April 23, 2018 3.0 Pros There are a lot of pros to PromoRepublic, even if my headline doesn't sound like it! I really like their Canva-like image editing and creation tool and the fact that you can change the images they recommend for your specific branding. The calendar tool is handy to have and I like that PromoRepublic integrates with so many 3rd party tools, especially Buffer. Cons Most of the content I curate is about social media marketing and it's really frustrating that their search function returns outdated and low-quality articles. Pros I really like the ease of use and the variety of content available. Cons Not being able to post from my phone and having to post from the laptop or iPad can be a bit annoying at times. Pros The software is easy to use and offers a lot of functionality that would be helpful for users who are not experienced in design, social media scheduling, and online strategy. Cons When compared to similar software, PromoRepublic is a rip-off. As someone who works on dozens of clients as part of an agency, this product is frustrating, as it limits the number of accounts you can work on for each pricing tier. I have also experienced many functionality issues with Instagram scheduling, so much so that my team has stopped using PR for Instagram all together. Review Source JM Joe M. Cons An internal issue is that the servers are located outside the USA so clients always ask why posts are coming from outside the USA. However, the app makes it super easy to post to Instagram. Pros PromoRepublic is one of my go-to tools for social media posts. It's the quickest way for me to create and schedule content to different platforms, including Instagram, with the click of a button. Cons There hasn't been a lot of new features added to the tool and the templates have remained the same and there aren't any new categories. Review Source Chris K. Though I do wish the backend was a bit different/easier to use. I prefer Stencil's backend better for designing the posts. Pros HAs a good amount of templates and elements that one can use to create the posts. I do like that you can easily add your accounts into the system. Cons The backend feels a bit clunky to me. It just doesn't feel as well laid out or as user friendly and modern as other tools I have used (which I am surprised by given the hype with PromoRepublic). This has been the biggest disappointment for me. Given its lack of updates I suspect this tool has been abandoned. Pros The only good thing about this tool was its ease of use. It´s intuitive but in all honesty, all similar tools are also very user-friendly. Cons The templates are OK, but they are never updated. Every week I see the exact same templates which is useless if I want to show fresh content in my social media accounts. 80% of the times I end up creating my own designs with a different tool. I seriously don't know what I would do with out it. I would purchase this software over and over, and I would definitely recommend it to others. Pros So many things to like...it's great that it is so easy to use, and it has so many options to make posting unique and creative. I can input everything on Monday and let it go for as long as I need. Cons Some times the software will make duplicate posts on instagram, but I can foresee it and keep that from happening, so it's not really a big deal. I don't need designers or copywriters to create my social media content. I create everything in PR myself and schedule created content to all my social media channels - Facebook, Twitter and Instagram. I love how they always update their templates and follow all the trends & holidays. Basically, I can login to Promorepublic, and I always have something to post. There's no more content headache for me! Support is also pretty fast and polite. My only wish is the iOS app, they don't have it now, but probably create someday. Review Source Rochelle P. I can also see a quick snapshot of my results, which is much appreciated. Cons PromoRepublic offers the ability to post to Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Facebook Pages. Pros I love the reporting and the content suggestions on the "upcoming events" tab. Cons Ability to easily attach multiple Instagram accounts when working with several workspaces. I would also like the reporting analytics to be shown in a Pie Chart or Bar Graph style. I'm lazy, and I don't want to spend time posting things for my biz unless I know that the time I put in gives me a solid ROI. This simplifies the whole thing by providing templates to make it easy, and the AI to figure out when to post so I don't have to look at all the data and figure it out myself. Cons The editor is a bit clunky to use and doesn't always work the way I want it to but the benefits of the app far outweigh this and realistically, myself or my assistant use another image editing system first so the editor isn't really needed for me. The team has consistently improved every aspect since I started using the app and I do have confidence that the image editing will be as good as my current option in the near future. But it has some way to go still to be good enough in most aspects before I can truly use it consistently. Pros The auto posting schedule suggestion is good! Cons Cannot post to Instagram directly. I'm a light weight user so I haven't gotten into the more advanced features that a social media manager would use. Pros As a novice, it was very easy for me to link all my accounts and setup posts. Everything was pretty straight forward and made it easy to type out posts that I could post simultaneously to multiple accounts. Cons Instagram isn't integrated, so it appears there's a more complicated process where you have to go in the Instagram app and approve a post? I haven't used it for Instagram, but PromoRepublic has posted that they have fixes coming for Instagram.
