Pros: Sugar is a very simple and approachable program. The functionality makes it an easy training experience for new hires.

Cons: The program tends to crash frequently. Once daily. It also has a difficult time processing multiple notes if you change the scheduled call time simultaneously.

Pros: SugarCRM is a friendly software to know advantage activities of your sales force or projects. It's easy to have a control in each activities, any person can help a customer requirement.

Cons: No cons, just is necessary to have a culture in your work team to introduce each one of activities during the day. It's a good practice to will have.

Pros: Ease. You can navigate and manipulate in so many different ways to make things so much easier for your sales team.

Cons: The updates. They aren't frequent, but we can all do without them. Right? other than that, nothing else to say.

Pros: I love the user interface, particularly how one can view various data about a contact without wasting time clicking through to the full contact view. The customized reports, headings, and sections are fantastic. So far our implementation has gone very well with helpful support from a Sugar vendor.

Cons: So far we haven't experienced any cons. Sugar is significantly more expensive than our previous CRM but cheaper than Salesforce, so it seems like a great midrange CRM for a company with 3-5 years of business in the growth stage.

I think its simple and it gets the job done. Call logging and note logging. Pendings as well.

Pros: I think it simplistically allows me to keep track of the sales progress of each acccount which is vital. Call logging, note logging, and pending oppurtunity logging. All are essential in making sure you are adequatley doing your job.

Cons: It seems to crash pretty often. I am not sure if that is my company server problem or an issue with Sugar. So if that were eliminated then it would no longer be an issue and I would be one happy camper

Overall: Keeping track of the sales process and allows for a very neat transition from the phone to a digital log.

Comments: Not a good experience from my side personally. We went into partnership through Sugar for our CRM The Project was sent in its entirety to Fellow Consulting the so called Elite Partner before anything started for accurate examination and projected costs. Its now April 2018 ,11 months later we cannot present the CRM to staff for implementation. We managed in December to get Sugar Technical experts to look at the situation and to the work of Fellow Consulting and this raised more questions than answers as to why Fellow did what they did. I begged SugarCRM to assist but all to no effect and now we go to Court. The attitude from one of the rep was one of complete indifference to whether we went legal. I am not big enough for this to worry SugarCRM in any way. The CEO sent me a email that he was concerned about our experience and that I should contact him, I did but never got an answer. We have now started with a New Company for our CRM needs and going to Court with Fellow Consulting and SugarCRM. I wish this was not necessary as there are no real winners in such cases but currently I have nothing to lose. I hope that justice will eventually be done as there is no other way with these Companies from my experience.

Pros: I learned a lot about Contracts and the do' and dont's about what to look for with contracts of this nature, SugarCrm leave themselves no a position of being very hard to touch regardless to what they do to you.

Cons: we have existed as a Company since Jan 2010 and always made money. Since putting our Trust in Sugarcarm we lost a lot of money, as we had no CRM to work with.

Pros: The tool is intuitive and very easy to use, there is the option to use the cloud in a private server or use the software tool as a service, it has a variety of modules to carry out the management of clients, such as sales, marketing campaigns, opportunities, potential customers, everything related to meetings and appointments to be carried out by sales executives, among others. It has a module to carry out project management related to opportunities and contributions made. It also has a version for mobile devices that allows you to review information or keep the information of the CRM updated from the comfort of the smart phone and / or tablet. It has the ability to add new fields to the forms by further personalizing the tool, there is a version in which you can by role display a certain form. It has the capacity to extend it by adding new modules

Cons: It has a module to record tasks, which can be used for assigning different activities to employees, in this part you may be able to add some type of SLA and in this way to measure the time it takes for users to complete tasks according to the assignment date and the SLAs registered for a specific type of task. Workflows are very basic for the professional version

Overall: Management of all information related to customers and sales in a single software in a centralized manner that can be accessed by any type of device in real time, providing valuable information for decision making made by the management controls

Pros: Ability to quickly and easily parse through the contact data, including sales quotes and order forms. The small side bar, which out of the box, provides easy to use data with a customizable formatting. Our integration is able to natively leverage these tables for data insert/export. Combining all this data plus the ability to configure work flows and automations, is priceless for a CRM.

Sugar's partner community is vast and quick to respond for all issues. Very responsive.

Cons: Sugar CRM can sometimes but troublesome to investigate issues, as a lot of the environments are cloud based. This usually involves sending an email to support where they are quick to remedy the issue.

Overall: A CRM with a tight partner community, strong work flows and automation rules, with easy integrations a plenty!

Pros: I liked how easy the initial set up and install process was, it's a 'small' but powerful CRM that does what most small businesses would need it to do.

Cons: Sometimes the User experience isn't that intuitive or simple, it's got less functionality compared to Microsoft D365 or Salesforce, but I think it's good for the right size of business.

Pros: As an end user and having an employer that has taken advantage of automation I have learned to enjoy this CRM. I can preform the same job and save 1/4 of the time I use to spend on the exact same transactions.

Cons: This may be because a function was not included in our CRM but having to click on more tasks and wait as the tool buffers does not allow me to move as fast as I might otherwise and is a little frustrating. It also experiences little hiccups on a frequent basis. This has happened in the middle of a transaction and I have lost important notes because I'm not in the habit of saving my notes until I'm done. If you are entering in important information you should save frequently.

Awesome CRM at both the enterprise level as well as at SMB; even startups could benefit from it.

Pros: Very easy to use, very easy to migrate data.

Adding leads to the system is as easy as 1, 2, 3 and following up is very easy since there are very good notifications that could be sent to your email (which means they could be sent to your smartphone as well, hehe :-)).

Cons: Naturally, there's a learning curve and the need to customize the system to show the right data and not an abundance of it.

Some people may think it's a little dull or outdated, especially in terms of overall UX but I think the simplicity is the key deal maker here.

Overall: Very easy to use, gives a lot of benefits for its price.

I would definitely recommend others to use it (and I do :-)).

Pros: This software took a bit to learn, but once you learned the logic behind the software, the reporting was very easy to use. There was the ability to store lots of information about a client, more than you could ever possibly need.

Cons: The software was pretty rigid; I was never aware of ways to make changes to it. The way that some of the information was organized was sometimes confusing.

Overall: The ability to log and store information about clients was limitless.

Comments: Lots of great features, highly integrateable

Pros: This is great for small, mid-sized businesses. The backend setup is very user-friendly and the fact that you can make multiple fields for data at one time is a huge plus! I also very much enjoy the process builder on the back for automation. Great functionality.

Cons: There just seems to be something missing. There is tons of things this app does right, but there are a few things that it does wrong as well. But for the pricepoint you cant really be mad at it.

Great reporting capabilities. However, the system has major glitches on a day-to-day basis.

Pros: The only reason we keep this program is due to the reporting option and amount of eligible shortcuts.

Cons: There are so many flaws and inconsistencies in this program it's laughable. I would not recommend this system for dispatching purposes. Not user friendly.

Pros: very basic interface makes Sugar easy to use and train colleagues on how to navigate. Uploading documents is easy, tracking changes in accounts or which were viewed are conveniently located at the top. Reporting can be improved but simple boolean phrases work!

Cons: Search bar can be a headache - you absolutely have to know the exact account name from first to last name/word or else it won't show up in the results. Integration with other software is not supported either.

Overall: our previous CMS for our sales and accounting team... but we have transitioned.

Pros: I love the customization that is available through Sugar CRM. We have a variety of different teams using this CRM and we have been able to work with our dedicated support person to make sure it is working exactly how we want it.

Cons: It is a little bit more mouse driven than our previous data entry system so we are finding that things take slightly longer to enter with the need to click into different modules and screens. Once we adjust to that, I think it's going to be very well received!

Pros: highly customizable for different business use cases. It offers out of the box solutions through their workflow function but can be extended using scripts/ logic hooks for seasoned developers.

Cons: The things which I disliked are--

Pros: Built-in development tool (Studio) and the Advanced Workflow Manager. One can have a functional, useful, robust, effective, CRM running within an hour. Getting started by importing Accounts and Contacts is easy and the software modules allows customization the meet specific business needs.

Cons: The Advanced Workflow Manager is still missing a few functions that were available in the "old" Workflow Manager. There is a plan to remove the prior Workflow, but its demise has been delayed until the SugarCRM folks fix the deficiencies.

Overall: Better Customer Satisfaction from effective management of touch points. Sales productivity because they spend less time doing "paperwork" and more time selling. Effective management of RGA process, Special Quotes, Purchasing, mailing literature, tracking sales activity.

A step up but not nearly what we thought it would be.

Pros: Extremely configurable, vastly customizable, lots of modules available, large online community, free version.

Cons: The only sad part about it is that all the captions used for drop-down lists (Or radio buttons or any multiple choice controls) are stored straight to PHP pages and not in the database (So in MySql you end up having only keys but no trace of the long values). There is some workaround (Nightly job to extract and copy those in a table), but it's a hassle.

Overall: Great tool to manage relations with customers and follow-ups, brought some visibility where it was lacking.

Pros: Love this CRM due to the fact it is so easy to use. The training really is self explanatory and I LOVE the reports it can run.

Cons: Sometimes when there is a "glitch" it will double book someone. Really is important to look at the date of the meeting right after the appt. is booked

Pros: Is a very good software at least the on-demand version I use. as a CRM is very good but it also tries to be a help desk and it is not. very reliable and love to extract the raw data to excel and do whatever I want with the data

Cons: Much complicated, too much to customize, and configurate, the access levels and roles are not easy to set up. takes times to deploy, and cost per seat, is kinda expensive.

Overall: if you need an online crm this can do good for you, Others are also less expensive but with less features.

Comments: a powerful CRM that is very similar to Salesforce

Pros: All the features and functionalities of a CRM, automates tasks and allows users to manage a pipeline.

Pros: Its going to be difficult to provide any pro's about SugarCRM. I inherited this CRM after coming from multiple companies using salesforce. Sugar is about 40% less expensive than salesforce, and we use the on-premise, but cloud hosted model.

Cons: There are a lot of downsides to sugar. We had corruption issues each time we upgraded, dashboards are extremely limited, and you cannot push out dashboards to users. I find it difficult to use from a UI perspective, where expanded panels make the UI sluggish and busy. searching in the global search bar is odd and you never get proper results, results sets only return up to 1000 rows, other than that you need a report which is extremely difficult to use. Forecasting requires the individual to select the commit button, not the sales manager. You cannot set global quota, but rather a quota per month manually.Probably the most non intuitive UI i have ever used. Every new sales person is just bewildered by its use.

Overall: Its a CRM so it holds our customer data, but it fails at basic things like contract management, support ticketing, opportunity management, forecasting and searching

We used Sales Force in the past but had issues with shared views, not the case very user friendly

Pros: Ability to adapt, user friendly, ability to hold alot of documents per account. We used Sales Force in the past and had issues with shared views with representatives covering shared territory. That has not been the case with Sugar

Cons: phone application needs help. This is the only issue we have noticed it does't take all the required data so they the reps have to add more via PC

Overall: Such a great user-friendly CSR dramatically helped us with our database and email/direct mailers.

Pros: its easy to navigate and use with customers and prospects. Like the features, and how easy it is to input information, set categories and work with my reps on using the system

Cons: There is nothing I don't like. I have only been using this software for about 3 months, and we would like to get outlook to relate to the system, so our appointments populate. THat is something we'd like to work better.

Overall: useful prospecting for sales accounts and setting up meetings

Sugar has been very helpful to our organization. We document every contact we have with our clients.

Pros: We document any contact we have with our clients. Anyone in our organization is able to pick up where another left off simply by looking at our notes in Sugar. We don't have to remember what we did last week, month or even last year, instead we simply review our notes.

Pros: Fairly easy to learn and navigate through. I like that we can track and enter information for our data maintenance.

Cons: Too many clicks to get from save to another. Gets frustrating.

Pros: We have been using SugarCRM for several year and have been satisfied with the product. We really enjoy the ease of use of the tool, the Microsoft Outlook plugin that easily allows emails to be sent to SugarCRM, as well as the relatively affordable cost.

Pros: It's really good to keep a track of all different incidents from customers, it manages to create a ticket number for each and is very organized, it allows to create templates for easy ticket creation

Pros: I like that I can add lots of features and functionality myself, including whole new custom modules. As my workplace deals with lots of custom items Sugar fills our custom needs. Our reseller has been fantastic in keeping that custom functionality.

Cons: I dislike that we are able to edit default field formulas at all without an easy "restore." I think this makes it easy for a developer to make a small mistake that can cause the instance to stop being "upgrade safe." I wish customizing the color, notifications and "logos" were easy to change in an ondemand instance. I also want the global search function to be more consistent.

Overall: An easy way for a business to manage their customers. It can be as custom or out of the box as they want to make it.

For me, it was Salesforce vs. Sugar CRM. SugarCRM is half the cost, and does the same job.

Pros: Very flexible and easy to edit. Fast response time on queries (I use the OnDemand cloud version). Good support for SugarCRM staff. And there are many integrations and plugins that enhance the experience.

Cons: Lot of 3rd party integrations and customizations can "break" as Sugar goes through upgrades. The Word and Outlook Add-ins are a bit awkward and time consuming -- but they do work as advertised. Sometime there is constant re-logging in to make them work.

Overall: I run my entire company using this CRM system.

Pros: The flexibility offered for the users is what I like the most about sugarcrm.
We can create custom fields and the integration of those with the studio is very easy to use.

Pros: It's easy to use and I like the functionality and customization ability. Our Sugar instance appears to have been customized for our industry. Adding drop-down menus and removing modules is simple and easy to learn if your not familiar with CRMs in general.

Cons: Importing data, even though properly mapped, doesn't always come out the way it should. It also would be nice if accounts would link with sub-panel data during the import phase. I also found pulling reports to be overly complicated, but like the addition of the report wizard.

Overall: Our sales team spends less time in the office and more time out in the field, but armed with powerful data before venturing on cold calls.

Good experience, but customer support should be included and not priced per hour to make changes.

Pros: Both salespeople and management are able to use the information generated to increase sales and look for new opportunities.

Cons: Not being a programmer, it can sometimes take a lot of work to tweak the program to specific ideas. Integrating old information that is not in Sugar categories had to be done manually and took a lot of time, but it was worth the effort.

Overall: We understand more about the daily activities of traveling and phone based salespeople and can be regularly updated with notes. Tech work is easily tracked and shared company wide instead of being branch based. Email and phone lists are easily generated to focus on specific groups.

Cons: I would say that only part I don't like is that it's a bear to do mass updates and mass exporting of data.

Comments: The culture of the 1CRM implementation of SugarCRM featuring incomplete, inflexible and user-unfriendly software reinforced by unhelpful and disdainful "support' is propagated throughout their network, for example by their German distributor Visual4 GmbH, who auto-renewed a subscription even though it had been cancelled (as just one example of their total administrative failure - they didn't know if you're a cloud or own-server customer, as another of many) and refusal to support a fully paid-up customer because s/he identified real and tangible problems rendering the software near-unusable.

Pros: The OpenSource concept is obviously wonderful, but needs to be transformed into a usable product with proper support, which is where 1CRM fails.

Cons: The leverage of SugarCRM into 1CRM fails in simple things like country lists that you can't add to, yet not all countries are included in the list (for example, there is no United Kingdom, UK, Britain, Great Britain, or England!), and the security certificate had expired. If you're ok to override the big red "insecure site" warnings to store your critical business data, go ahead. Me not. Whereupon "support" tells you it's your fault and you're stupid and anyway commercially useless to them. Reports are childishly implemented, can not be used by a business - but you can re-do them yourself using a clunky and functionally limited interface for an additional fee. Professional-looking offers, order confirmations, and invoices have been around for decades, should be included in the most basic version of any product, and should not need end-user re-programming at any cost.

Pros: SugarCRM functioned well for storing prospect and customer information.
I was able to load new contacts into the system without much hassle.
Our company is able to adjust the system software to fit our specific needs with ease simply by reaching out to the support team.

Cons: We wanted to explore other CRM options it was nearly impossible for me, from a user standpoint, to export all of our information.
We were coming up on the end of our trial and stood to lose all of our data and I couldn't figure out how to export it. Difficult to do filters as well. I didn't like the format for leads to accounts to sales. Pipeline is also difficult to follow.

Overall: One of the main benefits is having the mobile app that SugarCRM provides this helped to get us data and information at our fingertips when needed. Sugar is reasonably priced, has pretty good user-friendly interfaces and requires just a little training to get used to it. It's more suitable for mid-sized companies.

Pros: SugarCRM is a great tool. You can run this offline on your own servers. Sugar offers extensive help tools. Sugar is highly customizable. Sugar offers multi-currency support. There is a free version available as well.

Cons: The down falls that I only see with SugarCRM is that it offers limited import tools, and the storage has limits. It does have a daunting interface. It can at times be difficult to administer.
It does require up-front commitment to a minimum of ten users. There is no true trial available.

Overall: The benefits that I experienced with SugarCRM is that it shorten sales cycles. It helped to retain more customers. It helped to increase employee productivity. It did help to improve inter-departmental communication this was the biggest reason why we needed SugarCRM. SugarCRM helped us close the gaps in our sales and customer service processes.
We where able to integrate with other business systems which helps our overall processes.

Pros: It has very comprehensive help docs and the answer was always available. It offered a lot of customization with little experience in managing CRM.s

Cons: It was very very slow when running through Sugar's own servers. We had to pay a 3rd party to host this elsewhere which was lame because we were not managing very many people of leads.

Not ideal for cold calling, it was pretty clunky to track many calls per day.

Some of the more intense marketing automation stuff was not very intuitive, they made up a lot of their own language and had some annoying steps to get things done that were not always clear.

Overall: It was a great place to store leadscontacts/and track opportunity pipelines

Pros: Our company is able to adjust the system software to fit our specific needs with ease simply by reaching out to the support team.

Cons: Some of the features are a little generic and could be a little more updated with the times. Overall it is a good product.

Pros: We have highly customized the application and it has worked very well for our specific industry. Easy to program and easy to work with.

Cons: There are some legacy portions of the software that pose some challenges but Sugar upgrades their application often the only issue is when you run a highly customized sugar application it is challenging to upgrade to newer versions.

My experience was not the most enjoyable.

Pros: It functioned well for storing prospect and customer information. I was able to load new contacts into the system without much hassle.

Cons: When we decided we wanted to explore other CRM options it was nearly impossible for me, from a user standpoint, to export all of our information. We were coming up on the end of our trial and stood to lose all of our data and i couldn't figure out how to export it for the life of me. It may have been a user error but i consider myself to be pretty tech savvy.

Comments: Not real happy with customer service also.

Pros: It does have cool graphics The mobile app is pretty great, The whole premise of what it can do for you seems to great, just was difficult to make it perform like they said

Cons: I don't like that I have to input the same info multiple times on mulitple pages to get the info in the right place Difficult to do filters. I didnt like the format for leads to accounts to sales. Pipeline is difficult to follow also

Pros: Sugar is great in that it can be customized for virtually any application. The software is robust and rarely crashes. Reporting is very extensive and data can be mined for a multitude of scenarios

Cons: Interface can be too busy. Error messages can be cryptic or it is not obvious where the problem lies

Pros: easy to create list views and simple reports

Cons: creating workflows are not straight forward and are lacking functionality

Overall: I have been a user of Salesforce and Hubspot and Sugar seems more clunky and not as sophisticated as Salesforce's and Hubspot's functionality.

Pros: Lots of add-ons, more than one support group.

Cons: A lot of items need to be custom built.

Overall: We had the On Demand product, it started out with our data imported 4 times. Then we were blamed for the duplicates. We were promised features, that after setting everything up would now cost extra.

Recommendations to other buyers: Ask more questions before signing up.

Comments: Having worked extensively in Salesforce, I accepted a job where I would be managing SugarCRM instead. While it's functional enough it isn't as robust tool for sales analysis as Salesforce. I didn't find the reporting intuitive and worse it was rather clunky and didn't provide the dissection of data that I would expect from a CRM.
It is a great tool for a young company learning how best to scale but doesn't offer sufficient reporting and analysis to help scale a growing company.

Comments: I have used Saleforce on another job and when i started with my company I am with now we used Sugar. Boy what a difference. Much easier to use and faster to get reports done¿. Awesome!!! Archie Andrews would be proud!!

Overall: While there are other solutions out there for small businesses that may be easier to use, there isn't much IMO that offers 3rd party integration and nearly endless options for customization and growth. We have happily been using Sugar for over a decade now.

Recommendations to other buyers: Would appreciate a more simple solution for drip campaigns.

Pros: Easy to learn and easy to configure.

Cons: Has its limitations on configuration and fields that are available.

Overall: I have been using Sugar for about a year. I am the Contract Manager and have set up the Contracts module to meet our needs. I do find that the fields don't always work the way that I would like them to work, but have been able to improvise. Sugar is very easy to use and I was able to set up our contracting module with little help or training.

Comments: I've started using Sugar a few years back. Why can't the engineers at Sugar figure out how to create a way to print an account, email etc?

Comments: I am a user, not an administrator and I find the tool easy to use. I would say one area that could be improved is the search functionality. It is a little cumbersome and does not allow you to cross-search among different record types.

Pros: Pretty easy to use, robust mobile app, good reporting.

Cons: Some basic functionality is missing, ie, had to write a custom report/fields to be able to see when the last time a contact was contacted (email, meeting or phone).

Overall: Overall, Sugar has worked pretty well for us. As with most customizable software, it is all about the implementer and getting it set up well. If we had worked to get other areas more integrated, I would rate it higher. We are a smaller company (15 users), and do not have a " Sugar champion" other than the president. Reporting module is easy to use, the mobile app is (now) pretty good. We recently looked at the other major CRM apps, and chose to continue with Sugar. We are making some much needed changes to our Sugar instance, which will help with utilization.

Pros: High level of customizability

Cons: Not intuitive to customize, requires many complex steps to set up the way we like it.

Overall: Overall the SugarCRM platform has brought a lot of value to our organization. That being said, the mobile app needs more functionality and needs to be more integrated into the phones. Our organization has a number of traveling sales reps and for them to remember to use the Sugar App to make calls is tough. Also, we were told that when recieving a call the app when propmt the user to automatically log the call once they are off the phone, this does not happen. Last item of frustration is that there is no easy way to import contacts from their phones in the Sugar Platform.

Comments: I really like the flexibility and ease of customization. Through the developer studio, we have been able to customize Sugar to adapt to our ever changing business needs. The online support is also very good.
