Does what you need on the base level. Helpful for businesses but complex funnels are a little trickier.

Pros

Extremely easy to set up. Campaigns are easy to do and in compliance with SMS regulations. Bulk messaging, scheduling texts, auto responders and keyword opt ins are super easy.

Cons

Pricing gets way more expensive as your contact list grows. The analytics are basic and don't give very good insights.

My most recent experience has been terrible. Customer service has not answered my questions or provided me sufficient alternatives. They do not listen to me as a customer nor want to help solve my issues.

Pros

When I initially started using Textedly, it served my purpose. I can schedule text messages and receive messages back. This is what I was looking for.

Cons

I have used Textedly for several years. But recently, their commitment to customers and customer service has dramatically declined. They made recent updates to their platform and dramatically increased prices without contacting existing customers. The price of my existing plan increased a significant amount. I have requested that the messages I have purchased be made available to my business and they will not release them until a certain date. When I contacted customer support and ask for resolution, the staff do not answer my questions or offer alternative solutions. I have requested that my account be closed and a refund of the 11 months that I have not used. They will not work with me and only offer that I pay for a higher priced plan or purchase additional messages at a very, very high rate. Please do not use this company. They are no longer considering the needs of customers that have been with them for several years.

Quite good. They were very helpful early on. Since then, it's been an easy platform to use.

Pros

The customer support was great during my research. They promptly answered my questions, even anticipating future considerations.

Cons

There's really not much I don't like. I suppose the layout of the platform itself could be a little better, but that's just personal preference.

Good price for messages, but not good service for companies who sending SMS to new monthly, fresh and updated lists of customers.

Pros

I like the price for the service and i\`m impressed with a delivery rate. Good job!

Cons

\-Problem is you need to pay for keywords that you are not going to use in the next month. For example: I have a fresh list of customers every month and i need to create new keywords with new lists attached to them, but.....as per Textedly advise if "i remove a subscriber from a keyword, there is no way to resubscribe them on your end, even if you create a new keyword" and "We do not recommend deleting your keyword as it will delete all of your message data. It is best to keep your data in the event you are involved in a Telephone Consumer Protection Act (TCPA) legal matter. Penalties are $500 to $1,500 for each text message violation that you sent". So, why customer needs to pay for keywords he will never use in the future?. -Another difficulty for me was a lack of simplicity of platform usage and i need to communicate with a customer service and wait for the answer in order to solve technical issues or receive answers on my questions which i couldn\`t find in QA section of Textedly.

### "Regret Using"

Pros

The interface looks good. It's fairly easy to use.

Cons

I signed up for an Annual plan, but I did not realize text messages do not roll over to the next month. So it's use it or lose it. I thought that I'd just build up more messages for when I need them. I only need to send out text messages a few times a year, so it's not a good value for me. I wish that important point was made more clear before I switched from Mozeo. I was just looking at the cost per text, and for Textedly it was really low. Also, I don't appreciate that you can't change a Keyword. Once you use a Keyword, you have to keep it active (even if you aren't using it) and buy additional Keywords from Textedly. So now I have a plan that I'm over paying for, and I have to spend more money for additional keywords. There is also a $6 a month fee that goes to the FCC. Didn't know about that. There is no support phone to call. You have to message them. They may see your message right away, but maybe not. When you are in the middle of a task and you can't do something, like delete a Keyword, or change your company name, it really sucks to have to message them and stop what you're doing and just wait.

Pros

You get alot of text messages in each bundle. It is a cost effective solution for a small organization like ours.

Cons

Horrible customer service. Not only did we have a problem with double billing. It is virtually impossible to cancel the service. You can never talk to anyone you are limited to the chat or email only for support. There have been instances when none of my text messages reached my subscribers for unknown reasons or there were significant delays in scheduled texts. My new service is far superior and even offers an app. While it cost a little more. The trade-off is excellent customer support.

Pros

I've used other text messaging services in the past and Textedly is by far the best. The pricing is excellent and the features of the tool is effective for my needs. I highly recommend Textedly to any small or big business looking to communicate with customers.

First they offer 14 days free trial which is a plus. You can personalize messages in a very easy way. Overall, the platform is very easy to navigate.

Pros

Easy scheduling of text messages. You can include photos and links and also personalize the messages you are trying to send.

Cons

In my opinion, there's only one drawback: some simple actions on the platform require multiple steps when they could be streamlined into a single click.

I'm looking to switch. Textedly may look pretty but the customer service is slow, I've waited days for replies, missed more text message deadlines than I wished to have ever happen and it can be very glitchy. I'd love to find another product. I dread using this tool in order to find there's another problem someone can't help me solve until days later.

Pros

It's decently easy to use some of the time.

Cons

When it's not easy to use, the support is LACKING. Taking days or hours to get back and not much help at times. For example: Last Friday, I went to send out a text, 144 characters using one text message, glitched and wouldn't let me send. Finally I cut my list in half hoping it would help. It sent, but it said it used two text messages ($200+ worth). I even personally received the message as one text message. It's been 3 days, it's now 3pm on Monday, I'm hoping one day someone will help me. The only person to write back said I should have used incognito and it was my fault... Other examples: You buy a "keyword" and in order to stop paying for that keyword you need to manually unsubscribe every single person on that list. Other nuances: If someone is subscribed to more than one keyword and you want to send a message, it will send the person the same text twice, the system can't identify if there's one person on two lists. Other problems: You send a photo and it looks fine in preview or test, and it will send the size of the tiniest thumbnail to your subscribers. Another: Sometimes the text system goes down.

Pros

I have used this service since the end of january, it was difficult at first, but eventually I got the hang of it. I was getting some guidence by someone named \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]at first she was nice then she got more and more impatient and rude. I asked if I could work with someone else but I kept getting her replying to my emails. I get the impression that this is a fly by night company, I have known a lot over the years as I am always trying a way to communicate better with my customers. A bunch of contacts were unsubscribed and after a couple days of waiting for IT, \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]writers back, "Unfortunately IT has no record of any issues with this account, nor the subscribers being unsubscribed." yet, here I am and I know these 26 people who work for me, they did not unsubscribe.

Cons

Textedly refuses to do anything to help. Its very suspicious. My guess is that there are about 2-4 people that work for this company and they use a answering service who knows nothing about the company nor can they give me any names. I feel they are hiding and misrepresenting themselves. I would do more research before signing up and avoid "\[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]" she seems vindictive and has a huge attitude.

We're still trying to decide if there's enough value with this vendor to counter the issues with importing/exporting subscribers. We're currently with another SMS vendor that has more features (many that we don't use). We're looking for pricing in the range offered by Textedly, but the import/export functions are so basic and so critical to what we do.

Pros

Pricing is quite good. The administrative back-end is intuitive, and the set-up steps are easy to follow. Good match for smaller businesses setting up this type of service for the first time.

Cons

Unable to export subscribers. The current workaround suggested by Textedly is to copy and paste out of the admin listing of subscribers. Not a good solution. Importing/exporting is a basic function with any database-driven service. Unpleasantly surprised that this function is absent. Importing a current subscriber list is a bit unusual. You send your Excel file via email with your keyword as the subject line. Would prefer to handle everything in the admin back-end. Also can't import subscriber join dates, even though that field does exist in the Textedly database. The Textedly suggested workaround is to put the join dates in a different field, such as the email field. Another area that needs attention. In short, I like Textedly for the pricing and general ease of use. But if your business has an existing subscriber base, and you're looking for a new vendor, beware of a few significant issues with importing/exporting. One can hope that Textedly takes note and promptly addresses these issues.

One aspect of Textedly that I truly love is how it caters to small businesses by providing an affordable solution for marketing. Additionally, their customer service is exceptional. The team is incredibly friendly and always willing to offer helpful assistance.

Cons

We understand the importance of maintaining a positive relationship with our customers and want to ensure that our messaging is never perceived as intrusive or bothersome. In order to achieve this, it would be beneficial if Textedly provided us with a feature that analyzes customer response data, allowing us to adjust our approach as needed and ultimately strengthen our communication with our audience.

We are currently texting hundreds of people weekly with announcements/sign-ups to keep them involved and informed. It's a great tool.

Pros

It's the best, cheapest, easiest way to mass text large groups of people, and it's set at SUCH a great price! I did some hunting around and this is the best product I've found. Save yourself some googling and just go with this one. Super easy for people to subscribe and unsubscribe

Cons

There's no cons! It's really great. I guess I'd like if it was cheaper but it's already really cheap so I don't want to press my luck. Also, the interface could be a little more user-friendly, but it's not too bad.

relaying operational changes and situational awareness in emergencies primary communication vehicle for early closures, relaying pertinent info on road closures to transport and field staff. All of these functions are easily accomplished in 2 minutes or less. This is a vital tool in our safety and emergency preparedness and management toolbox. Look forward to utilizing additional functions offered, but not yet explored in the software. We have 10 sites in 2 states and this tool allows the customization for each site.

Pros

Ease of use, reporting functions, useful for normal operations as well as emergency operational change information stream notification, ability to craft and store common communication templates, easy navigation using the dashboard even for first time users.

Cons

doesn't make coffee but I guess I can live with that

We used this platform to send a series of incentives and promotions to our current customer base over the holidays. The service worked very well for us, and I can definitely see us doing a similar campaign with them during the next holiday season.

Pros

The interface is easy to navigate, and setting up scheduled messages was simple (they included helpful instructions). The price is also great for the service. It may not offer quite as many features as some of the competitors, but for a simplified version of a bulk messaging service, it's a better value (especially when, like me, you don't use many of the additional features offered by other comparable options. For smaller businesses, this is an exceptional choice.

Cons

It would be nice if it were easier to filter, perhaps some more customization options there would be nice. Aside from that, there's not really anything I can complain about. The one time I had to contact support, the wait time seemed a bit lengthy, but I don't know if that's a regular occurrence or not.

### "Simple and Easy"

This service has been incredibly easy to use. If you need to go to more characters and send two texts that works pretty easy. If you don't have enough messages in your bank, it is easy to purchase the additional ones needed to send those all out. Overall, this is just a basic system that is easy to use. You don't get a lot of customization, but for small companies like us with only a few thousand texts going out each month, it is a perfect fit.

Pros

The set-up was really easy. Once we signed up, we used the online chat for help. They walked us through what we needed, sent us the forms, and then it was super easy to implement. Each time we send out more texts, we can see previous campaigns and even re-send as we choose. Notifications when people text us come to our email so we don't have to log in constantly and check. Very user friendly.

Cons

Unfortunately you cannot send campaigns to only NEW people who sign up. So if you have a campaign this week and send it out and hope more people sign up, you either individually have to text them, or wait until your next campaign. You can't just grab those people all in one swoop. Opt in is easy for the member, but if they opt out in error, and text you that...you can't use this system to opt them back in or contact them. You have to use something else (email, call, etc) and inform them to sign up again.

Cons

It would help if you can have more keywords for the same monthly rate. We need to track different groups on our list and it will help if it is possible to use different keywords without paying extra. You will attract more clients with this flexibility. All the rest works great! Thank you!

Overall we never deployed it because of the difficulties getting it to work with our POS and CRM. Multiple apps are needed to make it function and then some data doesn't transfer over.

hard to integrate must use other apps for POS and CRM Customer service is non existent Auto renewal without notice or notification Not worth the expense

The text service is very easy to use and the customer support is quick and responsive. I was trying to send links and it was functioning properly. They were quick to make it right and looked into alternative solutions.

Cons

You may not be able to send a url link. The mobile carriers block it. Which isn’t textedly fault.

### "Good Texting Program, but Not Efficient "

Pros

I like that I can schedule out my texts for the whole month, choosing the times and days with ease. It's an affordable solution for SMS Marketing.

Cons

My biggest complaint with Textedly is how long it takes to schedule. There are only 100 numbers per page and you can only choose one page as a time. So if I am sending 500 texts at noon today, I have to go to page one, choose ALL on that page, go to page two, choose ALL, etc... until I have my five pages/500 texts. BUT, if I want to send the same text to another 500 people at 2pm (so we're spacing texts and not overloading phones/websites) I have to go through pages 1 -5 first to get to the next set. When we have 10k+ texts, that can take a long time to schedule -- and it does.

Pros

Interface - it is easy to use for anyone regardless of technical skill. Contact management - it is very easy to upload a CSV file of your customer list or manually enter in a new contact. Searching for a specific contact or keyword tied to that contact is also easy. Ability to schedule texts - this alone is great because I can schedule campaigns ahead of time when a promo goes live and I don't have to worry about setting it up the day-of. Individual and mass texting abilities - our customers love that now we can send individual texts that their order has been shipped and alerts them. Also the ease of use in sending a mass text is the real use of this and having both capabilities really makes this product shine. Price - great value for the product. Texting services are a dime-a-dozen these days and I have used a few but Textedly is the best all around for value of what you get!

Cons

Not a major con, but would like the ability to send messages to specific people or keywords using a filter from the new message page. It already can be done by going to the Subscribers page, performing a filtered search and then sending message from there. It's not a major con and is nit picking since that is only one extra step but that's about the only con I can think of using Textedly.
