Pros: Ease of use.
Great support
the overall layout is very logical
Flexible style and use options with a lot of ability to customise to each need in our organisation
We find the programme very simple to apply to different situations and that gives us options to cover our varying cuisine options. Oerll that makes the software very user oriented and user friendly. this is a great thing about the product in general
We have been using the software or some time now and have seen it continually grow and imprve

Cons: I would like one further level of depth for items varieties that would give us an opportunity to do more work with DEALS and with complex orders like piza ariety oriented orders wepocess
the system s flexible enough to use work arounds to achieve this but an extra facility for this would be nice. the customisation recommendations seem not to be effective so far for us as we asked for a couple of things but they don't seem to go anywhere, Ultimately we forget what it was we asked for as we end up taking a compromised workaround to cope ultimately.

Overall: ran our business better

There is no Arab support
I hope the presence of a support group to serve the Arabic language interpreter Google is not always good

We will try to provide Arabic support. But we also have many resellers in Arabic countries. They may provide local support.

Pros: Data collection and tight controls of over the counter sales.

Cons: Not viewable from other computers or via the Internet

Overall: I have just purchased an existing business that was using a very old version of the program.

Being a former CPA I was able to download all the historical data into excel and obtain remarkable insight into my business.

I have made now made strategic changes in how we operate the business and have upgraded to the latest version.

I will know be using the day to day functionality to efficiently serve our customers and maintain a tight control on the cash in our bar.

The staff also love using the system.

Pros: very user friendly

Cons: It takes a little while to learn how to get around

Overall: My experience with abacre restaurant point of sale is that: ease to use, reports are easy to understand, stable, GREATE CUSTOMER SERVICE!!! Always courteous, so helpful available to their clients.
overall a really, really good software. I find it quite easy to navigate. It has so many great features and after using it for years, I can't think of any that I would add. It has everything that I need.
I will recommended it to many restaurants and will continue to!

Comments: I tried several different software options for my gastro pub, they all seemed to be written by people that have never worked in the catering industry. Simple things like splitting bills or moving orders from one table to another were not available. I have now used Abacre for 6 years, and will probably not change for anything else. The only drawback is that it operates only on Windows, which is a shame as most tablets work on Android (I believe they are working on an Android system) . It's easy to move the programme from an old computer to a new one, even I did it with help from their excellent help Dept, I could not get a thermal printer to work and they configured my computer from their end to get it working. The initial outlay is very good value, they offer regular upgrades normally free, but every 2 years or so you have to pay a discounted price for full upgrades, but they normally offer special deals so it's fairly cheap $40 or so. It's easy to change prices and to programme which is the beauty of working on a normal computer and not paying for a really expensive ordering system that you have to take a course on how to programme it. My system works with one main computer and 2 smaller touch screens in different in different rooms, these are linked via home group and it's easy to add more

Pros: Very easy to use and very eatable almost never have a problem.

Cons: Sometimes requests take a bit longer than normal

Overall: Constant updates and Roman listens to our requests! Very easy to use, won't find a a better software for the price, highly recomend.

Pros: Easy to use, affordable, perfect for my business

Cons: Actually I don't use all the functions the program offer, but I never get crash, never loss data, my partner can use the pos, so, it deserve to be used

Overall: I'm the owner of a mediun bar, pizzeria and restaurant, I start with a free pos but is not affordable, after I bought the first licence from Abacre and I increased with 2 more.
Affordable, easy to use, resonable price per licence and very good support, I really reccomend

Pros: Easy to use, flexible reports

Overall: We've been using the Abacre system for over 10 years. We had some special needs which they implemented into the product within a couple of weeks of our request. Over the years, the software has grown into an amazingly useful product. We have 7 lounges, 3 restaurants and 2 hotels, and the product works great for all of them.

Recommendations to other buyers: My only wish is that we could more easily have a central database and a little more flexibility in assigning access to different modes.

Cons: Support is only provided by email

Overall: Abacre Restaurant POS has many features that allows us to provide our customers with great customer service. In addition to food, we have sell gifts. Employees are able to sell both food and gift items on the same ticket. Additional features are added with product updates. The program is easy to install and update. We have used this software for several years with virtually no issues. The only down side is that support is only provided by email.
