Pros: Ease of use, the variety it offers, the financial tracking, ease in billing... there is too much to list to choose just one or two features. Not to mention the great customer service!

Cons: If you forget to hit 'send' on the original introductory email for a new client, you can't go back and send it to provide the client their portal invitation. It's easy enough to delete the client and re-enter, but it would be better if we could just opt to send the letter at a later date. That problem, however, has minimized if you set your default to "send".

Overall: I've searched through and tried countless software programs that would work for us. Some offered a promising hope, but in the end, would not support the variety of services and client care we wanted to provide. Propet has renewed my hope that we FINALLY have the chance to transfer everything to computers instead of the manual system we have used for 15 years! ProPet customer service has been incredible! If we hit a snag somewhere along the way, they are right there to assist and have even accommodated certain things by reprogramming their software. AMAZING folks at ProPet continue to help us during our transition. The online portal for our clients is fantastic and is receiving high marks from our clients as well. Save yourself the trouble and disappointment of trying any other software. Pros: I have tried out trial versions of just about every scheduling software program there is. I'm glad I chose this one. Excellent software, for someone like me who is a one-woman show, I can put everything into the software that I need. It allows me to schedule boarding, daycare, grooming, and standalone services (like when I want to put in a personal appointment so that I know not to schedule a customer during that time). It also has a basic retail section that I can add purchases to boarding or grooming or daycare appointments. Sends out emails to customers to confirm appointments. I even figured out a way to have the system send out reminder emails to clients who haven't been in for grooming in a while. I can list add- on services to basic services, for example special trimming or special shampoos can be added to the basic grooming and all those costs can be tabulated. Even more important, when the customer signs online to set their own appointment, they can add those extra services as well. Which is great for someone like me who hates to try to upsell people. And when I can't figure out how to do something, or what a particular function is for, email support gets me a response quickly.

Cons: At the moment there is no report that I can print what all my grooming appointments are for the day INCLUDING those extra add on services. Also retail services, which is still in beta, allows for only one variation of a product. So for example I can put list a Dog collar and have variations of color e.g., red, blue, green. But I can't also add a second variation of small medium and large. I have to list each size as a separate item. Which is a pretty minor issue considering all the other wonderful things this program will do for you.

Pros: As a new business, I wanted to find something that we could have in place right away after our grand opening. I LOVE that ProPet gives a full month free trial. I did a trial of a couple other products at the same time, but within a few days of interacting with the ProPet software, I knew that this would very likely be the product I'd choose. We are currently offering boarding and daycare, with grooming coming soon, and training being added in about half a year. I really love how easily the software can be customized to our specific needs. We were even able to easily add in a separate booking system when we decided to add a do-it-yourself dog wash to our offerings. We will also probably have a small amount of retail, so I like that ProPet has that capability too.

Now that we're officially open and taking in clients, I'm enjoying how easy it is to check in a dog, scan & upload vaccination documents (if the client didn't do it ahead of time), take a payment, modify a reservation if needed, etc. It literally takes me 2-5 minutes to deal with the administrative parts of check-in, giving me plenty of time to focus on building the relationship with the client and their dog(s).

The easy connection with MailChimp for email campaigns, Stripe for payment processing, and QuickBooks for bookkeeping also makes the administrative parts of the job smoother, and even enjoyable! Ooh, wouldn't it be great if they connected with an easy website builder like Weebly! :-)

Cons: This is pretty minor, but I would love to see ProPet add tutorial videos for those of us who are visual learners.

Pros: ProPet has been extremely easy to use and train others to use. It takes very few clicks to book or change daycare appointments and boarding reservations. Functions such as 'Kennel View' and its drag and drop feature make it so easy to check/adjust current and future kennel assignments. Setting up the registration for our classes has also been pretty easy. Also, being able to have our clients communicate with us through their client portal has been great; they really enjoy being able to create their own appointments. I have been very impressed by the many ways we are able to utilize the software (e.g. boarding, daycare, dog walks, training registration, etc).

Cons: The downside to this software is that there is no manual and if I have a question I have to submit a ticket but it takes 24 hours (or more) for someone to respond or resolve the issue. The ProPet support team are very good --they're very accomodating and always willing to help--it's just the lag time between the issue I am having and the time to response can be frustrating especially when you're first getting started with the software. I wish I could resolve my own issues by having troubleshooting resources available that could tell me what to do.

Overall: We have been able to integrate all of the components of our business into one software. We are able to control class/training registration, schedule daycare/boarding appointments, and maintain dog walking schedules using 1 program. There is just so much the software can do and we have been very happy with it so far.

Pros: Ease of use

Cons: No signature in the reply function with email communications. Every business has signatures in their emails to remain professional. I have to type a full signature each time I reply and there is no logo or links our website.

Overall: I have had the pleasure of watching ProPet grow into a "must have" online booking software. The fact that it is not only easy to use but functions well 100% of the time is wonderful. It fully integrates with QuickBooks Online and saves hours on data entry for receivables. The support is friendly and prompt to respond. Not only am I an avid user for Sunnidale Boarding Kennels but a fan! Keep up the great work!

Cons: Limited reporting abilities (financial especially) but told more coming...

Overall: In 10 years we've got from our own spreadsheets thru 3 different purchased software packages. Demo'd several more. Experience has been overall frustrating to find the solution for our needs. Kept having to change how we do it to match how the software can support us. Propet is the most intuitive, customizable solution available. We signed on back during their beta phase, had a couple small bumps along the way but customer service is amazing and they not just fix but improve things. Regular on-going updates provide more features and improvements often. Still a couple minor things on my wish list with them but confident moving forward they will the forever solution. Cost is a bit higher than we paid for installed software options but feel it's been worth it.

Pros: The customers account and ability to update their information, send booking requests etc. It has taken away easily an hour of work each day for me entering bookings and customers.

Cons: That there are still some glitches or issues that come up but with that said customer support has always been great and finding a fix or solution. It's a new system there are bound to be the odd glitch.

Overall: We recently switched to Propet from our old kennel software and overall are so happy with the switch!

It's very user friendly and has been easy for all our staff to learn. Does almost everything we'd like it to. It is a rather new system so there sometimes have been the odd glitch or issue but the excellent customer support has helped whenever I need them. Unfortunately they only sell and charge in US dollars and located in Canada I wish they had a Canadian Dollars option.

Overall the switch is night and day from what we used to have and I'd definitely recommend this product!

It has been an easy transition moving from our old program to ProPet

Pros: I like the fact that the transition was very easy from our old program to this one, this program is easy to use and offers a lot of flexibility.
Customer service has been great in assisting me with any questions and providing information on certain functions of the program. I also like the fact that you are constantly improving based on the customer feedback and requests. I also love the fact that I can log in from anywhere to make changes or create a booking.,.

Cons: I wish there was a way to have payments allocated in to the particular service when dealing with a dog that is already checked in under one service. For example.....when I have a dig that is checked into daycare but is also getting a groom and paying for a class, rather then it all go under the daycare (having them be entered as an add on service), have the other services go under their particular service area all while keeping it on one invoice.
I am looking very forward to having the commission report completed as well as I have 2 groomers on staff right now and their payroll take a while to go through.

Overall: Easy to use

Pros: The way the customer pages are laid out - I can see all their info as well as upload questions and forms for them to complete.

Cons: Takes too long to book simple grooming appts. Cannot book repeating pack walks easily. I basically never check out grooming appts because takes so long on a mobile version.

Overall: Customer service is above average, the program keeps improving, and it meets all my business needs except for booking pack walk services with ease.

Recommendations to other buyers: Add the ability to click on calendar and book grooming appt with all the usual details. Please improve repeat walk functionality!

Pros: The software has everything we need to track, document, interact via emails, invoicing and uploading pictures of the dogs & cats to show up on the kennel cards (AKA boarding sheet). Easy to maneuver through and get everything we need or need to document. The notes on the customer's page is great for sharing info with others in the facility for check in and check out purposes.

Cons: There is not a thing we can say that is negative about this software as it has exactly what we need for our boarding facility. Incredibly easy to teach new employees on the software and it hasn't failed us yet.

Pros: I can't choose just one thing that I like most about ProPet. I love how easy the program makes our daily tasks. We no longer have to make Confirmation Calls to remind customers about their dog's stay with us - instead they now get email reminders. I also love how everything is in one place & customers can also access their account to see if they have bills to pay, book reservations, etc. We love ProPet!

Cons: What I like least about ProPet is just the fact that not all of our customers aren't really thrilled about the new system. We've received a few complaints that we are going this route but you know what's awesome? It doesn't matter if they are on board or not! We can still use the software and customers don't even have to ever access their account if they do not want to.

Overall: We have already saved so much paper & time with this software program. We are heading into one of our busiest weeks of the year (4th of July) and it has been so easy getting everything together for each individual customer. :)

Pros: We love how much this has simplified the booking process along with enabling us to better manage and visualize how full our boarding & day care facilities are throughout the day, week and months.

Also love how easy it is to track outstanding balances, secure vaccination records and our clients love having their own personal dashboard to manage their pets' visits.

Cons: There are some parts of our business that the software does not perfectly fit just yet, but the Propet team has been very open to our feedback and has regularly assisted in trying to create a solution that works.

Pros: The only system out there that I could find which could accommodate the pre-pay vouchers we use in our business and keep the customer records we need to be compliant with our license in a cloud based system. Customers love being able to book and check how many vouchers they have left and it has saved us about 20h admin per week. The customer service and support in moving from our old paper-based system to this cloud based system have been of a "Dimond" standard.

Cons: As we are UK based you have to pay in $, not £ and the excellent customer support is only contactable after 2 pm - minor stuff. Some of the business report tools don't let you integrate the numbers as much as I would like (hence the 4stars and not 5 stars) but to be fair to Pro Pet they have helped me out with a couple and I guess I might not be the typical customer.

Overall: Reduced our admin time by 90% which more than covers the monthly charge. Our customers love that they can order online and see what they have used.

Pros: I love the kennel view feature and the ability to see who is in which kennels on which dates/times. The ease at which clients can request dates and times and the flexibility to change schedules and fees.

Cons: The Iphone app has some serious limitations but they are constantly improving so hope to see improvements soon. Additionally, even though you set your kennel numbers, the system still allows clients to request dates when you are already at capacity.

Overall: It saves us an incredible amount of time and limits the back and forth of emails to schedule dogs coming in for boarding.

Pros: It is very easy to learn and use. They are always updating the functionality as well. It is clean and nice to look at and our clients love that they can post a profile photo of their dog. We get compliments all the time on it - clients find it easy to use. The customer support is fantastic! They take care of questions/suggestions quickly and resolve issues within 24 hours typically. I love that we can modify it for our own use in terms of the information that we collect, and that we can collect all information online. I like that we can modify the emails that are sent to clients to ask for specific things, or remind them of things. It is so easy to use and adjust as we see how clients react to it and how the complete information. I highly recommend this software.

Cons: The daily reports could be sorted better in terms of how they print out. I would like to have a separation between drop off and pick up times so that the report is more visually appealing and easier to read.

Cons: I dislike the new kennel view style - it is confusing to me
I wish it was easier to book kennels so that the next booking automatically chooses a kennel where another dog is leaving that same day instead of an empty kennel.

Pros: It integrates with QuickBooks, has more useful features than I originally thought, has streamlined the operations of my business and eliminated much of the tedious paperwork we have been doing for the past 20 years. The customer service is surpassed by none; the ProPet team are dedicated to their clients and the functionality of their software! I have been working with the ProPet team for only 3 months and using the software for only 2 weeks and my only regret is that I didn't find them sooner. Don't wait another second, sign up for a demo, you will not regret it!

Cons: Currently there is not a dedicated module for a dog walking service. Having said that, the team is working very hard to accommodate our needs and helping us navigate the current system to ensure the dog walking portion of my business runs as smoothly as the daycare, grooming and retail.

Pros: It is flexible and adaptable to a variety of dog boarding situations.

Cons: The reports available need some improvement. A daily sales figure(versus money collected) is key. The ability to provide a customer with a monthly statement would also be helpful.

Overall: We looked at a lot of Kennel software before choosing Propet. Overall it is the best for our situation. They have been great at adapting to specific needs. A few issues remain unresolved, for instance you are not able to provide a statement for a customer, but I am sure as time goes on they will have this resolved.

Cons: Still a lot we have been trying to get resolved, been told its in the works.

Overall: We have started using this program about a year ago, still working out the kinks! rep is fantastic at getting back to us and helping us figure everything out. There is still a lot of aspects we would like to see up and running to help us operate more efficiently (report cards, quick check in, board cards etc). We understand you are all in the process of making ProPet better.

Pros: It simply works and meets all of our needs and clients can book 24/7. We are able to plan our day accordingly, it generates reports accurately

Cons: the fact that we are being charged US dollars vs Cnd. every month our fee is different because of the currency rate, it should be a flat fee and in Cnd$. I understood that the owners were canadian so why in USD?

Overall: Its available on line 24/7 and iphone friendly

Pros: It's organization, customer record keeping, online booking ease, and overall cost.

Cons: There are a few bugs here and there and a few more features we would like implemented

Overall: ProPet is fantastic! Once Brooks Canine Center switched, our organization increased, our customer satisfaction increased, and our overall workflow and productivity has drastically gone up. I cannot recommend ProPet enough to anyone in the pet care business!

Pros: The way it helps organize our company and customers. Our customers have said they like receiving the automatic reminders of appointments. We like the use of kennel cards with pictures and all of the details available on the cards.

Cons: When we added kennels to our building we weren't able to add them visually in the the "kennel view" screen where we would have liked.

Overall: The increase in customer base due to ability to organize.

Pros: Online booking system is a very nice feature and our clients also enjoy it. The clients can upload photos of their pet/s and monitor their passes at all times from any where. A lot of features to choose to use.

Cons: Can be difficult to navigate and use some of the features. Finding that some of the reports are not always 100% accurate. Some of the features we do not use.

Pros: Very easy navigate and to use. It has a modern look that's smooth/clean. It has all the "must have" features for my business - CRM with photo uploads, vaccine history & alerts, "Buddy List" for the dogs in my care, color codes for both clients and dogs, etc. The price point is unbeatable, in my opinion.

Cons: The dog training software is still in beta, so it's a work in progress. If I'm allowed to update my review, I'll update it when the training software is live.

Overall: A very easy to use CRM that allows me to track our new and previous clients, keep track of their dogs goals and needs, add unique color codes to them or their dogs, add other dogs to a dog's Buddy List, etc. This has really made my day-to-day admin duties easier!

Comments: I have been with Propet for over a year and a half since they started up and have watched their system grow into a user friendly, flexible, multi-component program which I believe would fit just about any business dealing with boarding, daycare, grooming or any other aspect of animal care. The grooming module still needs some work and there are a couple of functions that are not flexible enough for our needs (bulk vouchers being the worst). It makes some of the work arounds very awkward and confusing for both customers and staff. That being said though, our customers really enjoy the ability to book their dogs anytime they think of it on-line; they love the reminders and the fact that they can see their account standing at any time. We have had mainly positive feedback concerning this program and it has helped us eliminate some of our problems, including overbooking, or missed bookings. All in all I would rate this software a solid 4 out of 5 stars with a definite belief that they can obtain a five star rating in the near future. And best of all; their customer service is amazing! Quick, through and easy to deal with, they always either solve the problem or admit they aren't sure but continue to work on it until they can fix it. Can't say enough about their support staff.

The app was meant to simply be a companion to the actual software and do plan to add more features to it in the future. We are actually working on an integration with a new payment processor so perhaps you will be interested in switching. Stripe actually offers Australian users a better rate than North American users. I'm not sure which review you found to be fake! I can assure you that we don't ask for reviews from facilities who aren't customers, nor do we fabricate fake reviews.

Pros: Almost able to run my complete business and they try really hard to make it all work but it doesn't for the home pet services side.

Cons: I have a home pet sitting services and I can't quite get that integrated. I did have an issue with the QuickBooks integration but they fixed quickky

Overall: Really helps me to know what my staffing requirements are as we can see immediately what our reservations are for the day or week. I use the report functions daily. Very user friendly!

Pros: This program is very easy to use. It is very customisable which is great and it has every feature We needed, which is very rare to find. We had used and trialled 6 programs previously, but had looked at dozens. Proper is the only one that did everything we needed.

Cons: It is on the pricier side of programs available. The ap is limited with its functions. It does pretty much everything other then make bookings which is what I want to use it for while out and about.

Overall: More streamlined booking system that multiple staff can use at once. Customers can send requests making bookings quicker and easier.

Pros: Friendly looking user interface with the ability for customers to have their own accounts. Customers like it. They can easily request reservations, upload vaccinations records and communicate with staff in one place. The customer support has been very good, but is only done through email unless you request a phone call.

Cons: Too invoice heavy. Some important reports for dogs are lacking or still in development. Some of the navigation is not intuitive or easy to use. Lacks some of the features we consider vital to ease of booking.

Pros: It's easy to find where I need to go. I'm not going through a million different steps to get to a client from the home screen. I can access it from many different places with just one click.

Cons: I do retail sales (and I know there is an update coming soon), so it's one extra step to make sure I get the sales tax included. And there are a couple other little quarks, although I can't remember them for the life of me right now, so must not be too important.

Comments: I recently switched to Propet from a different software and they have made the transition seamless. Amazing customer service that always has rapid and helpful responses. They appreciate feedback and will work with your individual situation/business.

The software itself is easy to use, the layout is nice and intuitive and it's easy to go back and change details in the past. It automatically emails clients booking and invoice confirmations. It does everything a daycare and boarding interface should. Overall I'm loving my decision to switch.

Pros: The flexibility of ProPet is amazing. We searched for a long time to find the right fit for what we do. ProPet does it all and more. Additionally, utilizing the software has taught us a few things that we didn't think of to improve efficiency and increase revenue.

Pros: ProPet has saved my team and I endless hours coordinating and booking clients. No more whiteboards for us!

Cons: At this moment in time, nothing comes to mind. The customer service is responsive, the software is reliable and most of all, it makes billing our clients a breeze.

Pros: I don't have typical boarding and daycare but use those features for our training programs. It's great that the software adapts to our unique setup.

Cons: I really haven't run into any so far. It would be nice to assign a spot for daycare dogs over a stretch of days at once like for boarding vs dragging it Down per day. But this is something that is probably usueful to my business more than a standard daycare.

Pros: I eeally like the ease of booking a reservation and checking vaccination expiration dates so clients know ahead of time

Cons: I would like to be able to print the kennel view as a spreadsheet for a date range or download to excel. I would also like to print a list of arriving dogs and dogs checking out. Ad hoc reports that allow the user to select fields would be great too

Overall: Saves a lot of staff time

Pros: They always seem to be working on improving it, which is great. Customer service is super helpful! It's pretty easy to tailor to my specific needs.

Cons: There's a couple of little things, like how to do refunds with payfirma, etc that I know they are working on. Customer service sometimes takes a little while to get back to you but most of the time it's within a day.

Comments: After trailing the majority of kennel software programs from numerous countries over 12 months, ProPet is the best by far & our search is over.

The customer can book directly online & manage their whole booking from start to finish & that's what we were looking for. As a small business this saves us tens of thousands of dollars per year on administration time.

The ProPet support staff are amazing & efficient & its exciting to see updates & new features being added all the time to make it even better!

Pros: Easy to use and access anywhere. Clients become connected to your facility and get knoledge from the customer portal.

Cons: There needs to be a app for clients to beable to receive the information and details they put onliner and so they can book apts from a app

Pros: dragging things around in the kennel plan. being able to customise it. immediate feedback to questions.

Overall: Can plan well in advance and transfer inportant info from computer files to something that all staff can easily see and use.

Pros: Love its functionality and how user friendly it is. It does 99% of everything we need for our business. Looks professional and high end.

Cons: Wish the private training options could be more customizable and that employees didn't have access to the dashboard or full kennel view options.

Comments: This software is a must for any pet boarding/daycare business. It is beyond helpful as it gives you the opportunity to do everything in one shot instead of having to use multiple softwares or websites. It's also very useful to your clients who can update their info, submit requests, message you and pay for services in one stop.
The invoicing can be a little tricky as it uses the Stripe system to pay and takes a bit longer to receive the money, but other than that this is hands down making our dog boarding business that much easier to maintain.
We look forward to the continued usage and partnership with Propetware.

Pros: All the awesome features. The ease of use, the reports, the calendar, the vaccination notices. The customer portals.

Cons: It's hard when you have a question but don't get a response for 24 hours. You have an issue and would like it resolved quickly.

Pros: The ease of use.

Overall: Our kennel staff has learned together to use the software and all have found it easy to do so. Our customers have also been complimenting us and thanking us for adding it to our services and to our site. They have loved having access to reservations online and said it's easy to use and very helpful.
