### "The most practical scraping platform for freelance automation and lead generation"

April 26, 2026

5.0

Apify has become the backbone of my lead generation workflow as a freelance automation specialist. It reduced my lead research time by around 80 percent and allows me to deliver fully enriched, CRM-ready prospect lists to clients the same day I receive a brief. The integration with n8n makes it a perfect fit for end-to-end automated pipelines. Despite the pricing concerns on large jobs, it remains the most practical and time-efficient scraping platform I have used.

Pros

The prebuilt Actor library is the biggest strength. I can scrape Google Maps, LinkedIn, and dozens of other platforms within minutes using ready-made Actors without writing any custom scraping code. The API and webhook integration with n8n is seamless and reliable — scraped data flows automatically into my automation pipelines the moment a job completes. The scheduling feature is rock solid and keeps lead databases fresh without any manual intervention.

Cons

Compute unit pricing can escalate quickly on high-volume scraping jobs, which makes it necessary to factor Apify costs into every client project quote. Some prebuilt Actors break silently when target websites update their layout, and the error logs during failed runs are too technical and vague to debug quickly without deep platform knowledge.

### "Highly recommend!"

May 11, 2026

5.0

Apify has been a game-changer for my business. It’s made collecting and automating data so much easier, saving me hours of manual work. The platform is reliable, flexible, and super powerful once you start using it. Highly recommend it to anyone looking to streamline their workflows and scale more efficiently.

Pros

1\. Powerful web scraping at scale Apify makes it easy to extract data from websites—even complex or dynamic ones. Whether you're pulling leads, product data, or social media insights, it handles large-scale scraping reliably. 2. Automation that saves serious time You can automate repetitive workflows (like data collection, monitoring, or updates), which frees up hours in your week and keeps your business running more efficiently in the background. 3. Flexible + developer-friendly ecosystem With ready-made “Actors” and the option to build custom ones, Apify works for both beginners and advanced users. It integrates well with other tools, making it easy to plug into your existing systems and scale as you grow.

Cons

1\. Steeper learning curve for non-technical users While Apify is incredibly powerful, getting started—especially with custom Actors or more advanced workflows—can feel overwhelming if you’re not technical. The UI and documentation could be simplified or paired with more beginner-friendly, step-by-step onboarding paths. 2. Debugging and error visibility When something breaks (which can happen often with scraping due to site changes), it’s not always immediately clear why. More intuitive error messages, visual debugging tools, or guided troubleshooting would make a big difference—especially for users running multiple automations. 3. Pricing clarity and predictability Costs can scale quickly depending on usage (compute units, proxies, etc.), and it’s not always obvious upfront how much a task will cost. A clearer pricing estimator or real-time cost tracking during runs would help users stay in control of their budget.

### "Apify Became the Backbone of Our Automation Stack"

May 14, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Apify has been very positive. It significantly simplifies web scraping and automation by handling infrastructure concerns like scaling, proxies, scheduling, and reliability out of the box. It has helped us move faster, reduce maintenance overhead, and run more stable data pipelines in production. While there are a few areas that could be improved, especially around large-scale workflow management and advanced analytics, the platform overall delivers strong value and has become a key part of our data automation stack.

Pros

The thing I like most about Apify is how much it simplifies the entire web scraping lifecycle. It removes the need to manage infrastructure like proxies, scaling, scheduling, and reliability, which makes it much faster to build and run production-grade scrapers. It’s also very developer-friendly - creating, deploying, and iterating on actors is straightforward, and the platform is stable enough to trust for ongoing data pipelines. Overall, it just makes web automation significantly less painful and much more scalable.

Cons

The dashboard can become a bit cluttered when managing many actors and runs at scale. Some advanced monitoring and analytics features could also be more detailed, especially for debugging large production workflows.

### "Best scraping infra we've used. Period"

May 9, 2026

5.0

Apify has been one of the highest-leverage tools in our stack. We came in needing a scraping layer for our agent pipeline and didn't want to spend weeks building proxies, schedulers, and storage from scratch. Within a day, we had pre-built actors pulling structured listings off freelance boards into a clean dataset, wired into our pipeline via the REST API. Eight months in, it's still the layer doing the heaviest lifting — quietly, reliably, and for a fraction of what a dedicated scraping engineer or self-hosted stack would cost. The platform is mature in the ways that matter: schedules, run history, dataset storage, and observability all come out of the box. The API is clean enough that wiring it into a Claude-based agent took an afternoon, not a sprint. The Actor Store covers most common targets, and when something isn't there, the SDK and CLI make custom actors realistic. The friction points are real but bounded — plan caps bite on spiky workloads, Actor Store quality is inconsistent, and the local dev loop could be tighter. None of those have been dealbreakers, and the tradeoffs are honest for what you get. For a small team building scraping into a product rather than running one-off pulls, Apify is the right foundation.

Pros

Apify's strongest card is how fast it gets you from "we need scraping" to scraping running in production. The pre-built Actor Store covers most common targets out of the box — we had Scout pulling structured listings off freelance boards within an hour of signing up. Beyond that, it's a proper infrastructure platform, not just a scraper: schedules, datasets, key-value stores, proxies, and a clean REST API all sit behind the same account, so wiring it into an agent pipeline is straightforward. The compute-unit pricing scales predictably for mixed workloads, and the observability — run history, dataset views, logs per run — means you can debug a broken scrape without rebuilding your own monitoring stack. For a small team, it does the work of an entire scraping engineer.

Cons

The plan caps are punishing for spiky workloads. Once you hit the monthly compute limit, everything stops dead — no soft overage, no pay-as-you-go top-up that doesn't push you up a whole tier. Actor Store quality is also wildly inconsistent: pre-built actors are a strength when they work, but there's no clear signal of which ones are actively maintained vs abandoned, and we've had selectors silently break mid-pipeline. The local dev story is the third weak spot — iterating on actor inputs or debugging a failing run usually means pushing up and waiting for a cloud run, instead of a clean "run this locally with the same environment as cloud" mode. None of these are dealbreakers, but they're the friction points worth knowing about going in.

### "Reliable web data backbone for automation and lead mining"

December 12, 2025

5.0

Overall my experience with Apify has been very positive. It has replaced a lot of fragile scripts and manual data collection, and now most of our lead and market data flows in automatically on a schedule. Once an actor is stable, it becomes a reusable building block we can drop into new automations and services for clients.

Pros

Apify gives me a reliable web data backbone without running my own scraping infra. Actors handle proxies, captchas, and scheduling, and I just work with clean JSON. It is flexible enough for custom use cases but still easy to plug into tools like Make, CRMs, and databases.

Cons

There is a learning curve for non-technical users, especially around actors, datasets, and mapping results. When you manage many actors, the UI can feel a bit crowded, and I would like stronger built-in dashboards and alerting. None of these are deal breakers, but they are areas that could improve.

### "Apify is a great tool"

July 10, 2025

5.0

Apify is a cloud platform for web scraping, data extraction, and browser automation. Whether you're technical or not, you can use it to automate repetitive web tasks and extract structured data from any website.

Pros

1\. Powerful Web Scraping Without the Pain You can run prebuilt actors or create custom ones. Works well for dynamic sites (like JavaScript-heavy pages) using Puppeteer or Playwright. Great for non-devs with its ready-made scrapers (e.g. Amazon, LinkedIn, Airbnb). 2. Scalable and Cloud-Based Everything runs in the cloud — no need for your own servers or VMs. Scheduled runs, data storage, and integrations via API or

Cons

Pricing Can Spiral While the free tier is generous, larger scrapes (especially with headless browsers like Playwright) eat up compute units fast. If you don’t monitor usage, your bill can spike quickly — especially with repeated or complex scrapes. 🚧 Fragile Prebuilt Actors Some marketplace actors break when target websites change structure (which happens often).

### "Game-changer for AI automation and web data workflows"

May 11, 2026

5.0

From a reliability standpoint, Apify has been solid for both small experiments and production workloads, and it scales cleanly as data volumes grow. Scheduling, logging, and proxy management are all handled in one place, so we can focus on logic and outcomes instead of infrastructure and anti-blocking plumbing. Their documentation and examples are clear, and when we've needed help, support and community resources have been responsive and genuinely useful. Overall, Apify has become a foundational piece of our AI and automation stack, and I actively recommend it to clients who need robust, scalable web data and browser automation.

Pros

I've been using Apify as a core part of my AI automation flows for my own business and multiple client projects, and it's become one of the very few tools I recommend without hesitation. The platform makes it straightforward to turn almost any website into an API and plug that data directly into LLMs, CRMs, and marketing stacks, which has saved us countless hours of manual work. What I like most is the combination of ready-made Actors and the flexibility to build custom ones when we need something more advanced. The marketplace of pre-built scrapers and automations means we can prototype fast, then harden solutions with our own code when the use case proves itself.

Cons

Some of the more advanced use cases still require developer time to set up and maintain, so it's not completely no-code for complex workflows.

### "Incredible ROI and automation for both B2B and NGOs"

May 9, 2026

5.0

The value for money is fantastic, especially considering you don't need to pay for external proxy providers or AWS servers to run your code. Also, their customer support is top-tier; they are actually human, responsive, and incredibly supportive of non-profit initiatives.

Pros

Apify abstracted away all the headaches of web scraping for me. I use it heavily for USE.NGO to aggregate European job postings. The user interface is intuitive, making it easy to configure runs, monitor usage, and set up webhooks. What really stands out is their approach to data management and security. I can confidently run authenticated scrapers knowing the environment is secure, and the data comes out in perfectly clean JSON or CSV formats ready for our database. As a Demand Gen professional, I also use it to scrape B2B data for lead generation campaigns. The productivity improvement is night and day—you set it, forget it, and let the data flow.

Cons

You have to keep an eye on your compute usage. If you write or configure an inefficient scraper, it can chew through your credits faster than expected.

### "Powerful platform for building and selling scrapers at scale"

March 30, 2026

5.0

Overall, my experience with Apify has been very positive. We use it to build, deploy, manage, and sell scrapers, so it directly supports both our technical workflow and business goals. It helps with reliable information collection, reduces manual work, and makes it easier to launch scraper products faster. From a value-for-money perspective, it has been worthwhile because it saves time and helps create revenue-generating tools. I have not needed much customer support, but the platform itself has been strong enough that I would still rate the overall experience highly.

Pros

What I like most about Apify is that it makes scraper deployment and management much more practical. It is strong for information collection, structured inputs and outputs, scheduling, and turning scrapers into products you can actually offer to users. The interface is solid overall, and once you know your way around it, it feels ahead of the curve for this kind of platform. It also offers good value for money if you are using it seriously for building and commercializing scrapers.

Cons

What I like least is that there is still a learning curve, especially when packaging scrapers cleanly for the platform and handling debugging when something breaks. Some bugs or runtime issues can take time to trace, and the platform can feel a bit technical for newer users. I would also like even clearer cost visibility and simpler troubleshooting in some areas.

### "Amazing experience with Apify"

April 14, 2026

5.0

I have had an amazing experience using Apify for my data projects. It is hands down the most reliable platform I have found for web scraping and automation. The pre built actors save me so much time and the cloud infrastructure is rock solid. I was able to get my first task running in minutes without any major hiccups. Its definitely a game changer for anyone who needs clean data at scale. Highly recomend it to anyone looking to automate their manual workflows!

Pros

It had been an amazing experience using Apify. Nothing had been any easier to scrape information before. The credits are also generously deducted and the base tier would mostly fulfill all your daily requirements. It is super easy to set up and there is a huge library of scrapers created by many individuals that you can simply use. Highly recommended.

Cons

The only real downside for me is that the pricing tiers can jump up a bit fast if you start scaling many actors at once. Also some of the more niche scrapers have a slight learning curve if you aren't familiar with their documentation but honestly their support team is so quick to help that it hardly matters in the end.

### "The best platform for turning web scraping into a scalable business"

March 27, 2026

5.0

Pros

Deploy once, run forever. Apify handles proxies, scaling, storage, and scheduling so I can focus on extraction logic instead of DevOps. The pay-per-result Store model turned my scrapers into products. The TypeScript SDK is clean, the API is consistent across all resources, and the recent MCP server support makes it trivial to connect scrapers to LLM agents. Webhooks and integrations work reliably for production workflows.

Cons

Build failures on the platform often produce unhelpful error messages, making remote debugging a cycle of push-and-pray. The Store ranking algorithm is a black box — there's no clear feedback loop for improving discoverability. Cost estimation for new actors is difficult before you've done real test runs. The web IDE is too basic for serious development, and the dashboard gets slow when you're managing dozens of actors.

Pros

At our organization, Apify plays a vital role in automating large-scale data collection and process workflows. We use it primarily to extract structured data from websites, marketplaces, and social platforms — data that fuels our AI automation systems, voice agents, and lead generation workflows. Apify allows us to create scalable web scrapers and integrations without worrying about infrastructure management or IP rotation, which saves significant time and resources. One of the core business problems Apify helps us solve is the need for reliable, real-time data to power AI-driven decision-making. For example, we use Apify to gather business listings, customer reviews, and contact data that feed into our automation pipelines through tools like Make.com and n8n. This enables our AI agents to perform tasks such as lead qualification, competitor analysis, and market research autonomously. The scope of our use case spans across industries — from e-commerce and real estate to digital marketing and AI customer support. ### "APIFY really good for the price"

September 30, 2025

5.0

Overall, my experience with Apify has been really positive. It's been reliable and straightforward to use, which I appreciate. The quality you get for the price is honestly better than I expected. I've tried other similar tools before, and Apify just feels more consistent.

Pros

Honestly, I've been really happy with Paify. The pricing is super reasonable and the lead quality is actually solid - which is rare to find together. I was skeptical at first, but the leads I've gotten have been genuinely good quality. For what you pay, it's a great deal. If you're on the fence about trying it, I'd say go for it. It's been worth it for me so far

Cons

I've been using Apify for a while now and honestly, it's been great. The price point is really fair for what you're getting, and the quality of the data/leads is consistently good. I was comparing a few options and Apify just made the most sense - reliable results without breaking the bank

My experience with Apify has been very positive. It removes the heavy lifting from automation by handling scaling, scheduling, and infrastructure behind the scenes. I use it for recurring data workflows and it has been reliable, easy to manage, and quick to deploy. Overall, it’s a solid platform that has saved me a lot of time.

Pros

Apify makes automation straightforward. The platform handles scheduling, scaling, and storage, so I can focus entirely on building workflows. The UI is clean, the documentation is solid, and everything runs reliably once deployed. For data extraction and recurring tasks, it saves a huge amount of time.

Cons

### "A Unified Scraping Layer for Operators Without Engineers"

May 9, 2026

5.0

Apify is one of the few tools in my stack where the monthly cost is a clear order of magnitude below the value delivered. For a small business operator, that's the definition of strong ROI.

Pros

MCP integration — Calling actors directly from Claude via the Apify MCP server removes the need to manage API keys, polling logic, or dataset retrieval manually. The actor-as-tool abstraction works cleanly for ad-hoc research tasks.

Cons

Apify MCP server has been genuinely useful in my daily workflow, particularly for scraping and automation tasks. That said, I've hit a few unexpected issues worth flagging — most notably, the server occasionally breaks without sending any notification or status update, so I only find out when something downstream fails or returns empty results. Adding proactive failure alerts, or even a basic health-check endpoint, would meaningfully improve reliability and reduce debugging time on my end.

August 27, 2025

5.0

The platform's extensive collection of "actors" has given us the flexibility to find solutions for almost any data-related task, and the responsive support from the actor authors has been a huge help. The impact on our business has been incredible. ### "From zero to clean data in hours, not weeks"

April 16, 2026

5.0

Pros

The pre-built Actor marketplace means we can go from "we need leads in a new vertical" to a clean, usable list within hours rather than days. No scraper development, no proxy setup, no maintenance overhead. The SDK and API integrate cleanly into our Python automation pipelines. Triggering Actors programmatically, polling for results, and pulling structured data all work predictably, which is essential when scraping is one step in a larger workflow.

Cons

Estimating the cost of a new Actor run before executing it is largely guesswork. A dry-run mode or clearer upfront cost forecasting would save a lot of trial and error. Some community-built Actors are excellent, but others are abandoned or silently broken. Better visibility into maintenance status, success rates, and recent issues would help avoid wasted runs.

### "Leads, Leads and more freaking leads"

March 18, 2026

5.0

My overall experience has been excellent. Apify has allowed me to scale data collection for my agency without worrying about maintaining a private proxy infrastructure. It is the most professional-grade scraping platform available.

Pros

Apify is an absolute powerhouse for web scraping and automation. What I like most is the sheer breadth of the Store; having access to pre-built Actors for Google Maps, Instagram, and LinkedIn saves me dozens of hours of custom development. The SDK is well-documented, making it easy to build custom scrapers when needed. The serverless infrastructure is robust, handling proxy management and browser scaling seamlessly. It’s a reliable backbone for anyone building data-driven products or AI-automation workflows.

Cons

The learning curve can be steep for non-developers. While the pre-built Actors are great, customizing them often requires a solid understanding of JavaScript or Python. Additionally, the pricing model can be a bit opaque for high-volume tasks. If you aren't careful with your Actor settings, you can burn through your compute units faster than expected. I’d love to see more granular alerts for budget management.

5.0

Overall, my experience with Apify has been positive. It saves a ton of manual effort by letting me automate data collection workflows from sites like LinkedIn and TikTok. The platform is easy to use once you get familiar with the actor system, and the integrations make scaling up projects much more efficient. It's particularly valuable for research and lead generation tasks.

Pros

The best part about Apify is the massive library of ready-made actors, which makes it easy to find a solution for any web scraping or automation need. The actor store concept is intuitive. I can set up complex workflows without heavy coding. The platform is reliable, and integrations with tools like n8n and Apollo scrape let me build full automation pipelines efficiently.

Cons

Sometimes the returned data includes too many irrelevant metadata fields, so you have to spend time cleaning up results. For some advanced sites, creating custom actors still requires technical knowledge, and pricing can be a bit expensive for high-frequency jobs.
