Technology Specialist Education Management Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Excellent asset tracking" May 17, 2022 5.0 We primarily use AsseTiger to deploy and track computer equipment. This eliminated the cumbersome process of filling hardcopy forms and filing. It's faster and easier electronically, and the staff can receive an email indicating the equipment that was checked out. Pros We use AsseTiger primarily to assign and track computer equipment. It's very easy to use in this respect. Check in/check out process is easy, and eliminates the cumbersome hardcopy forms that we previously used. Highly recommended for this function. Eventually, we'll have all the equipment in the database, including old equipment, although some fields will be blank, such as purchase price or vendor. Cons I honestly can't think of anything that I don't like about the product. It's very easy to set up and use. Unfortunately, as a one-man shop, I don't have the time to use all the functions available, so I can't really tell how well everything works. Review Source LL Lucy L. The ability to use a mobile device to do inventory, has saved days every year. One concern we have is that we starting using AssetTiger for free and we will have to begin paying. Your ads online are a bit deceiving. We are concerned about having enough money to pay for this. Pros The ease of use, being able to scan barcodes and input a bit about the device to start. The ease of completing a school wide inventory. Prior to using asset tiger we just used spreadsheets and it took forever to complete an inventory. Cons One of the aspects of the product that could be easier to use, is when I send a device out for maintenance. It is difficult to find the correct location to set this up. Cons Many people who I work with don't excel in english, therefore they have to use google translate pages to use it. It would be great for the setup to have a spanish version. We were able to easily upload our current inventory using the templates. This made it easy to transition from our old software to AssetTiger. Love the product and ease of use. Pros I like the ease of use. The mobile app makes it easy to track inventory and check in / out equipment. Also love the mobile app for doing audits. Cons When you delete a piece of inventory there is no way to track what has been deleted and by whom. It would be beneficial to have some audit trail to show this. It also makes it very easy to identify devices and their owners with a simple scan of the barcode. Pros After much research on asset tracking products, I went with Asset Tiger for its customization options and very affordable price. Cons I wish I could customize the format that reports are exported to make them easier to sort and filter through. Nag emails, reminders and reports are automated. Pros This is an very well designed asset database tool with an intuitive user interface. It's smartphone app is also rock solid and works way better than dragging around a barcode scanner. We started with the free version and grew into the paid version (cost covered by tag purchases). Asset tiger is light years ahead and far lower cost than the paid platform we had been using. This is the solution we had been looking for and it continues to improve with new features and capabilities. Cons Lacks Multi-factor authentication (MFA) feature for account security. Does not include a feature for tracking issued consumables. Cons Fields aren't customizable, reports aren't intuitive, hard to find the history of a device, doesn't integrate with MS365 SSO. It's hard to update multiple systems. We use this for laptop tracking-it would be nice to have a ticketing (help desk) software integrated with the check in/check out process. Currently we use Spiceworks and Asset Tiger and the company that does out laptop repairs to track devices changing hands. Would be nice to have an all-in-one system or at least combine help desk and inventory. Spiceworks offers it, but the asset tracking is not very detailed. Pros Cost is low compared to competition. The entire software is not intuitive or user friendly and I was under the improession it was. Cons Customer support is very bad. No phone numbers or chats, just an email. There is no clarity on how to use the software and what its capable of. Nobody shows us demo or gives training. We had to figure it out ourself. The paid plans are very confusing, instead of 1 year subscription, they have some "points" that get debited. God knows how that thing works. So again, no clarity for customers here. It has the general structure and design that I expect of a good asset management (which I hadn't yet seen in other asset management systems). Pros I've been doing asset management off and on for 20 years, and AssetTiger is more robust than every other asset management system that I've used so far. Cons • Table views don't allow display of all records on a single page (which would make my AssetTiger usage much easier). • The Sites, Persons/Employees and Customers table views have glitches which I've reported but haven't yet been resolved. Additionally we are using the maintenance record feature. Pros The price is great, especially when you are purchasing the tags from them. The software is fairly basic and simple to use. Meets our needs at the moment. Cons The search field desires a lot. It's fairly clunky to use. Integrations with other products, such as Google and JAMF, would be very nice! It started off with <200 assets just for my team of 4 and has now stretched out to 40+ users with almost 3000 assets. I also received an internal award nomination from another team lead for introducing the software into the company due to how much it has improved how his team is able to operate. That's a pretty good endorsement Pros The customisations is key. It's almost limitless to what you can add and do as an asset tracking software and it has changed the way we work for the better. Also, the categories function is exceptional for being able to allow users to only view the categories of equipment that apply to them. Sending an email to the person when the asset was checked in. Cons 1) Viewing your assets with the "view all" option. Scrolling and show more. Multiple pages into your assets. You click on an asset, to view it's details. You click back, to return to the list. It should return to where you clicked to view. Not go all the way to the beginning of your asset list. 2) Not being able to check out an asset to an individual not in the database. 3) (internal issue) The access of multiple individuals to the program. This one has a rich feature set, and is very flexible and easy to customize. It has very good searchability and reporting features. I use the reservation feature extensively. It's a very intuitive program. Pros The ability to customize the asset fields to suit my needs. You can create categories and use various forms of input.. like dropdowns etc. You can also customize the order in which the fields are displayed on the forms. Cons This one is tough.. there's not really anything that stands out. At one point, I thought I wanted an on-prem version, but I don't think that's important to me anymore. APIs to integrate with would be handy.. I've look but haven't found them yet. Pros Asset Tiger provided me with a way to label, scan, and track inventory. It also has features like Grant/Year that allows school systems to pull inventory reports based on Grants. Cons I would like to see a feature that would alert you to end of life devices. The software was pretty easy to use and really helped me as there was no electronic tracking done when I came on board at current job. August 6, 2020 5.0 This reduced our inventory program costs by $8K annually, allows all departments to use the same info to make corporate decisions, and has made me look like a hero in front of my boss! Pros The pricing structure is phenomenal, the freedom for unlimited user access, the ease of use, and the intuitive design of the program makes it really simple. The reports are also very helpful, including the pre-built reports. I just breezed through a financial audit using Asset Tiger's export to excel reports. Cons A consumable inventory component would be very helpful. Cons Prezzo secondo me troppo alto per qualche problema tra cui: difficoltà nella barra di ricerca per trovare qualcosa e anche per i report personalizzati dove a volte va in blocco. Pros What I like most about this software is how easy I can find who has what. If there is a device I need to find I can easily do so with the QR code asset sticker. I can also track when warranty's are going to expire. Cons The UI on the app could use some improvements. I feel like they tried to put too much in a small place. The ability to type an account/location to find it rather than scrolling through a long list. The pricing under their subscriptions can be a little confusing as well.
