Pros

Uplifter is fairly easy to use for accepting payments and registering skaters. Uplifter does provide good support for their product.

Cons

Uplifter is not intuitive by design. If you don't know exactly how to find something, you will not find it.

### "New user, easy rollout"

Intuitive design both back and and client facing. Good help articles and very responsive support team. We have had many fewer email requests seeking assistance from our club members during registration than we did with our previous software.

Pros

Very easy rollout with the Kickstart program.

Cons

Nothing comes to mind. Maybe an option to receive an email when a new registration happens?

### "Glad we switched to uplifter! "

We’ve generally had a lot of success. Some learning curves off the start, and little things here and there to figure out but once it’s set it’s quite useful and helpful.

Pros

It has streamlined our registration process, communications is easier, ability to have a website is nice. Lots of reports that are helpful.

Cons

It can be a lot to navigate off the start. I wish they had an app as well to make mobile access even easier!

Accurate reporting. Easier registration process that also works to remove the potential for duplicates. Custom public site management. Online credit card payments. More control over registrations, invoicing and payments. This allows us to better serve our member clubs. More payment options available to our clubs (online, cheque, installments, partial).

Pros

Customer Service and Support!! The support and development team are amazing. They respond to questions very quickly and always try to provide solutions to our inquiries. Since this is our first year with Uplifter, there were many times when we required a little (and sometimes big) tweak to a current feature. The development team was very willing to work with our organization to create or update that feature to work for our needs. If they were unable to completely fulfill our request they always had an alternate solution. Reports. With Uplifter, we have been more confident in our registration and financial reporting. Registrations. Our organizations accepts registrations that require different prerequisites AND several different fee types. Uplifter was able to accommodate these requirements in a way that is easy for administrators and users to use. Updates. It is wonderful to work with a team that is so devoted to constantly improve and further develop their product. The program has a page for the administrator view all recent and historical updates to the software. The administrator can also subscribe to the Learn.Uplifter mailing list to receive emails on updates and tips for the program. It is always very clear to the administrator what changes have been made and that support is easily accessible if they ever needed help. There is so much more I can say about Uplifter but cannot due to this word limit :)

Cons

Some setup is tedious. Our organization runs programs and subscriptions by seasons. For the most part, setup is straightforward; however, I feel it would be beneficial to add more "Copy & Paste" or batch updates to more areas in the software. Currently, the "Season" and "Program" feature can be copied; however, the subscriptions/products and linking SKUs to the ledger account cannot. Note: they recently added a copy & paste functionality to the category levels, which I found very useful! Invoices. Our organization accepts registrations by individuals so some invoices can get pretty lengthy. Uplifter has already significantly improved the checkout interface to deal with large quantities; however, the invoice could benefit from an updated look. Products. We recently looked into selling products through Uplifter; however, the current setup may not work for our needs. Similiar to the invoices issue, each product would be listed on its own line, which would make the invoice long. For example, selling 100 of the same product would list that product 100 times on the invoice.

### "Easy to Use and the Most Helpful Customer Service Around!!"

From the very first contact email to the zoom call to ask questions and walk through the software with Uplifter staff... to my registration launch where I was able to fill almost all my classes for the swim season... to the days after registration when people are needing to make changes and cancellations to their orders, my experience has been a positive one with Uplifter. They have made the whole experience easy for the business owner! I am a wonderful Swim Instructor... but I do not have any sort of business degree (nor an I technologically savvy) so I need something like Uplifter in my life!! Even a computer goober like me can figure out the software. And when I get stumped, their team is there to kindly and respectfully walk me through things!

Pros

Probably the 2 things that caused me to choose Uplifter after MUCH research was 1. the reviews convinced me that this company provided great customer service (the reviews didn't lie) and 2. the price was better than most of the other companies I had researched for Swim School software. I have not been disappointed in my choice. The customer service has been mind-blowing! Every single person I have dealt with has been a kind and intelligent human! I have not had to wait long at all for a response to a question or problem. If a problem has arisen and changes have needed to be made, the staff at Uplifter has been quick to make changes to best meet the needs of this small business owner! And, let's face it! The price for Uplifter is very affordable! It is worth every penny to have all the support and help to get my business organized and to keep it well-run!

Cons

I can't really name anything! This is silly... but one of the most confusing moments I had was when I was looking at the drop down menu for "time zone". Uplifter is based out of Canada and I live in the USA and in Central Time Zone. And that wasn't an option! So I had to google what I should choose for my time zone. If that's my biggest complaint, then there's really nothing to complain about!! :)

either the price was too high or I was not pleased with the amount of time it took them to get back in touch with me or they didn't offer the ability to allow customers a set amount of time to hold a spot while checking out.

Eventbrite's customer service (to me at least) was poor. I had to do all the work myself in setting up the site and entering all the classes. This took a lot of time and energy. Then when registration launched, PayPal shut down my account right in the middle of registration because the money coming in looked suspicious. With Brushfire, they do not have the option of holding a "spot" (or class) for a customer while they are checking out. So people were confused and furious when they selected slots for their children for swim lessons and then by the time they entered in their information the slots were stolen right out of their carts by the other customer who was able to type faster (or maybe who had less children to enter in)! Also the person who was assigned to be my customer support person was not on-the-ball and didn't get my classes all entered into the system until the evening before registration opened! This was stressful for me and didn't allow much time at all for proofing it to make sure it was error free.
