After a few minor bumps early on, we got everything working exactly as we desired. The product works very reliably, and when there is an issue, the support team is quick to respond to your ticket. Pros It creates a seamless data environment by bi-directionally syncing our CRM and ERP systems. This allows for automation of order booking and customer profile creation and eliminates a ton of redundant data entry and chance for errors. Cons Some of the configuration early on was difficult, partially because of the technical asks from our side. Working with the CRM->ERP team proved to be more difficult - understanding that it is the more complicated direction. Make sure your organization has someone with knowledge of your data environment. Pros A major benefit is that the integration eliminates double syncing and reduces the need for manual data entry, which saves time and greatly lowers the risk of human error. Cons One drawback was the slower response time due to the time zone difference. While the team was always helpful and professional, questions or support requests occasionally took longer to resolve because our business hours did not overlap. The onboarding is lengthy and bizarre. While their communication is timely, their overall concern for their customer and level of customer service is poor. Pros Software appears to work, but is time consuming to integrate. We have an unpopular ERP system, and perhaps that is part of the issue. Cons They do not care about the customer, only getting their money. Read your terms thoroughly before proceeding. Their onboarding process involves animated characters describing the process. Might be helpful to some, but my IT manager thought the whole process was so unusual he asked if we should stop earlier on. I wish I listened to him. I would recommend Commercient to anyone because they are able to familiarize themselves with your systems and synchronize them seamlessly, showing great patience and expertise throughout the process. Cons The user(s) involved in setting up our account are no longer with the company, and there isn't much information readily available about how the technical aspects of commercient work. Any technical issues or requests that we have are handled quickly. Pros Commercient is extremely professional and thorough in the work they do. We have been customers for over a decade and have always experienced top-tier service and support. Cons Fourteen years ago, we integrated Sage + Salesforce, but we did not choose to utilize the native Salesforce "Parent/Child relationships" between our Salesforce custom objects. This is something we wish we implemented from the very beginning - it allows for sharing permissions to be applied at the record level based on owner. August 14, 2020 5.0 When we started this project, I thought our use of an ERP system (Sage) with a data model developed before my time 15+ years ago with a ton of customization would preclude us from using Salesforce to its greatest potential. Happy to say that I was wrong! Commercient pulled us through despite any hiccups that came up. It was a pleasure working with our implementation partner and through Commercient (specifically \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\] - our rep - and \[SENSITIVE CONTENT HIDDEN\]- our developer - both of whom went above and beyond) to connect our data to and from both platforms seamlessly. I appreciate all of the work their support team did for us and cannot recommend them enough. Pros Set it and forget it. Since we implemented, the only time I needed to reach out to the Commercient team was to add functionality. Our project never would have succeeded without this sync. Cons They did not include a permission set along with their managed package while it was easy to set one up. December 18, 2020 5.0 I recommend this solution for others that need to move data between Sage and Salesforce. We use B2B Commerce and getting data between Salesforce and Sage is a very complex process, however, Commercient takes on the hard work for us. This does take some setup work and planning, so my recommendation is be detailed in what exactly you need and all the rules around your process. Commercient worked out well and they have a good team! Our consultants were able to utilize the files and data that Commercient provided to move it into B2B Commerce from Salesforce and from import files into Sage. By adding this solution, our future capabilities now have a solution for handling data between our systems. Love it! :) Pros I like the capabilities and flexibility that this system now provides us. Cons This was not as plug and play as we had thought. Reason for choosing Commercient SYNC Seemed like the best option as they have worked with Sage and Salesforce...our combination.
