some clients were complaining that the system wasn’t working properly for them. Whenever I needed to get in touch with queries I always felt that they expected you to be a technical expert and didn’t take kindly to me not being very efficient with the technology. I therefore was reluctant to ask anything and probably didn’t get the most out of the system as I couldn’t work it out myself!

I would be happy to pay more if they had a better offering with better reporting email sequences amongst other things. There customer service is 5 star

Pros

Its easy to use software ideal for beginners and people with a small member database.

Cons

The reporting needs to be greatly imported we have used this software for nearly 6/7 years. Has always been good and they adapted well to the lockdowns. However they are a bit slow with release updates and features that to me are critical to a business like ours such as better reporting filter or 1 click reports. Time is crucial now more than ever, for us things such as a report where we can click to see what clients haven't attended for a week or to could be a gam changer for retention. Unfortunately without spending time clicking around or downing reports sorting you cant get this data.

Pros

It’s easy to use, I’ve had great feedback from my users too. Makes managing the business easy and the reporting is always growing too. Great product that I’ve already recommended to 2-3 similar businesses.

Cons

Can’t think of any. One comment I’ve had from some users is that it would be useful to see the names of others booked on.

Brilliant. Because the staff are so good

Pros

I like the people and the quality of the support / customer service more than I do the software. The software does the job relatively easily but there are features I wish I had. The great thing about is that they listen to your needs and then take action on the things you want and need.

Cons

The illability to have 7 day free trial as a stand alone thing. It has to be a membership which means it counts in your reports as a customer when it is not. Also as a lead magnet the link to a 7 day free trial created as a membership means you can’t direct new leads directly to team up as there are too many loops for a new customer to jump through before they enter there contact details and book in there free sessions . You need to think more about lead generation and how you can help us with this . Also not being able to take customers card details when they do a free trial so payment is taken on day 8 ks a really problem for me.

I have mentioned a few features in the previous section that would be useful to have access to. In addition, having the "add family member" button in a more prominent position when creating accounts at the start would make creating accounts for multiple people run a little smoother.

I like how user friendly this product is and the dashboard is really great for a snap shot of the studio. I work on Team Up daily.

Honestly not really found anything I don't like and if I do have an issue or a question - it is resolved within 24 hours with the side chat.

This software has streamlined by job and saves me hours daily to allow me to get back to doing what I love in the business, rather than managing booking and memberships

Cons

I’d love to see more intergration available into my CRM, currently using ontraport and have to manually do some tasks, a few of the setting menus were a bit confusing when we first set up however these have been adjusted my and made better

Pros

I used to use Gymcatch. Several times a week I had complaints from clients because the Gymcatch wasn’t working. Since moving to , I’ve not had one query or complaint about how to use it. It’s brilliant! It just works! I can rely on TeamUp to collect direct debits, manage bookings etc. Saves me a lot of time.

Cons

It’s expensive. But within 3 months of using it I’ve filled up all my class spaces which has more than paid for the additional cost.

I find when people use the app, they find it really simple to use. Otherwise customers can get lost with how to book.

Pros

I find this software easy to navigate around. I have rarely needed to call the support team for help around the system and when I have they have been brilliant.

Cons

I prefer using the system for my classes than I do my PT 1 to 1 sessions. But this could be how I log payments.

I honestly cannot recommend enough. I recommend the system to anyone I think it could help. It’s helped reduce my paper work by so many hours it’s amazing. I also find the staff easily contactable and very friendly. They went above and beyond over the lockdown periods to sync up with online classes. Love TeamUp!!

Pros

Using had changed my work life! Paying instructors has become so easy because I can see how many hours each instructor has worked and can cross reference invoices easily. It has also made my end of year returns so easy with the reports section.

Cons

I can’t think of anything BUT everytime I have thought of something have been easily contactable and have either resolved it for me or have considered changing the system in the future

I absolutely wanted a system which would eliminate all the paperwork and provide a secure service for my clients to book in. Easy to use and customisable, Team Up means my business looks professional from the start of the client journey. I am starting to make far more use of the reports features, tracking the growth of my business as I add more products.

Pros

The ability to have a waitlist. As my classes are small a waitlist is an essential feature. The cancellation policies are clear, maximising my attendances.

Cons

Some features feel clunky although a much smoother experience with recent developments
