While the software was overall fine (had a few setbacks and inefficiencies), I reached out to their customer support team over 3 weeks ago via their chat, email and calling and no one has gotten back to me. I work in a customer-service industry and know how important it is to take care of your customers. With so many software options out there, what sets companies apart is their customer service, which was shockingly disappointing from Textedly.

### "Good, not great, Solid for Mass Texts"

Pros

It was relatively easy to use and loved that you could send a test text to yourself. We used it for sending out important news articles as soon as they were published during the peaks of Covid to keep people informed. Worked well for instant communication.

Cons

It didn't have a ton of features for the monthly price. There are also not any mobile apps - always required you to login on a desktop.

The reason I chose Textedly is because I was looking for an affordable option to communicate with my followers while being on a very small budget. Textedly is exactly what I need without a ton of bells and whistles. I love the service and my customer engagement has increased greatly!

Pros

I like that the software is very easy to use and that I can see my results immediately when a message is delivered.

Cons

I don't like that there isn't a separate mobile app that I can use with the software. Even though you can use it through your browser, it's not the same.

Enabled us to give out quick and important alerts and updates to our volunteers and even include images.

Pros

It was easy to use and feature rich as well as reliable. Customer service was responsive and very helpful. We had no issues and loved the service. Loved the ability to schedule messages and they went out within seconds.

Cons

The only thing we would have liked is the ability to import csv contacts ourselves. However, textedly will do this for your for free! Just send them your file and in a short time they will import all your contacts included with your plan. Their staff is quick and very helpful and for those that are not great at spreadsheets, it is likely safer to have them do it anyways. We are csv junkies so we would have felt capable of doing any imports ourselves. So this is likely not a critical issue for most other businesses nor was it for us. Just a personal preference.

With Textedly, I'm able to login, setup a text message distribution literally within five minutes. It's amazing how easy Textedly is to learn and executive. Great product!

Pros

Besides the fact that Textedly is an awesome tool, the one thing that I like most about Textedly is that I get to keep my unused text messages. Some months we're heavy users than the next month may not be as busy. The rollover text messages helps our organization in times when we are using more messages. I absolutely love the idea of sending photos and URL's with the text message. Sometimes the photo will grab a person's attention before the actual text. Overall, Textedly is an awesome product for the price. It may not be as fancy as some its competitors but Textedly gets RESULTS! And, that's what matters to use the most.

Cons

I would like to have more KEYWORDS. Perhaps, Textedly could offer a subscription for KEYWORDS. For example, purchase 10 keywords for X number of dollars. Although the option to purchase keywords is already available, I think having a option with a subscription fee would be an improvement.

This is the best mass texting service I have ever seen. The feature of setting communication on my time is the best feature. I can effortlessly build my customer base. And the other things is, there is no limitation about signing up, how many people I like. If anyone sign up, textedly automatically track zip code, state etc. that's why I can know how is performing my campaign. That's why I am like this software..

Cons

Subscriber data is more complicated. This software is not so user friendly. Company's support system needed some improve.

I was searching for texting platform that would allow my client to message their list. I read (some of) the documentation and chatted with support and it seemed like it was a viable option. They were offering bonus credits and before the deadline I opted in for the annual subscription. Took a few weeks to get started but within an hour of set-up and a couple of chat sessions, I was told I could NOT give contacts an option to select message categories. It was something I had to manage on my end. With 15K in our Constant Contact list, this was not viable. So, I requested a refund of the remaining 11 months (I was willing to forfeit the first month at the monthly rate). They said NO. After some "why not" questions, the CHAT rep charged $26 on my card (without my permission) so she could switch the account to monthly and then cancel the annual subscription. They credited me the annual less about $50. When I asked for a refund of the $26 I was pretty bluntly told that they did me the courtesy of the first refund and another refund was "not going to happen". I sent an email the next day outlining the above and was surprised to receive a refund within 5 minutes. Huh... So the software didn't do what I needed (that's OK, I found another solution) but the customer service experience really turned me off. Since I got the refund I requested in the first place, the bad experience came from all the interactions afterwards.

Pros

On the surface, it seems liked a viable option. Integration with Constant Contact.

Cons

Inability for a customer to self-segment (select the topics they wished to receive messages about)

Reason for choosing Textedly

Didn't research (or test) enough before purchase.

Marketing is never an easy thing to contend with. With Textedly I can give our prospects that one last chance to commit without being intrusive. we have had great results thus far and are pleased with the Textedly service team.

Pros

They are continuing to grow there features on a regular bases. the price is more than right and the value is beyond wonderful.

Cons

So far it has been hard to find one. We critique our services hard, Textedly has met and exceeded all of our needs and want with there service.

Communication with clients has become much easier.

Pros

Ease of use, data it keeps, 90% of the time messages go quick.

Cons

Systems go down 1 -2 times per month for a few hours, causes delays in messages. The frequency of this seems to be going down. Has issues with my browser ( Crome) I have figured work arounds. Overall I recommend the product

Great!

Pros

I love the idea of mass group texting to your customers and the way how easy you can text scheduling. It's pretty innovative and it's good to use it in mobile-centered marketing era when digital advertising is getting so crowded. A good way to remind your customers about the update in the software or app they use. Analytics are also very robust!

Cons

Not much, I really like it. If they won't get too expensive I keep using it.

Nothing There is absolutely nothing good about using this companies platform. Stay away

Cons

Company has the worst customer service. I have tried to cancel on multiple occasions but they NEVER get back with the customer. I have tried to cancel but since my account was on an annual contract, could not do it through the website. Spoke with multiple people over chat since their phone service is terrible, and been told that "someone" will reach out to you regarding this issue. I hardly receive replies on the chat site on the web page, and they ignore your requests. Do not use this service unless you want some major stress in your life. Terrible company.

Very happy with the web-based UI. It's just so easy and satisfying to use. One of the surprising things is that Textedly is for everybody. There are so many applications you can use it for besides marketing your business. For example, if your hosting an event and you want an easy way to keep people up to date with event details/happenings then use Textedly - you will love it.

Pros

I didn't feel overwhelmed being completely new to SMS-based marketing. The web-based UI is easy to use and the pricing iss low-cost compared to my own competitor research. You will notice that most people gravitate towards Textedly because they offer the same and more features than similar marketing apps.

Cons

I really wish that they had a iOS app available for iPhone and iPad users. I can asssume this is something to be available soon though.

I can honestly say that I did a TON of research before signing up with Textedly. Textedly again, and again, and again got a ton or great reviews. After signing up for Textedly I have found that all the great reviews I have read before me are true! They are easy to use. The interface is SUPER easy to navigate. I did have to contact customer service once about a question. They were so kind, and easy to work with. The price is spot on AND conversion rate is insanely good! My unsubscribe rate is ONLY %1.8 ! If you are thinking about signing up for texted messaging service look no further! Textedly is it!

Pros

What I LOVE best about textedly is how easy it is to use. It is effortless !

Cons

I can honestly say that I have found very little that I dis-like about textedly. However, if there was one thing I would say I would like to be able to have a few more keywords included instead of having to buy more after 2.

Ease of use, ease of read, ease of navigation throughout, and TIME to get the job done! We love it!

Pros

Time management! We can't say enough about how valuable our time is as well as everyone's! Textedly helps each of our customer service professionals get factual information to all our customers quickly without interrupting their other daily duties. It also limits the intrusion of our updates to our customer's busy schedule. A quick text, and you're back to business!

Cons

With our current needs and volumes, Textedly can handle most all jobs. There may be a few applications that can expand the capabilities of what we may do each day. Only at the level of subscription we have we do not have that functionality. It may be an addition we have not looked at this possibility in detail.

Increased ability to communicate more effectively with my leaders, teams, and members. Great tool for getting information out efficiently, quickly, and people don't feel spammed.

Pros

I love that I can schedule a group text message to be sent out ahead of time. It is super helpful administratively for me to accomplish this task earlier in the week whereas with other free texting services you have to hit the send button exactly when you want it sent - the send later option is amazing and worth every penny! Super affordable as well too.

Cons

Uploading the contacts can be a little difficult at times - chimp mail is a little bit more interactive and helpful to upload contacts/emails whereas Textedly format of their CSV doc needs to be exact or will reject uploading contacts; however, once you have it formatted properly it works amazingly!

And I found it. Textedly is a super useful software that is affordable to businesses of any size. I really love that we can have complete control of our text software. It's pretty incredible.

Cons

Honestly, I have little to say that is negative. They seem to have thought about everything. Not sure how new they are, but they have really hit the ground running.

STAY AWAY.......I set up a account with them , then they removed my ability to access my account again due to a credit card issue. I told them I give you another credit card but they never responded back. So they took my money and all the 200 messages I sent. Rude.

Pros

Simple interface. Clear display of primary data. Return of incoming text messages allows query of end users for voting, and/or data collection. I'm using the service to target multiple groups of current members in our American Legion Post. In the post, we have Regular, Auxiliary, Riders and Sons that are involved in unique/different aspects of service to the community. Additionally we have a large group of regular Bingo attendees. Outreach to these members let's keeps them informed of updates in a simple to manage method.

Cons

Restrictive filtering needs work to allow finer detail of targeted subscribers. System allows filtering for simple text only, no 'or', 'and' or 'not' statements.

Pros

Textedly offers one of the cheapest (if not the cheapest) mass texting with shortcode plans online. For a small church group with just 200-300 members, it was not worth spending upwards of 75 dollars monthly to send them weekly notifications. But with Textedly, the price was almost 80 percent less! Best of all, the user interface is so smooth, I am able to send mass texts from whereever from my phone. The support group always gets back to me as soon as possible as well and is very helpful if I have any questions!

Cons

There are no cons compared to other mass text messaging platforms. The one thing I can say is that they don't offer just a standalone service where you can buy credits one time and just use them. You have to subscribe to a monthly plan no matter what.

Textedly allows me to send mass text messages for meeting reminders and other information. I LOVE that incoming text messages are free so they can text me back for one on one communication. The calendar makes it easy to schedule a text message for a future date in case I forget. Love Textedly!

Pros

Textedly is a useful marketing tool that is easy to use and it has nice interface. It allows companies to contact their potential buyers by text with promotions and other offers.

Cons

At the moment I´m using the 14 days trial. I haven´t found any problem up to today, but I will update if that ever changes.

We use textedly to text the expired listings in our market. It gives us a second option on reaching prospective clients. We are also looking into sending text with video links to our current clients and prospect. The next step is to use as a way to connect with our farms.

Pros

Easy to use. Easy to upload csv file. The interface is perfect. The affordability is great. I love having the templates and having the ability to send at a later date.

Cons

I wish it had campaigns that we can set up so when we enter a lead there would be a series of pre-determined text that would go out without having to set each one. But really not an issue.
