Pros

  • The easy training language supports volunteers who are just wanting to make their clubs better. I would very strongly recommend Uplifter for use by other organizations.

  • I love this program, and as I mentioned the customer service is amazing, and there is lots to learn from all their information available online.

  • It has streamlined our registration process, communications is easier, ability to have a website is nice. Lots of reports that are helpful.

  • Good help articles and very responsive support team. We have had many fewer email requests seeking assistance from our club members during registration than we did with our previous software.

Cons

  • I preferred when I was able to do a live chat. Waiting for email returns can be a pain.

  • It is clumsy, not intuitive, over complicated, difficult to extract data.

  • I can't batch invoice a group for a product or subscription, which is a pain when I need to invoice 80 people for a fundraising item, outside of a program.

  • We have also had problems with policies and not allowing parents to register due to the policies and so I had to take those off.

"Gymnastics Facility"

Overall: We would prefer a phone number to be able to connect with someone when we need instant help on urgent times. We are grateful for the quick email responses however. Uplifter is our first choice to use for our Gymnastics facility.

Pros: It is very helpful that Uplifter connects to the Gymnastics Ontario insurance database. This saves us a lot of time

Cons: We run classes with monthly payments and the system is not idea for this in a few ways. First, we cant withdraw someone for a future date, it happens at the time of action. Also, upon invoicing it is very confusing when someone joins late.

Overall: Overall experience is good. Has many learning videos which help and help desk is quick to respond should issues arise.

Pros: The convenience, options for recreational classes, website option, email communication, payments. Help desk is always quick to respond.

Cons: Limited website options, cannot schedule emails or send text msg (ie. cancelled classes).

"Uplifter is worth every penny!"

Overall: Once I learned how to navigate the system it has saved me so much time! I like how I can easily adapt/edit any registration needs, member info, and have it updated instantly. For our small but mighty non-profit organization it is important to us to have affordable solutions to help with our mission and working with Uplifter certainly provides us with that. The support and help I have received over the past few years not only learning how to navigate Uplifter but also as other questions arise at any time far exceeds any other support team I have ever worked with! I would recommend to anyone looking for a place to handle your organization or clubs members/profiles/registrations/learners whatever it is you offer!

Pros: The real time work is done for me! Quick edits or changes are reflected immediately! Love how we can connect the live uplifter calendar to our other sites.

Cons: We don't use it in the typical way it was intended for, as a non-profit organization offering free programs we do not charge or collect any fees but instead collect information we use for reporting. There are a few details that make it tricky when collecting from our participants and how they register but overall it works for us way more efficiently than our previous way of collecting information and registrations manually.

"Uplifter Review - 10/2024"

Overall: Overall, we have had a good experience so far.

Pros: Uplifter has great customer service. Creating programs is very easy to do.

Cons: Calendar is not easy to differentiate. Cannot cancel a single session.

"Uplifter Evaluation 2024"

Overall: I am always confident that I will receive excellent service and adequate responses to my questions.

Pros: Quick response time from cutomer service and are usually able to satisfy our needs.

Cons: French translations are not always up to date

"Highly Recommend"

Overall: From our initial setup, to designing our website they are extremely easy to work with and helpful.

Pros: The support team is fantastic. They are very helpful and flexible in setting up meeting times.

Cons: Some of the videos are outdated and the help sections can be hard to follow at times

"Appreciative of the experience"

Overall: We have been customer for more than 5 years and the development of the platform evolves with experience and our needs. Overall very satisfied.

Pros: Payment on line. No more cash!!!! All the info on members in one place

Cons: Not being able to sell assigned places to shows.

"Uplifter Rocks!!"

Overall: AMAZING!!! The support staff are always available. Response is quick. Training and explanations are always easy to understand.

Pros: Uplifter is very user friendly and the on line support staff are amazing. The support staff are always able to assist, willing to do ZOOM calls where I can share the screen, and very helpful with setting up programs, policies and discounts. The easy training language supports volunteers who are just wanting to make their clubs better. I would very strongly recommend Uplifter for use by other organizations.

Cons: I really have nothing that I dislike about Uplifter.

"Overall positive experiance."

Overall: overall good. I preferred when I was able to do a live chat. Waiting for email returns can be a pain.

Pros: Overall a decent program. Our board and coaches sometimes comment that they hate it and find it confussing... maybe just because they havent take the time to really look through it..

Cons: For the volunteer option we would like to be able to link it to specific programs. As some of our programs do not require volunteering. So we have to create a special NO VOLUNTEER option for ppl to choose as it will force them to choose something. Then the people registering get all flustered and worry about what it is they need to volunteer for. I would also prefer to see the policies pop up in the create a program page. Allowing me to simply click the policy to apply it, rather then having to search for the programs under the policy page. Sometimes its hard to remember all the programs and their names, and I always feel like im forgetting one.. Its just way harder to search it all for each policy. Id rather see a check of button for the policy.

"Customer Service Makes the Difference"

Overall: Overall, Uplifter has been a great experience! It was extremely overwhelming at first, but the support and customer service easily guides you through the initial set. That same customer service is available as you get comfortable with Uplifter and want to experience more of the amazing features available.

Pros: I love the prompt replies when I send an email request for help. The explanations are clear and they always follow up to ensure we have accomplished our club's needs.

Cons: The upgrades that change things from one season to another. It's great to be up to date but its a slight learning curve as we set up a new season.

"Classes program"

Overall: Had a terrible experience at first due to misquoting but I love the actual programming.

Pros: Class organization, future classes are able to be programmed into the system. The countdown to registration for next term.

Cons: Check in and out cannot be added to the program. We can get people to check in but if they forget we can’t add it in. It would even be great to have a time shift schedule added so we can send coaches their hours. We have also had problems with policies and not allowing parents to register due to the policies and so I had to take those off.

"Bedford Skating Club review"

Overall: I talk about Uplifter all the time. The customer service is incredible and quick and the updates always make sense and help things run smoother. I use the program every day and am so thankful for how easy it is and the support the team gives.

Pros: Ease of use, customer service & frequent updates, including ones based on customer feedback

Cons: Nothing I dislike but a few helpful additions would be: - Be able to pre-write emails and set their deliver date - Be able to write notes next to skaters in the program file (similar to how we can see their group and age) - Update the report card page to reflect the updated CanSkate skills

"Great for Registrations! "

Overall: Overall, I like it. We moved over from Jack Rabbit, and at first, I hated Uplifter, but it has grown on me, and improved, over the years.

Pros: It is realitely easy to learn. I live that i can copy and batch update the seasons and programs. The reports are good, and I like that I can save my most used ones. I like being able to add my policies to the invoices. I love the wait list option, it makes life so easy when spaces open up. We use priority registrations, and the registration codes, which has been amazing for us. The registration process is easy on the admin end.

Cons: I can't batch invoice a group for a product or subscription, which is a pain when I need to invoice 80 people for a fundraising item, outside of a program. I can't adjust quantities of products on invoices, I have to either make the products to reflect multiple items, or add it to the invoice 5 or 6 times, which is inefficient. The Ayden settlement reports do not offer an account name, just the invoice number, so I have to look up each invoice to identify which account to allocate the funds to in my book keeping program; I really don't like this new reporting. We still get complaints from parents that their end is confusing and hard to navigate, but I do feel like those parents are not always computer savvy.

Reasons for Switching to Uplifter: Gymnastics BC started using it. Jack Rabbit was also a US company and we had US credit card processing, so it was expensive.

"Definitely Recommend"

Overall: The Uplifter system is great to work with and the Support team is second to none.

Pros: The registration system is fairly easy to work with overall and the Support team is very fast and attentive

Cons: Some changes (like the new transfer to Ayden) have been challenging to navigate.

Reasons for Switching to Uplifter: I cannot remember the previous system name but have worked with Jackrabbit system for another organization. We switched in 2015/2016 because Uplifter integrated with Skate Canada's system and seemed significantly easier to run for our sport.

"Uplifter-Customer Service Second to None"

Overall: We are in our second year and are pleased. We suggest things that we think are helpful and appreciate the feedback on those suggestions

Pros: The tech support is amazing. If we have issues they are very quick to assist

Cons: Cannot add things to classes (music, videos) very time consuming to add to individual students

Reasons for Choosing Uplifter: Cost was the main reason. We are a non-profit with limited funds. It is imperative that we keeps our operating costs low so we can offer affordable classes.

"Great platform, hopefully will continue being polished into excelence"

Overall: A huge leap forward from what we were using before and very much appreciated

Pros: Automation, customization of many features, along with the relative simplicity of the customer journey. In terms of organizing our summer camp classes and easily creating attendance sheets, I couldn't be happier

Cons: Some aspects (like repeat billing) aren't 100% on how they work and are limited in their customization, requiring more manual work to make it work the way we intend it to

"Uplifter Review"

Overall: It is great. We are happy. The customer service is second to none. The website meets our needs on every level. The fees are reasonable. They care about their customers.

Pros: The customer service. And how they are working to always improve their product.

Cons: It just has some small things like when I upload the participants and their achievements for a class list, it also brings the people off the waitlist who are not currently registered. I wish we could send text message alerts to our members from the website as reminders.

"Awesome with patience."

Overall: Overall, my experience has been great.

Pros: Although sometimes I feel that Uplifter and I speak a different language from an accounting perspective, I am appreciative of their new reports and the fact that they are always willing to help solve issues quickly and effectively.

Cons: Their accounting reports, although there have been upgrades, I still wish they could meet my needs. They take a lot of navigation. And the fact that they do not do in person training, although from a budget perspective, I understand. I just wish I could show someone how I reconcile everything and get their recommendation. (without being by email or zoom)

"perfect for gymnastics clubs"

Overall: This has been a great online platform for our organization. most of our members find it easy to create an account and register their participants online. The online attendance is great so there is no more printing and paper waste.

Pros: great customer service. If I can't figure something out, they are more than happy to help me.

Cons: long learning curve to determine the best settings to set up the discounts, programs, and website platform.

"Uplifter Review"

Overall: My overall experience with uplifter has been amazing. They make my program registration so easy every summer and give me so much time to focus on other things.

Pros: The uplifter support staff are amazing. They respons quickly, can solve any problem, and can provide step by step instructions. Any time I have an issue they always help me very quickly. I also love the back end of the platform. Easy to use, has lots of tools and lots of customizable items.

Cons: I wish the website builder was more customizable so I could move images and text around to different places.

"Awesome, Easy, Local!"

Overall: I love that you can contact uplifter so easily and have someone reply easily.

Pros: The built in website option! Also now the built in payment option is great.

"Uplifter 👍🏻"

Overall: Fantastic! I have used it with two different clubs now (gold package) and it has made administration tasks & tracking much easier.

Pros: Very user-friendly and the customer support team is very helpful when you have questions or can’t figure something out

Cons: Entering achievements can be time consuming and don’t always reflect updated CanSkate skills

"Loving Uplifter!"

Overall: I love this program, and as I mentioned the customer service is amazing, and there is lots to learn from all their information available online. I find it does almost everything we need to run our business.

Pros: Ease of use, customer service is quick and easy, lots of information/webinars to watch and learn.

Cons: The only thing I can think of is that I wish the website had a few more options for design style.
