Pros I would only choose this software for my virtual mailbox. Cons Cancelling and the various month to month charge to my account that normally doesn't stay the same but stays in the same range. Reason for choosing Earth Class Mail I like the virtual option and it specifically serves businesses. One day I will want them to deposit my checks for me. Review Source JB John B. Cons The user interface feels ten years old. Services are priced at a premium and while the product is very good it falls slightly short of the price point. A more user-friendly app and the website would bring the pricing into line with my expectations. CEO Hospital & Health Care Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Check Theft" April 19, 2025 1.0 The most logical point of theft of a check is the mail receiving /forwarding employees but EC never explained what what their process is, if they use vendors, who those vendors were or any other material information in connection with this criminal report I had to file at the Atlanta PD. If your use-case for a virtual office is to get an mailing address, EC would be ok but there are much cheaper vendors that do the same thing. If you need to receive customer checks (my businesses' customers are enterprise-level companies that do not pay vendors by ACH), then do not use this service. Pros Ease of obtaining a physical mailing address for business purposes but that's about it. Cons Complete refusal to assist and provide information when alledgedly an affiliate (presumably in their mail receiving/forwarding division) stole a $18250 check payable to my business. Pros Earth Class Mail is a great solution for receiving mail with no physical offices and the ability to see scans, assign recipients, and receive physical mail (if needed) have been pros along the way. CEO Computer Software Used the software for: 2+ years ### "Great solution to manage the mess of mail (paper) that a small business creates " April 27, 2017 4.0 We use ECM extensively to manage the mail that we get running several small consulting and software resale companies. Before ECM getting all of the right paperwork to the right place was a pain. After moving online can now manage our mail from wherever we are. Unlike 'virtual office' packages that we've looked at ECM is focused on one thing: mail. They do a pretty darn good job of it too. No worrying about missing letters, you get simple controls to delete the junk mail and fast scanning on the important stuff. Even when we've had problems customer support is great. We've learned some limitations (don't get a laptop shipped to your ECM address if you need them to forward it on via next day shipment, lithium ion shipping rules apply to them as well) but even when we ran into them it was easy to get ahold of support and they did the best they could to sort the problem quickly and efficiently. Good people, great product. Best solution out there for small companies looking to unburden themselves of paper mail. Pros It is easy to use and has lots of control. Build mail routing rules, scanning rules, setup check deposit, etc. Cons The platform is a little older, not as many modern design elements, but it gets the job done and the functionality is great, and on some level I don't need every site I use to look like Facebook. Pros 80% of the time they're pretty good about quickly scanning things. Cons Run by the scum of the earth. The most predatory operators i've ever seen and I've used a lot of software. They have built numerous dark patterns into the product to make it difficult to see what you will be charged for and they've doubled pricing in the last year. Cons Pretty much cant be easier. They do all the work for you, Scan, and if you sign up , they can even deposit checks to your banking account if needed. Every single customer service issue is handled in the worst possible way, they question anything you do, and they are the absolute masters of surprise billing. Avoid, avoid avoid! Pros It's tough to think of anything; it was just very poor all around. Cons Customer service was the most incompetent I've experienced across 30 years of business purchasing. You tell them you want to cancel, complete the official cancellation request and then they charge you anyway. When you request a refund based on the emailed cancellation conversation, they decline and instead forward you a screenshot of an email from 15 days earlier where we signed up for the service. Perhaps they don't understand time moves forward in a linear direction? I understand I signed up at one point, I then cancelled (because who wants to wait 2-3 weeks to find out they have mail?) Anyway, save yourself the trouble and stress and find another mail forwarding company. Pros I like how it's all digital and they have a nice interface. Besides that, nothing. Cons You have to wait 2-3 weeks for your mail. They charge you after cancelling. Customer service will argue with you. They do not understand the space Review Source MB Makedah B. Pros I love the online Notary they provided so that the paperwork was able to be submitted in a timely manner. I know the Notary was a third party service, but it was cool how we were able to get all the paperwork completed online. I love their Register Agent product as well.. Cons I have to think hard about the cons.. Can't think of anything at the moment. Okay, I thought of something, I didn't see their phone number on the site. The support staff is very user friendly and quick to respond. The software itself is very easy to use and navigate. Pros Earth Class Mail has been a lifesaver during this pandemic. Without it the company would have lost critical mail and time in responding to necessary correspondence. Since the work from home status has been put into place, we would not be able to function without Earth Class Mail Cons Not applicable at this time. They forward my favorite products that I can't get overseas and handle the occasional check deposit. Thanks ECM for turning problematic into 'simplematic' for this expat! Pros User friendly menu guided "step by step" system. Cons No longer allows me to deposit funds to my ECM account without customer service assistance. Pros The fact that I don't have to handle mail. I can be out of the country for 6 months and still see all my mail. Every piece of mail I open is automatically scanned and digitally archived. I think snail mail is one of the most inefficient things on earth, so I'm glad that ECM exists to help me streamline that part of my life. Cons About the software - sometimes it's a little slow to load, especially if I'm scrolling way way back through my mail. I wish there wasn't such a delay in the time it takes to get my mail (I use the Las Vegas PO box and I understand that once it is received there, it's shipped up to Oregon for sorting). Sometimes giving out my address is difficult. Some automated web forms don't have room or won't accept that "PMB 61891" part of the address. I wish there was a Nevada street address. I have seen ECM change over the past few years, and I am glad to see the pricing match the service level. There is no substitute for performance. Cons I have access to multiple accounts for various clients as well as myself. It really helped with managing our mail that comes in physically. It takes away the need of going through the mail ourselves Cons It becomes a hassle when we have physical packages or checks that gets delivered to our virtual mailbox by accident. The cost can pile up very quick, so we always have to be careful of sending physical packages to our virtual mail address. They charge a fee to send each piece of mail to you. Getting onboarded with the software was a very challenging as it was very complicated and confusing.
