Pros: We have a complex pricing structure and multiple locations and Cin 7 was one of the few software packages that has been able to cope with our set up

Cons: Subscribing to Cin 7 almost three years ago meant they were going through a lot of 'teething' problems and initially we did not receive the support we required. However we have seen a vast improvement but we did not think it fair as a reward for persevering they would triple the monthly fee, with out warning or good reason!

CIN7 has given us visibility and consistency within inventory management.

Pros: The details associated with the receipt, production, and pricing of products is critical to our business. Also, the advanced batch tracking processes ensure we are compliant with regulations and providing protection for our clients.

Cons: Some more extensive reference materials would be helpful. These exist, but sometimes updates to the system are not quickly reflected which can make it difficult for new employees to rely upon the documents.

Pros: Would give service more than 5 stars if I could = these Kiwi's have their act together. I researched a solution for our retail store for months feeling my research was comprehensive and ended up with a dead horse about a year ago. Finding a native api full inventory management magento 2 solution was hard soon after that release and these guys already had one tested & working perfect! I had let down time and time again with my last system keeping up with releases so knowing their coding team was up to the task of keeping up on releases was very important to me. When I went out to do my homework round two I was even more discerning to pick a software and found these guys to be far ahead of the competition in functionality, cost and simplicity. Shipping / assemblies / recorders / Bar codes / integrations .... they have their act together! Also our experience with our on-boarding coach Joey was absolutely top notch. Aside from knowing the answer 99% of the time I very much appreciated not getting BS'd on the 1% and have a "let me get an answer for you" and he would quick!.... If you are not using or looking at these guys I would. Service was / is top notch.

Cons: Perhaps layout .... but that would only imply I could point to one that I liked better and I cannot. Just in general if "I had to" point out one thing that was on the bottom of my like list.

Overall: service and great existing workflow

Pros: Some accountants with no knowledge of systems recommended it and that sold cin7 to our business as the accountants poor advice was valued more highly than someone who had actual knowledge of business information systems. It has an easier to dump in pricing structure than most, but at the same time it is easy to make a mess of. It has some connectivity, but connectivity never matches full integration.

I gave it a 35/100 last year as its not an integrated system and it slipped a few points with use. A much better integrated system scored much higher than this but had a smaller support team and had a higher cost per year but was operationally much cheaper through increased labour savings from reduced duplicated effort and errors. Business chose cheap, going for the more operationally expensive cin7 option for its lower up-front costs even with the higher duplicated effort outlined to them, they didn't understand nor listen to what that meant. Since then cin7 prices jumped by over 50%, no doubt from their design structure creating maintenance problems.

cin7 has its B2B, yet its poor pricing structure also makes its own problems for the B2B. Where cin7 will find a product, the B2B cuts off after a few (hundred) entries using the same search criteria. Its B2B design interface looks something over 20 year old, and it doesn't match what you see.

Cons: cin7 is cloud based which about the only thing that is modern. Its design is antiquated and could have come out the 1960's where they just made electronic versions of poor manual systems, making poor computer systems.

Popup help been around over 20 years, yet cin7 not yet discovered. The whole system is a flat file design that would get a tertiary student a fail for designing it. Its still 1NF or 2NF that has huge duplicated effort. Any integrated system would be an improvement. reducing duplicated effort towards none.

Take stock locations. This has been added to cin7, but not in a usable way as its been designed by someone with no understanding of inventory. Any better inventory system will see locations as just a column of data. But cin7, it basically adds 2 rows each item making things forms harder to read. Cant allocate stock to a job.

Take forms. Where a job done properly would see a standard template operating. cin7 has a different form for every iteration, making a mess for maintenance. So when cin7 fixes a form displaying incorrectly (been done), they update and overwrite the correction so it displays incorrectly again. We have had overtyping on some printed forms for like 200 of the last 210 days and they have attempted to correct this on more than a dozen tries.

Pricing, cin7 still not discovered dates, nor full currencies, having instead a limited flat file design vs more flexible normalised design.

So much potential, for poor implementation.

Overall: cin7 Reduced duplicated effort from even worse. Our worst duplication with cin7 sitting @ 6x. With prior it peaked at 9x. I see cin7 as terrible, but an huge improvement on what we were doing before. cin7 saving a year is less than what I recommended.

Problems for small businesses is the software designed by people with no systems background so they make electronic versions of prior poor manual systems. Or they modulize to the point of making a complete mess.
Accountants pushing for commissions like Xero, making recommendations to people who have no idea who to ask advice, when the accountants have no idea! If cin7/QuickBooks/Reckon/Unleashed/MYOB etc would just hire a proper systems analyst and streamline the systems for decent integration, without excessive modulization which ruins the ease of use. If they did this, business software would be over 10x better than it is today. Many of cin7 maintenance problems built on poor design. From the sidelines can see this. Eg forms that they fix, then it updates back to overtyping, this a symptom of poor design.

Take quote #, Sales #, Invoice #, together that's 3 different numbers and a mess to navigate over multiple forms. If they would just use one number through quotes/sales/invoices, that would simplify and make easier to use. Add in credits that entered as negative sales on some systems, that's 4 different numbers! Find a customer by email or phone# cant be done in cin7. Finding by phone number better than surname if have more customers, yet cin7 not done enough with named customers to have discovered this yet.

Normalise design. While I was at university they recommended that business software should aim for 5NF, unless some reason for added speed. Yet today we have laggy software that grass grows faster than. So much overhead like cin7, they 1-30 seconds lag for doing anything. They taken the speed saving of reports too far, optimising for a seldom run report, at the expense of operational speed. They need to look at what is operationally most used. They can still add a little overhead for report speeds, but do it through better design with less overhead.

Pros: That it is API compatible with most other platforms including Shopify and Amazon. wYse lifestyle also has 3 Fashion Stores, with more pop ups around the country. An EDI solution was the next positive step that I could see for growing our business as our current Inventory and POS had stated to stunt growth and profit, and now it has been the best for us in reports, tracking and growth!

Cons: That there is a lot of background work to do first before launching, especially going from an on premise inventory and pos with no API integration capability and poor quality csv files. So a lot of manual work for me but the extra foundation work is worth it for progress!

Overall: A fully functioning Electronic Data Integration (EDI) Solution that fits the business. This Inventory and POS Management System eliminates the need for manual data and stock updates on all platforms which includes website, amazon, other fashion platforms, Dispatch, 3 Stores, plus any pop ups we do around the country.

Pros: The system is all web based!!! Easy to use, user friendly. All the web sales can be easily managed.

Cons: Additional app for Cin7 to integrate with logistics had an expensive connection fee, higher than the app itself.

Comments: Switching to Trade Gecko is in the process. Trade Gecko looks like a dream.

Cons: Since writing my last review I've had the 'head of support' helping me, assuring me we'd resolve my issues. He was in touch twice pleading with me to stay on the system before I got an out off office from his email address notifying me he's away for two weeks. On top of this I've been charged extra a month for an extra user as I entered my accountant's information in the 'new user' section. Nowhere does it mention that there will be a charge to do this, and I'm pretty positive this is actually against the law. So far they've said they can't issue a refund.

I regret our decision to go with Cin7

Pros: The most positive feature I can think of is it's cloud based, unlike our previous system, so ease of access is beneficial.

Cons: Lack of support. Our onboarding specialist mysteriously quit less than one month after we went live with the system (after we had received very little assistance) and was not replaced with another contact assistant. We were told we had to pay for premium support from then on. We have been with Cin7 for less than one year now and they have increased prices by 45%.
Very disappointed overall. Obviously they're not interested in small business customers.

Overall: Ease of access with cloud based platform.

Cons: B2B is not fully customizable. Replenishment values are not available for matrix variants, for example a specific color and size shirt.

Pros: Supports Multiple locations POS is ok and user friendly PO part also works smooth. Able to allocate freight cost to POs in different currencies

Cons: We have been using Cin7 for more than 2 years and it changes only to worse. In 2017 cin7 increased price for us twice already (we are not using extra features or users, the size of the company is the same ). Support team is not able to solve very simple issues and when something does not work properly they just reply that it is supposed to be like that. I have to email them several times to get the job done. Support is also became very slow. Sometimes nobody replies at all. very frequent database errors System does have potential but unprofessional support is killing it .

Pros: Easy to use and fearures were fairly good for the price until they are now raising monthly subscription by 43%!!!!!!!!!

Cons: We moved everything over to use them anf after 9months they are raising the price ridiculously. 43% jump. We spent countless hours and money setting up and now we will loose everything as the jump will sink any business.
There is alot of issues integrating with accounting software not talking to each other and takes them days to help you fix it.
I would suggest staing away from this terrible ridiculously over priced software!!!!!

Overall: At tgis point, none whatsoever. Worked for a short period now that bugs are being sorted but they make it unaffordable now.

Pros: The willingness of CIN7 to add features that make the system more usable. When we discover features that would assist in our daily tasks CIN7 have been helpful in incorporating these new features.

Cons: The fact that it is easy to make mistakes. It would be great if there were more warnings when mistakes have impacts on the accounting.

Pros: I've used several and looked at dozens of systems in the last fifteen years, and recently switched to Cin7 for my two retail businesses - both a fusion of brick and mortar and ecommerce (using shopify platform). Cin7 is robust and well designed, and relatively easy to learn and use. Its highlight is inventory management - quite advanced, and at the same time free of unnecessary complications.

Cons: While there is a learning curve for any new software or system, Cin7 works, for me at least, refreshingly smoothly and logically. Onboarding process was efficient, and the support staff was always available to teach and answer questions.

Comments: We suggest you to wait to subscribe to this product until the company is able to deliver the full functionalities they claim they offer.

Pros: Functionalities of this product are what small companies need, if only they were working. This remains a good project on paper, and it would be great if offered for free until it is working properly to clients helping the development of a final product. Now it is working with 60-70% of the minimum required functionalities. The risks of being blocked with shipments and invoices are always there.

Cons: This is still a prototype, charged to customers as a final product, probably to finance the completion of the software development. We subscribed for a base plan and we were forced to move to premium plan. We cannot switch immediately due to the big time and money invested in setup and integration, and we will soon do it if they do not fix the issues. So far, support is not able to solve issues in real time, therefore we had and are having huge issues with customers with blocked deliveries, wrong documents (invoices and packing lists sent out). And we did not receive any refund or apology with a plan to fix issues. Having mistakes in reporting, and official documents like prices and amount of invoices is not acceptable.

Pros: CIN7 help us to manage the wholesale and eCommerce inventory effectively. It integrates with Shopify and Xero. Now all prodcuts and inventory data are centralised in CIN7.

Cons: The steps of product mapping between CIN7 and Shopify takes too much time. The process can be simplified.

Pros: The import and export functionality is excellent,EDI in future will be significant in improving our effectiveness

Cons: Have yet to find any weaknesses.
The Cin7 product has 98% of everything we are looking for.
Hopefully Cin7 can connect to MYOB in future.

Pros: Managing our 9 retail stores and warehouse is becoming very easy. This software has given us the platform and ability to scale with ease and at pace.
The Laybye System is amazing and easy to track and use. Not many systems offer this purchase option.
Seemless integration to xero and shopify make life a breeze.
We are able to monitor each sales person in real time and look at their performances over past months with 1 or 2 clicks.
The reporting is great and the Smart Buyer software has made our lives easier.
Stock management and the integrated warehousing is just awesome. We track every stock movement and know exactly where it is, down to the exact shelf at any given time.
An awesome product that keeps getting better and better.

Cons: Being in South Africa some times support takes awhile.
Small things change on updates sometimes throwing the entire system out which results in a week or two of waiting for fixes. They seem to be getting better at this.
Full integration has taken awhile but that is due to our complex business and the fact that we are learning and using every function Cin7 offers. We will never look back!

Overall: Complete business overview and control in real time.
Stock inventory, warehouse controls, automatic purchasing, sales, point of sale for our retail stores, shopify and xero integration.

Pros: What I like the most about CIN7, besides the simple layout and ability to integrate and adapt as our business expands, is the customer service and tech support. I am not a tech savvy person, but with the expert guidance and help of CIN7's heroic support staff, even I am able to use this system! To say she has been patient with me would be a great understatement.

Great software, great price, amazing customer support. What else do you need?

Cons: I have no real complaints to add here. If pressed to find something, I could say that because they are in New Zealand, there is a time delay for certain communications. Not their fault, I choose to live in Canada!

Overall: Flexible and helpful staff have been a huge benefit. It often makes the difference between success and failure in my domain.

Pros: Reasonably stable back end. Good cross section of modules, Sales, Inventory, CRM, Manufacturing, Purchasing and interface into Xero. Great Wholesale pricing flexibility. Recently interfaced into Shopify to get off their B2B platform and works well.

Cons: The product is lacking development as most of the development seems to be into interfacing into other channels. POS system is very poor. B2B site has a lot of issues.

Pros: Integration via apps. Ready made solutions have the potential to cut down on problem solving time for clients.

Cons: Some simple options aren't currently available for development. Order data exported into comprehensive spreadsheet templates to move orders lists to courier portals isn't an option. Streamlining processes can often include avoiding third party apps like StarShipIt and just exporting data into a required template to move straight to a courier portal is a source solution which isn't an option with Cin7 at the moment.

Pros: My business requires detailed inventory mgmt down to batch tracking and expiry dates. Cin7 provides this in a very simple and easy to use way. In addition the fully integrated B2B ordering site and pivot table reporting adds significant value to my business. These functions are easy to use and quick to set up. Business processes such as calculating accurate landed costings is also easier than before. Cin7 provides more value that larger ERP solutions that I have used in the past. However what exceeded my expectations was the onboarding support to help me seting the Cin7 business up to best suit my business. Thank you support team! I have no hesitation recommending Cin7.

Cons: Cin7 allows you to structure and group your products to multiple sub category levels, however the reporting function currently does not all you to report on all the subcategory levels - but I'm sure they will fix this in time.

Pros: Flexible, scalable, good amount of personalization, reports are automatically generated and displayed very clearly, the support team is friendly and attentive, support site is quite comprehensive. The support staff is just incredible that has been incredibly helpful in onboarding this product.

Pros: All products are traceable in cin 7 and CIN 7 integrates perfectly with Xero. Very east to use.

Cons: Limitations for users to customize the forms. can not do a product report or list with all serial no. counting.

Pros: I did not like anything about this software because the failed to provide a way to actually use it.

Cons: Terrible customer service and lack of on boarding resources. They only provided on boarding services during New Zealand time zones initially. We requested a freeze on our account which they agreed to provide but continued to bill us and despite multiple promises for a refund they failed to do so.

Pros: We have been using CIN7 for almost two years and I still highly recommend it. Not only has it been instrumental in managing the various aspects of our business effectively, but it is also very easy to use and for new staff to learn. Technical support is excellent - very reliable and always willing to assist us in creating solutions to meet our needs as the business has grown.

Cons: Many of our sales are made-to-order, so it would be very useful if our production team were able to highlight and flag orders, and to have pop-up reminders.

Cons: The delivery address space has to be deleted and changed for drop ship customers as

Pros: I was a bit intimidated by Cin7 at first since I'm not very proficient with software programs in general. But after an initial brief training session, Cin7 was not nearly as intimidating as I expected. It streamlines a lot of information that previously was very difficult (if not impossible) to access and opens up new possibilities for our company which broaden our scope and increase our efficiency. Having worked with an older system way past its prime, I wasn't aware of the enormous potential offered by a program like Cin7. Maybe there are others like it out there but for now we're thrilled to have chosen Cin7. It meets our needs (and more!) and we look forward to pursuing the many new opportunities it has opened up for us. Thank you Cin7!!

Cons: I haven't used Cin7 long enough to have experienced any problems with the program. I understand we need to customize some areas but that's to be expected with any new program.

Pros: Current reports are very helpful. It provides stock accuracy, margins. backorders, adjustments, etc. It is easy to search the data that you need. This program eliminates some of the tedious task in checking inventory. I am still learning the program and it's easy to navigate.

Cons: The program is slow at times. Customization is limited. I think it's still early for me to pinpoint the other cons since I just started using it.

Overall: Great cloud management tool, we can manage our stock efficiently!

Pros: Even with all the features available it is quite intuitive to use. Staff were up and running on day 1 with sales and purchase orders. As I was involved in the setup side bringing in existing contact and product lists was relatively simple with good mapping features with a unique bulk update method using cut and paste from Excel to fine tune the categories, etc. It covers all the requirements of inventory and we could customize the fulfillment stages to suit the business - in this case primarily online sales. You can viewing an order at each stage which is a major benefit, especially where non-stock products need to be ordered. In this case, there is a smart buyer feature which auto populates purchase orders based on sales requirements. There are many other features I can't comment on as it's early days yet.

Cons: Not much. Small things like drop-down options instead of free format sub group options would be useful for reporting purposes.

Overall: Vastly improved our ability to track inventory and improve purchasing strategy, sped up and reduced the numbers of errors in the order fulfillment process.

Pros: For us this software will transform how we do business and give us the ability to grow. We like the link to our magento website and the connection we can have with our shipping and we find it easy to use.

Pros: As a cloud integrator/implementor of inventory solutions, I have found that Cin7 offers the most features in the market place and exceptional value for money. It caters for wholesale distribution/multi location/consignment both from customer and suppliers and multiple sales channels including EDI, Amazon and Ecommerce. For an inventory business that is growing and focussed on making the most of every sales channel - this product is a MUST. In addition, support is second to none, the quality of the online materials is excellent including step by step videos, premium support conducts weekly troubleshooting where customers can ask anything about the product and get targeted assistance. This software vendor is in for the long haul and is committed to the best customer experience. I am delighted to have Cin7 as one of my partners and can't speak highly enough about their sales and support teams.

Overall: A full featured inventory management solution that I can offer to my SME clients in wholesale distribution and retail.

Pros: - The costings on import orders is great.
- It has a good search function although it is slow to work!
- Like the bulk update function.
- Also like the dispatch section - bulk updating dispatched items, and bulk emailing.
- 3PL Function

Cons: The software doesn't do Quantity Price Breaks as promised.

Customization is limited - as soon as you need one small thing customized you lose control of all customization. (i.e. templates) It then takes forever to get it done, going around in circles explaining what you want.

What works on POS may not work in the back end or B2B, functions differ between the platforms, can make it very confusing and frustrating.

Not very user-friendly: Takes forever to enter data, layout is clumsy, stalls and blanks out regularly, needs more links between information.

Pros: Cin7 Support is second to none which made implementation and integration a breeze. Moving away from an all in one ERP system Cin7 was an easy choice that ticked all the boxes for E-Commerce, POS, 3PL and integration with Xero.

Cons: The only minor issue was a CSV upload imported some codes as scientific data/date format. Mathew Cho from Cin7 support fixed this and was a pleasure to deal with.

Overall: Built in apps which are ever expanding made integration easy.
3PL and Xero apps were what made us choose this software.

Pros: Cin7 is used daily at our company. The cloud based ERP system is very effective in tracking our inventory through all stages of the production cycle using a simple to use Build of Materials option. The system is able to break down raw materials into base components and then build them back again into sales orders, effectively tracking each component we sell and not just a final product, saving us a great deal of time and effort in tracking down operational costs. Great Experience with Integration. Our company uses software like Quick Books and cloud based platforms such as Shopify. Both integrate seamlessly with Cin7.

Cons: While configuration is pervasive throughout the application, customization options are limited and rarely extend beyond the original design constructs.

Pros: I know the Cin7 for a couple of years. I can see guys are growing very fast and the management quite delays to the growing of the company. The company spending a lot of time to advertise the Cin7. In my opinion, the company does not spend enough time to develop the Cin7 and work with customers especially to make customization for them. The developers and support team quite late for the fast growing company. Simple things working very well, but if you want something special for your special business process Cin7 answer we can not do it. And at the same time, I receive the same answer for some simple things which should be done by default. The Cin7 developers develop firstly what more popular under the requests from customers, so this is just one way of communication. They do not ask all customers if they need something and do not share information what other customers ask from Cin7 to make for them. Because some of the customers just simply do not know what they could possibly have from Cin7 to make their business better they need to have a support from Cin7, otherwise, some companies will loosing money on something which Cin7 could possible automatise for them or show the short cut. So the priority of development not actually going the right way. Would like to see more options for users create their own interface, reports, etc. without asking Cin7 make it for them.
Cin7 can save a lot of time for the customers if Cin7 will work more to customization way.

The interface is easy to use and the functionality and compatibility it provides is second to none which makes our everyday functioning seamless.

Pros: This program is great at managing inventory, invoicing and entering purchase orders to vendors. Being able to track product in and out and batch and serial numbers is a great feature.
Emailing invoices is easy to do.

Cons: I don't like how it interacts with Xero. Also, don't like that it doesn't have the customization we need. The inability to add more than one contact without creating a separate company entry for the new contact is a big minus.

Pros: We have been with Cin7 for several years now and although the initial customisation provides ongoing challenges for us, we have experienced really good customer service recently for any day to day issues and problems we encounter. The team get back promptly, mostly with a solution and otherwise with suggestions of what we can try to help get around issues.

Cons: As our system was so heavily customised initially, and parts of the planning side remain incomplete, the system doesn't provide a complete end to end solution for our business. This means a lot of workarounds to get the information required out of the system so planning takes longer than it should. There was a heavy reliance on one programmer which is always a dangerous position to be in and hopefully this is no longer the case moving forward.

Comments: Customer service has been generally very responsive and helpful in solving problems. Most other software packages in this range barely even offer support!

Pros: The range of functionality that Cin7 offers is similar or even superior to what other platforms offer for almost twice the price. While I wouldn't call it perfect, it has definitely increased our ability to analyze our business performance and stay on top of everything on a daily basis.

Cons: As with any software system transition, there are some functionalities that you have to sacrifice to gain others. We are still adjusting somewhat to the new system, though we are definitely in a much better place than we were with our previous software package!

We need good tools to automate time consuming tasks as much as possible. Cin7 is great for us!

Comments: Cin 7 has been a challenging experience for us and it has taken many months for us to make the transition from MYOB. As a program it integrates with Xero well and is fairly easy to use apart from a few 'tricks' that are not obvious. However, we are disappointed with the difference between what was promised and what was eventually able to be delivered, mainly in terms of customisation for our business. However, while it has been a long and frustrating process, while the customer service experience lacked good communication at times an effort was made to work with us as much as possible.

Comments: We have been using Cin7 since 2013 and a lot of customisation was done in the first 2 years to suit our complex brewery processes. The initial work agreed upon has yet to be completed which leaves us wanting in terms of functionality and usefulness particularly on the planning side of things. This, combined with the inability to get further customisation undertaken, and only one developer able to undertake the programming, provides an ongoing challenge and means additional work for us to get the information we require out of the system. In terms of basic functionality and the links to Xero it works well and the support team are good at getting back to sort the little issues that arise. Improvements have been made to inform of updates and background issues and I see the weekly blogs and tutorials which I'm sure prove really useful for people using the standard system but there are still daily frustrations with us which probably relate to having such a customised system.

Overall: Cin7 has been a very functional and customisable inventory management system which we rely on extensively for the day to day operations of our business being in the FMCG industry. Cin7 support has also been great as there are many aspects to the software which are not easily identifiable however you can always speak to someone who is able to assist. Integrations in Xero have generally worked well however there have been a few teething issues with this also. The biggest drawback we find is (brief) service interruptions which always seem to occur at very importune times for our business.

Comments: I highly recommend Cin7 as an inventory management solution. The integrations with accounting and eCommerce stores are seamless and make life easier by minimising double handling of data. We use Xero and Shopify and are very happy with the interaction between the software.
We started using Cin7 as a new business and haven't looked back. Cin7 allows you to control and accurately value your stock and also has the B2B website and POS functionality.
The support team are also excellent. You are allocated an onboarding specialist who guides you through the implementation process. Ongoing support and training via webinars is also very good.
Cin7 is a value solution - don't waste time using spreadsheets or any other manual process, it is too much hassle and will cost you more time and money in the end. Get Cin7!!

Comments: Going from managing our multiple warehouses and stock that we have out on trial with Customers via multiple excel spreadsheets to CIN7 has been an eye opening experience, we have found stock around the country that we were unaware of, and instead on continuously re-ordering more stock because our main warehouse didn't have any, we can now see exactly what each Rep has on hand and can move stock to where it is needed.

Comments: Was charged if finding a stock and inventory management system, that will integrate with our Accounts systems, and will have an B2B online shop. CIN7 ticked the boxes. While at times it might seem a bit clunky, but it actual does do what it says.. It keeps track of all our stock and inventory...(we currently use a FIFO system, but will soon move to batch, CIN7 covers this) It produces our invoices, and delivery notes, we then upload these invoices into Quickbooks online, once twice a day. Hardest thing about implementing it, understanding the power of CIN7, and actually understanding our own data, gathering your own data and work flows. Would I recommend it to a my mother ...yes.

Pros: Solid product, more I want it to do, the more it does.

Cons: Does appear to be a bit cluncky something. ie...Bulk updates is performed via .csv files

Comments: After much research, we started using Cin7 in 2015. We have a somewhat complex business, with various facets - a retail space requiring POS, holding stock of a large array of products, an online store, a commercial arm of the business that sells mainly customised furniture. This requires keeping stock of standard components, issuing multiple purchase orders, and ultimately building one-off end products.
The functionality and look of Cin7 is quite good, but as we are a design business, it's important that our paperwork and systems suit the image of our business. It's been great to be able to setup custom templates for all our documentation for a consistent look.
The expanding list of integrations is promising - we currently use Shopify and Xero, and these work well for us.
What is lacking (and hopefully possible with a future plug-in), is a scheduling aspect. We deliver projects with various stages and milestones, though we cannot use Cin7 for an easy overview / status updates.
While some aspects are customisable (pivot table reporting is great), we'd like to be able to tailor the Dashboard reports.
The customer support is sometimes amazing, other times leaves something to be desired. The hierarchy of urgency on tickets doesn't seem to bear much weight! The new 'help' website is brilliant though. Look forward to this being expanded further.
Essentially, it's a neat inventory system and POS, that can be customised to a degree.

Comments: We have used the software for a few years now and during that time the Cin7 organisation continues to innovate and develop new initiatives to make the user experience more functional and purposeful. While our business doesn't need the full suite, it is easy enough to use and integrate the relevant areas to suit our needs. The best part is the customer support in my experience. Comments: We have been using Cin7 for almost 2 years. It was great when we started and just keeps getting better and better. Almost every month there are small incremental updates and improvements made that add new features and improve existing ones.
We integrate with our website, our courier company and accounting software. It all just works.
Import and export features are particularly strong. You can pretty much export and import anything as required.
Whilst the UI is clean and uncluttered it does display a lot of information. It is very usable on a 32" monitor, but so not much on a 24".
Built in POS is a nice touch. Most other packages would require a 3rd party module for this.
I can't wait to see what this software looks like in another 2 years. By then it will probably make the coffee as well !!!

Cons: You need to be careful when keying in a customer or supplier name, sometimes if you don't pick the correct one, it creates a new customer.

Overall: As a new user to CIN7, it has been a major change to our business to finally have a system that can provide our business with proper cost of goods sold for products. CIN7 is such an easy and flexible system and not only does it allows us to properly track our inventory at different branches, it¿s strong reporting mechanism helps our business not only track inventory but we can also report and forecast on our projected sales.

Coming from a previous system where inventory was tracked manually, the time wasted tracking inventory and looking for batches has now instead given us that extra time to work and improve our business.

I am looking forward to learning more of its features and functionalities as I use the system more.

I have worked with new Cin7 customer implementations as well as existing Cin7 users and the system can deliver a cost effective premium inventory service connecting multiple Retail/Wholesale sales channels and manage information in real time.

The support team are highly knowledgeable and helpful and the development team are always working towards improving functionality.

Pros: The stock and inventory management feature, B2B, and integration with QBO.

Cons: Can feel a bit "clunky" at times.

Overall: Was told to find a stock and inventory management system, that integrated with QBO, and have a B2B for under $5k per annum....
Looked at Trade Gecko, Dear, Shopify etc. none of these ticked our particular boxes.

We went from tracking stock on Excel (200+ items) and regular customers (300+) to CIN7 and QBO. The more I use CIN7 the more I realize it is truly built as a stock and inventory management system.

We have room to expand into it as our business grows, and will soon be taking it nationally (6 warehouses)

The hardest thing is getting all you stock/suppliers/customers etc. into the format CIN7 requires (basic .csv file).

I just wish CIN7 had their own support locally to help with integration.

Where would we be without Cin7?

Pros: Easy to use. There is a section for everything

Cons: Takes a bit of set up and getting used to. You must have a good grasp of excel to use it comfortably

Overall: We came from using MYOB which had very little help and was very rigid in its structure. We often had to find work arounds to fit in with the system (rather than the system working in with us)

Discovering Cin7 has been a game changer because not only does it work with us according to our preferences but it also does a lot more than meets the eye.

We purchased Cin7 for its Inventory and warehouse capabilities but we have since discovered other features that have become essential to our business (POS, Stocktake, Forcasting etc)

Comments: We looked at several different systems (Dear, Stitch, etc.) before selecting Cin7, now over a year ago. Our business has a lot of nuances (we sell in multiple channels and require several integrations), and many other systems were unable to accommodate our needs. Cin7 offers a far more customizable system than any of the others we tried, and while there was a steep learning curve during the on-boarding process, we are very happy with where we are today. A large part of this is the outstanding customer service - even via email, the Cin7 team is always responsive and very proactive. We've worked with them to come up with several "work arounds" to accomplish our desired goals within the confines of their existing system, and on the (rare) occasions this was not possible, we were able to pay a small fee for Cin7 to build out a custom solution. It seems that Cin7 is constantly improving and offering new features, so we're excited for what's to come!

Pros: The good things are the Web-based, integration, BOM, being able to add freight costs to stock at any time.

Cons: Setting up customer discounts, backorders, location fields of products, no decent text field on invoice, Limited to 3 overseas currencies

Overall: This is a good product, it has easy to use features, but small things make it confusing when you're starting out. Setting up customer discounts, backorders, location fields of products, are some of the annoying things, all things that could be made a lot simpler.
The good things are the Web-based, inter grat integration, BOM, being able to add freight costs to stock at any time. Still learning the product I am sure I will learn more as we go. Maybe a review in another 6 months will have more stars.

Comments: Cin7 is an excellent tool which forms a great engine to run your business. Despite its complications in implementing it helps a business to connect all the aspects of the new digital ecosystem.
It seamlessly connects EDI, eCommerce platforms and accounting packages to a strong business oriented Inventory system.

Pros: Converting quotes into sales orders and being able to upload images onto invoices. We had to re-write quotes and submit images separately when doing custom ordering which was time-consuming and confusing. Cin7 also allows us to submit custom orders directly to our workshop by clicking on a drop-down menu.

Cons: The majority of our clientele are designers and we have to refund taxes from time to time or refund a specific amount e.g. extra discount with Cin7 you can only refund a line item.

Overall: Cin7 has been extremely efficient by its ability to create varies invoices and track inventory. We currently have a total of 5 furniture retail stores and a workshop, all stores create quotes, invoices, and work orders on a daily basis.
The majority of our business is custom work and we were looking for a system with the capability to store a lot of information (detailed work).
There are multiple perks to this system but I have to say two of my favorites are converting quotes into sales orders and being able to upload images onto invoices.

Recommendations to other buyers: Overall this is a great program and I highly recommend you at least check it out. Our store managers are very satisfied with Cin7.

Comments: Our company has been using Cin7 for 4 years for apparel & accessories distribution + retail (12 stores). We have been the test case for 3PL, POS, Shopify, Xero, JOOR & EDI integrations with major department stores. I recommend Cin7 because of its flexibility and all-in-one offering which can accommodate rapid growth if required. Cin7 is constantly looking at new integrations for customers and always evolving to cater to our needs in the apparel industry which is great. Great value especially if you plan on using multiple modules (pos, EDI, online etc.).

Pros: All-in-one offering Multiple integrations Forward-thinking developers Sell to major retailers & department stores using EDI Access from anywhere Sell through multiple channels Can facilitate large-scale growth Easy to set up retail stores Constant improvement (the cons listed below will most likely be fixed in the near future)

Cons: Stock control issues requiring frequent maintenance (possible bug but could also be a 3PL issue). Aesthetic could be improved (especially reporting). Some modules over complicated & could be simplified for new users. B2B in particular freight could be improved with a better integration for example Shipstation (by calculating & pulling rates prior to checkout) to avoid double handling the B2B sale.

Comments: A great software with many features. It sets itself apart from other software because of its ability to provide a point of sale, inventory management, and a wholesale capability. Add all those up and you are really getting value for money.

Pros: Great and in-depth reports, Very quick and functional, Easy to use, Can have customization built into it to suit your business.

Cons: It can lag or go down. This seldom happens in fact, it's stopped happening recently so for the last 3 months I can't say it went down even once. I think it was due to the increase in fees which in return yielded a better working system.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend this for anyone that sell bulk goods like us and is looking for more in-depth reports
