Pros: For a recruiter, it's always about the interface and workflow. Can I quickly see and get to all the information I need to multitask with multiple clients and candidates.? The answer in the case is a resounding YES! Crelate does that far better than everyone else for me. The second thing it does better than any ATS I have ever used is automation of repetitive tasks. You can actually customize your own workflow. The interface allows you to drag and drop between stages. It will send out automated, customized emails at each stage of the recruiting process. It allows me to work quickly, efficiently, the way I want to work. It's a beautiful thing. The third thing is a reactive mobile app that works very well - it adapts to each device I use, tablet, phone, etc. One last thing, I have never in my 25-year career using ATS software had a company be so responsive to requests for help and new features. A few weeks ago (weeks!) I asked for a new feature that required the developers to make changes to their mobile app. It was a very important change for my business, but because it involved changes to an app, I assumed it would take months to get on the list of changes for their next release. I am happy to say that I was wrong, and their quick response was the best service I have ever experienced from an ATS software firm.

Overall: This is the very best ATS software on the market for a contingency or retained search firm.

For a small operation this software is very cost effective being able to do most of what the big expensive packages can but at a much cheaper price.

Comments: Pretty good package. I am fairly happy with my purchase.

Pros: very functional. Can do most functions expensive packages can do. Better than any other package I have found in its price range.

Cons: UI needs improving. Sometimes a bit confusing to use. Should have more obvious GUIs for things like importing new candidates and search functions.

Pros: Clean, intuitive interface and workflow. Drag and drop functionality. Easy integration with external websites. Customer support is excellent.

Cons: Mobile app is not acceptable as it does not have the ability to email a candidate resume to a client. This is a tremendous problem as this is one of the most important features of a mobile ATS app in the first place. If you are out of the office and you have an emergency (a client needs a resume of a candidate ASAP) you literally can't send one. The lack of this feature could literally cost me thousands of dollars. It is a recruiting mobile app feature that has to be there. So, I looked elsewhere.

Comments: I have uses Crelate for the last 2 months, I compared it with other systems and I was hooked after the demo. The interface is much more modern than on other platforms. It is priced right for as I start my business. I felt the customer service/ the rep has been going the extra mile to have me set up. Great system for recruiters getting started

Pros: - easy to use - Up to speed in 2 days max - interfaced with gmail and linkedin - Great customers service - Interface is brand new, modern

Cons: - Some fields do not populate automatically - The upload of the resume could be optimized, the name is missing and you would have to re type, not a bid deal though

Comments: Support is exceptionally good.

Pros: Visually appealing and many features. The resume and other document upload feature is nice and seeing the full resume on one click is helpful. It syncs with Outlook for email which is useful.

Cons: Many layers to each main area so can be somewhat difficult in the beginning to understand where to find all components. The duplicate candidate feature is a good feature but a clunky operation.

Pros: Crelate has been a great way to organize our recruiting process. It is easy to see which step each candidate is in. Our recruiting process has several steps and before Crelate it was very hard to keep up with candidates. Now I can quickly see how many people I have interviewing or phone screening for each position with a quick glance.

Cons: It feels like Crelate was created for recruiting agencies rather than recruiting departments. We do not operate like an agency so I have had to create work-arounds for a small portion of what we do.

Comments: We all want a software package that is flexible enough that we can adjust it to our business and not have to adjust our business to the software package, this is that tool. Within 1 hour of my using the software, I had a listing of clients already imported, candidate resumes parsed and was ready to go with the various workflows that I needed. Even better is the support team they have in place "Client Success" is their title - and it's appropriate! Exceptional people supporting a great product.

Pros: Easy to learn Can easily be customized (by YOU the end user!) Incredibly short learning curve to be functional. Exceptional support team!

Cons: It doesn't have all the bells and whistles of some of the bigger tools - but doesn't have the rigidity or long learning curve either!

Pros: I like that I can stay organized with my data: searches, candidates, clients. And I like that my partner and I can both access this data from our phones or computers.

Cons: I don't like the limitations, but am hoping Crelate will work through them soon! No software is perfect. I prefer Crelate to building my own software... something I have done before (never again)!

Overall: I own a boutique domestic help recruiting agency in Miami. I am a new user and am still getting accustomed to it. So far I like Crelate and I think it will serve our purposes well. The customer service team is excellent.

Recommendations to other buyers: Be patient. Takes a little time to learn and get used to it, but once you're 'humming' you're golden.

Comments: General: Best part is the customer service team. They are super helpful and patient. And, they are willing to take our comments and feedback to the developers. For the most part I like the software and I think I'll like it more as I grow more accustomed to it.

Pros: I have a boutique domestic help recruiting firm. Crelate helps keep us organized so that my partner and I can tag-team on our searches, and stay on the same page all the time. I love that we can use it from our phones or computers. I love that we can store all our data in their, work flow, status of each search, each candidate, each client at any moment.

Cons: There are a lot of limitations I'm hoping Crelate will work through. I still have to use a lot of other external documents. I am still learning how to use the software. Some of it is intuitive, some of it is confusing and hard to learn. And sometimes things don't work as they should. But the developers and customer service team works with us every day to crank through it. We are new users and almost 'humming'.

Cons: It would be great to have "required fields", forcing users to enter information on critical areas; and it would be helpful to limit users to specific pick lists, and not enable them to enter any data they want

Overall: Xtra Effort Solutions, Inc. is a 16 year Sales, Sales Engineering, and Customer Success recruiting firm for enterprise technology companies. We have a national reach.

The diverse nature of our client requirements make it imperative that we are agile when responding to super specific requests around candidate tenure, technical skills, industry knowledge, performance metrics, location, career stability, and countless other soft traits. Our challenge, as a contingency based search firm, is providing enough "high touch" service to satisfy each client's nuanced request, while maintaining enough velocity and volume to continuously feed the candidate and client pipeline.

A flexible, reliable, and powerful Applicant Tracking System is critical to achieve these goals. Crelate was suggested to Xtra Effort by another small recruiting firm. We were hesitant to consider change because of the fear of disruption associated with the data conversion and learning curve. However, these fears were alleviated when speaking with Crelate, mostly for two reasons:

1) Crelate's technology is intuitive, flexible, and really well designed
2) Crelate's people are SUPER responsive, thoughtful, creative, and resourceful

Crelate made Xtra Effort feel as though we were a 1000 employee prospect. They made every perceived major hurdle go away through listening and making resourceful suggestions.

We agreed to convert to Crelate and had the same favorable experience during the conversion and training period, and with the post conversion support organization.

Mostly importantly, Xtra Effort users are now offering unsolicited comments about productivity gains.

Xtra Effort would definitely suggest Crelate if you feel a need for improved value and function from your ATS technology AND vendor team. It is fantastic to truly valued as a customer by the vendor who is most critical to supporting our efforts. Contingency recruiting is challenging, it is nice to know that such an important partner cares and "has your back"

Comments: Crelate is easy to use. For the price, I would recommend it.

Pros: I like being able to forward emails to crelate and it adds them to the client or candidate profile. It parses word resumes by sending an email to the Crelate. It is also easy to make changes to the hiring process in the tool.

Cons: I wish I could forward PDF's and it would automatically upload information.

Comments: I have been using Crelate Talent for almost a year, and I am very happy with it. It's not perfect,no tool is - but it is pretty adaptable and customizable for such an affordable product. Customer service is responsive and helpful, and they have made some great improvements in functionality in recent updates.

Pros: Great value, highly customizable.

Cons: I wish it integrated more smoothly with LinkedIn.

Recommendations to other buyers: Try it out! It had a bit of a learning curve (at least for me - coming from another in-house developed ATS prior to this one), but once I got the hang of it, I've been impressed.

Comments: The best part about Crelate is their support. Whenever I do have a question they are incredibly responsive. Recently I re-branded my firm (new name, new website) and their support engineer worked for hand in hand with me to make sure everything launched without a hitch. The product is terrific and it does what I need an Applicant Tracking System to do. It doesn't get bogged down with stuff I don't need. Also, they really listen. On several occasions, I have made suggestions for improvements and they built it into their next quarterly release.

Pros: The support and the customer service.

Cons: There are some integrations to third party products that bigger ATS products offer that Crelate does not yet, but I think in time they will add the ones that are most valuable.

Recommendations to other buyers: If you are a small recruiting shop, this is the best solution out there for you.

Comments: Our team spent months searching for an ATS/CRM. Finally we came to a point and gave up. We chose a 20-year-old system that most headhunters use because we were desperate. It was the worst experience, 10 clicks to get to a simple step. We gave up and lost many houses and hundreds of dollars. Back on the search, we stumbled across CHELATE! Amazing customer service and ease of use! Of course there is no perfect solution. But these guys are amazing simply because they are USA based and when you email them RESPOND. Give these guys a shot....They won't disappoint!

Pros: ease of use robust automation customer service is 5 star

Cons: Platform seems to be newer then most other systems so some baby bugs but they fix them as soon as you mention them. This is to be expected. With any ATS. But these guys are USA based and have amazing support.

Comments: When I saw the product in the demo I was thrilled because it's the kind of product that you can use without training. Your home page is an overview of your openings and the candidate in your funnel. Everything is intuitive, very easy to understand and you can easily see or guess where to go to look for data and take action. I've seen other products that are not as modern or up to date with old platforms/features that are very clunky and tedious to use for twice the price and more. It's very easy to customize, both data input fields and reporting. So far, I'm happy to have chosen it. This is an up and coming product that definitely deserves a try.

Comments: Customer service/support is incredible. Very responsive. The platform is solid as a rock. Easy to use, manage and update. The usability is fantastic. Training others to get up to speed takes little time. Searching, keeping track of data and information? Better than anything I have used in my 17 years of Executive Search.

Comments: We use Crelate as our Applicant Tracking system. Our first experience with an ATS was with Sendouts and it was a great system until it was bought by Bullhorn and was no longer being supported. We did switch to another system in between Sendouts and Crelate and that was a disaster, like throwing candidates into a big black hole, never to see them surface again. Anyway, I digress, Crelate has been phenomenal for our small staffing business. It is robust, intuitive and does more than we could have hoped for. We are approaching our first year anniversary with Crelate and we could not be happier with the system; we should have switched long ago.

Pros: Intuitive, robust, makes sense, works like a recruiter works. The support is super responsive, timely and concerned about making everything work just right.

Cons: All software programs have glitches, Crelate is no exception. But so far, no cons that I can list as cons.

Comments: Generally pleased with Crelate, customer service is excellent. Product is sophisticated and can appear complex. We are a two person operation and therefore do not use many of the features which would be of benefit to a larger office envionment. Comments: Signed up and began using Crelate a few months back - the onboarding process was smooth and done extremely efficiently. Comments: I currently use Crelate for our ATS. The product is functional and easy to use. Customer support is amazing. I would certainly recommend this product to my colleagues.

Pros: The customer support team has always gone above and beyond in answering my questions and addressing my issues.

Cons: Overall a solid product. Crelate continues to add features and address/implement suggestions from users.

Overall: Crelate is highly intuitive. It has all of the features I wanted, and more. It has saved me tons of time, in comparison to my last ATS. The new features they are adding are great. Pros: It's an outstanding project management tool. I can track all my open projects on one page, and track every candidate through the recruiting process. Crelate is an incredible value, given that free updates are released periodically and I always feel I have current features.

Cons: Tough to say. The migration from my old database wasn't easy, but I found technical support to be outstanding.

Overall: Crelate has been my CRM for over a year now and I couldn't be happier. I looked at many packages before I chose Crelate and found it to be packed with features at a great value. I particularly like how I can manage and track all of my projects on one page, with a snapshot of the progress of every candidate. I also am excited about the periodic updates to the software. They listen to their users and offer upgrades for free. I've already recommended it to one colleague and wouldn't hesitate to recommend to others.

Comments: I transitioned from Sendouts to Crelate this summer. The support was seamless and using Crelate from day one has been a breeze. I love the ease of use, from posting a job to seeing the applications come into it and responding. All very easy.

Pros: Ease of use, adding candidates and the Linked In Chrome bar has been very cool.

Cons: Still trying to get a handle on searching for candidates, I had great codes in Sendouts and still struggle with how it translates into Crelate. This is probably more user error. Also, clients and candidates were separate files in Sendouts but all info was on each file. In Crelate, they came over as separate files so I am still cleaning up duplicates that are not easy to see.

Recommendations to other buyers: If they don't have a feature listed or presented when speaking with them, ask. They are rolling out new features all the time and are very receptive to ideas.

Cons: lack of interface with Mac Mail and Mac Outlook.

Overall: My company did its first ATS implementation 4 months ago and there is no looking back. We were instantly more organized and efficient.

Comments: Not only is the company super responsive to support requests, they are also very tuned in to user suggestions. Each user is valued and respected. Cons: not the cheapest in the market, yet for a few cents a day it is worth it!

Overall: Have been in recruiting for 16+ years (have worked in a boutique firm and a top Ten global firm) and have used all sorts of candidate/client management systems. In my estimation this is the easiest and the most user-friendliest to navigate. The interface (and your ability to customize it) is awesome!! A little more expensive than some--but well worth it in terms of efficiency.

Comments: I have had some success with the program, the only real issues I had was with password resets and not having a link to go to if I forget my password.

Pros: I can create my own applicant questioner easily, I can connect my jobs to my web site. I can track an monitor status on each job right at my home page.

Cons: Training is offered however I can not always make the training sessions because I work two jobs and the times offered are during business working hours. There has been some difficulty navigating the program due to missing out on the training, but I have for the most part been able to pick it up along the way.

Recommendations to other buyers: I would recommend this product to start up's, its affordable, and easy to get around when connecting to web-sites and posting job's.

Comments: It's true, all ATS' are not created equally, however, most give you the same or very similar features and functionality. That's why pricing, product support, and the relationship developed between yourself as the customer, and all of those in the sellers company that you become involved with is critical to making a buying decision! Everyone that I've had the pleasure of dealing with at Crelate has been very friendly and very helpful!! Crelate is a great product with many cool updates still to come - very exciting!! It is very user friendly and HIGHLY customize-able (is that word?!)!! Very easy to learn and become comfortable with - and I've worked with probably 10 ATS' throughout my years of recruiting. In fact, the few times I've had questions about how to do something, it was simply "me" overthinking it and making it harder than it was! Their tech support was very quick to guide me to the right solution, and in a very friendly manner.

Pros: Easy to learn / Easy to make customization changes / Easy to import resumes / Easy to load jobs and post to your webpage directly from Crelate / Mobile access /

Cons: Currently there is no highlight feature for key words on a resume, but this is coming very soon! Candidates and Client contacts are all listed in one group as "Contacts", they can be sorted, but they aren't kept separate.

Pros: The product is great - useful and a great value. It is highly customizable given its relative affordability, with so many built-in tools. As important to me, the customer service is quick and helpful. The built in support is usually sufficient to answer basic questions, but the personal support is responsive when you need it. I haven't taken advantage of as much of the onboarding support and training as I should have, but what I have used has been helpful.

Cons: There are perhaps a few really useful tools I wish this product had - the one I miss most is a "batch update" feature - the ability to update a large number of existing contact records (say, from a list of people who attended an event, or something similar). As it currently is, you have to add that info to each attendee - you can only load many records with information if they are new contacts. I also find the duplicate detection feature a bit sensitive. Some names are simply common, and if I give the records middle initials, nicknames, and/or email or phone numbers that are different, I would like to have the option of accepting the duplicate (rather than cancelling out or turning duplicate detection off - I want to be alerted to the possibility of a duplicate, but I'd like to be able to override it if I'm sure it's two people with the same name).

Recommendations to other buyers: Use the free trials for the products you're considering! Try to do the things you will need to do regularly, and see if it's a good fit for you before you commit. It's not just a matter of whether a software is capable of doing what you need, but also whether it is intuitive for you HOW it does it.

Pros: Crelate has all of the features I need to store data, move candidates through the pipeline, and search both resumes and notes or tags. I've had great experiences with training on the product, as well as customer support when I've had questions.

Cons: Having to click "Save" after I make changes. The level of customization is also a double-edged sword. It's wonderful to make the system fit my company's process, but also can get complicated to make it make sense for everyone on my team.

Recommendations to other buyers: Keep an open mind to changing your workflow. There are many features that can improve on your process instead of trying to make the features fit your current process.

If you can afford the cost, it's a great tool.

Pros: The Crelate support team is awesome! Very responsive, easy to work with and they seem genuinely interested in helping. It's really easy to use! I had no problems uploading 1000's of contacts and candidates. Creating email templates and customizing the layout to fit my needs has been easy as well. Integrating it with Outlook is great for tracking communication.

Cons: I am still new to the software and I haven't done any real training but I'm not crazy about the search tool and "tagging" everything.

Recommendations to other buyers: Everyone's needs and preferences are different. Software Advice did a good job of matching me to 3 companies to evaluate. I had experience with some others so I had a baseline for comparing. I chose Crelate because I liked the layout and functionality and everyone I talked to seemed genuine.

Pros: Everything about Crelate is a breeze to use. The UI is so intuitive. I love that you can attach photos of candidates to their profiles and Crelate allows you to search LinkedIn and social media right from the candidates profile. The drag and drop feature is also very easy to use. Their app is fabulous. I can actually fully function just using my phone.

Cons: No complaints. Crelate has built a stand out ATS. I really can't think of anything they could do to improve their software....it's that good.

Pros: User interface is simple to understand and user-friendly. You are able to drag and drop candidates into customizable stages on job orders, as well as quickly add notes and filter on activity. Features customizable activity types and icons. Support is available in-app, and tickets are addresses promptly by staff in the U.S. Ability to add custom tag categories and tags for skills, candidate preferences, etc. 5 customizable candidate information fields. Search is robust, and you can filter search on documents (and each customizable document type), activities, tags, etc. Job postings can be pushed to company's website as well as free industry boards. There is a companion app to retrieve/add information from mobile device. Basically for the money this is the best solution for our small business.

Cons: I really haven't come across anything I don't like. We haven't gotten into reporting capabilities so I can't comment on the effectiveness. Also I haven't been able to complete the advanced email setup for bulk messaging - there are some issues with my ISP that I'm not technical enough to resolve and support at Crelate hasn't been able to resolve either, however I haven't really pushed the matter as it's a feature I haven't needed to use.

Recommendations to other buyers: We considered some lower-priced options, however support/sales was not U.S. based and during demonstrations, it was clear the person doing the demo wasn't quite understanding what features I wanted to see. When it came to Crelate, I was very comfortable with the level of knowledge of the sales/training staff and felt more confident they would be able to sort out issues in the future. This was a factor in our decision, and one that I think should be considered. There were also similar priced-options with what I feel were TOO many features, making it hard to get set up and running effectively - the user interface of Crelate is just right.

Comments: Part of me doesn't want to let anyone else know about Crelate. I was an early adaptor and feel like its my company's "secret weapon". I refer it to everyone in the industry I respect that really knows what this business is all about. I've been using these systems for over 10 years and Crelate easily blows them all away.

Pros: UI layout and ease of use are an A+. Customizable on almost every front. Job board is one of the best I've encountered. Templates, notes and sharing activity with my team is a simple as anything I've ever seen. My list of Pro's for this system are endless. The winner here is the team associated with Crelate. they are top notch from the top down. Marc, Aaron, Jamie...all of them are true professionals and incredible to work with.

Pros: With some training, the package is easy to use. Once you understand the flow and the three-page interface, it becomes much easier to navigate. It helps tremendously with organization, follow-up, and reporting. The customer support has been fantastic and very quick.

Cons: There are still some quirks in the system, but the vendor has been very good about accepting suggestions.

Comments: I switched over my database services to Crelate almost a year ago. The conversion from my old provider to them was seamless ! As with any new software, it takes some patience to learn it and their training /support staff are excellent. I especially like their visual graphic screens that shows ALL MY search assignments as well as broken down individually with each candidate in the various stages of the recruiting processes displayed....VERY COOL This database is easy to navigate and is user friendly. Lots of features for all types of demands including posting multiple ads easily thru their system. Other features include customized tracking of metrics with graphs, charts, and spreadsheets. Also, easy to import and populate candidates profiles from LinkedIn! This was the only CRM /ATS that I researched, compared, and found to give me the most efficient database at such a COST EFFECTIVE PRICE ! My only con is with the candidates labeling/info for the " users defined fields" that aren't changeable now, which should be customized and changeable ... hopefully this will be implemented soon. I do trust their staff is dedicated in refining their product and services to keep up with the market demands and technology advancements. Overall, I highly recommend them.

Comments: I've been through 5 different systems over the last 12 years, some of which I gave a short test run and others our whole team moved over to. I have never been quite satisfied with any of the systems I've used, including our current. I started speaking with Mark a few months ago and he and his team have allowed me to "trial" the system for awhile. After about one week I began to realize how different the system and the team behind the system were. The decision to permanently move my team over to Crelate has been made very easy. Not only is the look, feel, and structure much better than our past experiences, but the staff and technical support has been amazing. Quick response, detail-oriented, outstanding support throughout the process. Also, the data migration process has been unlike any other I've gone through. Comments: Crelate has provided much needed simplicity and functionality for my recruiting workflow. My assistant is working 10+ hours per week LESS doing data entry and similar tasks with Crelate than with our previous ATS, which gives me 10+ hours of her time for more productive tasks. I love the flexibility and ease of use for the workflow stages, and I appreciate that all the information I need is on one screen - no waiting for other views to open. If I could give customer support a higher rating than 5 start...I definitely would do so!

Pros: Intuitive workflow, data entry/updates are easy in the profile screen, very limited clicks needed to get to all the info you need, easily customizable to my existing workflow. Customer service is fantastic!! Very responsive to customer suggestions. Simple database that gives me what I need without all the burden of an unnecessarily complicated system like Bullhorn. IPad app is fantastic for when I'm on the go!

Cons: Scheduling function is not as robust or flexible as I'd like (however, the fantastic tech guys are working on updates to this with the next update release, so this con could become obsolete soon!) This is not a massive system with tons of bells and whistles...it is a simple, intuitive ATS that provides all the functionality I need...but if you want ways to overly complicate things, this may not be the system for you.

beautiful design, clean, simple CRM interface. lots of customization available for the admin (like enabling custom workflow stages and names of stages that we define we can change ourselves). amazing Crelate team: dev team & customer service team are super responsive to questions, requests for help and product features, and training on demand. the product has so far managed not to get too 'heavy' like most recruiting tools eventually tend to to when trying to be all things to all people. Crelate works best in my opinion for boutique external firm (vendors) who need to be able to easily customize things, and not for internal (corporate).

What do you dislike?
the product is still young so it's obviously a work in progress. this is not a criticism; we signed up post-beta knowing there would be iteration but well worth the trade off because we have influence as the product matures. we love having this opportunity. search tools and results, (ranking, relevance) need to be better and this is also a work in progress. all of the things that could be better are things the team is aware of and are addressing with each new release. weekly office hour for all users with a customer service rep would be awesome (via joinme or zoom or whatever tool). the current solution is a candidate relationship management solution, but there is not yet a great client relationship management feature or a workflow that supports business development / prospecting/ sales process but i would love that some day.

We can see what conversations we've had with candidates in the past and outcomes of those. we can move candidates through the workflow and activities of a search project logically, using our unique labels & language.

Pros: Crelate works extremely well for my smaller scale recruiting efforts. For example, I work 3-4 positions at a time and Crelate does allow me to stay organized and on top of my game. I like the all in one interface, using the software to create an application that can be used on other sites, having all your candidates in one place, etc. Crelate is mostly user friendly with some training. I have found Crelate much easier to use than other talent management programs I have used in the past.

Cons: There are some glitches that I have noticed. Sometimes things don't work properly or they stop working the way they had previously. For example, in the past I had the ability to upload test scores to a candidates profile. If I submitted that candidate to the client I was able to submit the resume, test scores, and any other attachments. Now, I can still attach the test scores but I am unable to submit those test scores through Crelate. Perhaps it's because I recently upgraded to Windows 10 but it creates an extra step in the process.

Recommendations to other buyers: Compare ease of use. If a program doesn't help your work flow then you need to look at other options. Crelate definitely makes my work flow easier and works well for my daily needs.

Pros: The visual aspect. I like being able to see the visual layout of all the candidates, where they are at in the process and being able to move candidates around easily through the drag and drop feature.

Cons: The only feature I find a slight issue with is when you approve a candidate and they still sit in the new applicants pool. I would like for them to automatically go into the hot candidates once they are approved. Would help with overall organization.

Pros: I love the visual overview that is available to see each job. You can easily see the status off all applicants, and move them through your process. It is easy to track notes/tasks/interviews, and easily refer back to these. The interface is bright an easy to navigate.

Cons: I wish that there was more integration to some third party services - things like integrating scheduling with your own calendar, integrating with testing / background check services, job boards, etc. I think that this is a young software and that could come with time.

Recommendations to other buyers: I think it is important to make sure this software fits your internal process- I'm a 3rd party recruiter and its adapted really well to us.

Pros: I love the intuitive interface of this product. It's so easy for me and my team to use. And the team behind it is so responsive. They are a very talented team that really listens to their users and are making constant improvements and additions.

Cons: It doesn't have a CRM type function built in, which we'd like to have.....but they are working on this right now..can't wait!

Pros: Ease of use, and the intuitive aspects that allow you to navigate, even if you are not sure of the next step. If we hit a roadblock and need assistance, a quick note to the Support desk results in a timely, personal reply---and a solution. Most other ATS resources are more expensive, and they require a long term commitment. Crelate is very well priced, and for a small firm like ours, allows us to make monthly payments, and if necessary, flex up or down the number of users, as often as necessary.

Cons: Because the site "anticipates" your needs, it sometimes gets ahead of itself, requiring the user to make corrections. Example---when entering notes after a conversation, if you type a key word or phrase, you can experience unwanted text popping up and appearing in your notes, requiring corrections be made.

Recommendations to other buyers: Spend time testing the product during the trial period they provide. Since I had the benefit of working with two similar products for a few years prior to starting my own business, I knew the features that would be most important to me. If Crelate is your first ATS, look at others and compare, as I did, test driving up to five products For my needs and my budget, Crelate offers the features I need to run my business-they help me track positions and candidates, as I record every important detail of my interaction with people, and all the details of every transaction. They keep me organized and they serve as my memory.

There's just enough customization available to make it fit our business perfectly, without being overly complicated. Pros: Intuitive to navigate through. You can select almost anything on a page to navigate, where on other ATSs I have used, you have to do multiple steps.

Cons: There are very limited reporting options. No reporting of salary or placement fees.

Pros: Small and accessible for customer service. The product is simple and intuitive to navigate. If you don't need the back-end resources found on a product like Bullhorn this is a great option!

Cons: There is no financial tracker for how much the placement is worth. But this is not an issue for a small company with less than 50 placements a year.

Recommendations to other buyers: Know what your needs are ahead of time. If you are looking for a modern well designed program that functions as only an ATS, I recommend calling Crelate and doing a demo. We find it simple and easier to navigate than any other ATS out there - especially for the price!

Comments: I have been in the staffing industry for over 16 years, and have used everything from desktop based proprietary systems to numerous CRM based and other web based/SaaS based ATS's. I started my own firm over a year ago, and demoed 7 different products including Crelate. Until the demo with Marc, I had never heard of it before. Crelate blew away everything else I tried. Marc, Aaron, Jamie and the team are top notch. They are responsive, and love getting ideas from my company on improving the product. The user interface is as user friendly as you can get, it provides every piece of functionality a company could need, the iPad and iPhone apps are great and have found myself using them on numerous occasions, the site has never been down nor had an issue, contacts are updated in real time with my team, resume submittals, reports, customization, advertising partnerships, custom job board, tracking candidate progressions...all in all, everything you need an ATS to do, it does, but in a user friendly, web based setting.

I've recommended Crelate to a number of people I know in the industry, even people looking for a CRM. As my company grows, Crelate will be our partner and will grow with us. I'm excited to have them as a value added resource and wouldn't want any other system in house.

Pros: This software is very easy to learn and also user-friendly. The training videos are a great tool.

Cons: The only thing that has not been to my liking is that only the owner can have access to settings; sometimes the owner could be unavailable, and one additional controller of settings would be helpful.

Pros: All of my experiences working with the team at Crelate have been so friendly and positive. It's like having my own personal team of developers helping me answer questions and figure out some of the shortcuts in the product. The product is straightforward and easy to use, and it's easy to tweak it and customize some of the workflows and features. I also love how easy it is to look up a contact/candidate using LinkedIn or Google.

Cons: The search functionality is a little clunky, and they've acknowledged that and have it on their development list. That said, they showed me a couple of workarounds that seem to meet my needs with a relatively small database (2100 records). They have good publishing capability for some of the free job boards, but there is not a simple process to post with Monster or LinkedIn. Also, the web interface is very basic right now, and I'm not getting many candidates directly through the interface, which makes it a little more cumbersome to download the resumes from my email. I've been using the product for about a month and have this on my list of questions to ask the team to see if there is an easier way.

Recommendations to other buyers: For me, there was very little risk going with Crelate. I didn't have any database at all prior to this, so it's been a dream having my resumes in one place and searchable. Finding one candidate who had applied for another position who I can present for a new position that I have open pays for the software! I like the fact that they are small and you get to talk to real people.

Comments: First of all let me state that I am a solo recruiter. As a 10 year Maxhire user, I was devastated by their acquisition. I spent about a year searching for a new ATS, but more importantly, an ownership group that treated me like I was their most important customer. That is what I found in the guys at Crelate. The Co-founder and head of development comes from a CRM background with one of the big boys. I came on board during their beta phase and when I had a question I would usually get a call from one of the owners. When I make a feature request, it is often implemented within 30 days.

I moved from a .net application (Maxhire) to a web based product (Crelate) and the transition was very easy. The User Interface is very intuitive and the functionality is very robust and becoming more so every month. I could not be happier!

Crelate has been a godsend for my recruiting team!

Pros: The team at Crelate is always open to new ideas and is able to make changes to the application quickly. The GUI is very interactive and provides a small learning curve to new members on the team.

Pros: The interface is terrific, and it is incredibly easy to put information into the system. The speed and usability of Crelate are its greatest assets. Also, the customer service is unparalleled. I know all of the tech people by name, and their response time is lightning fast. Moreover, when there is a new feature, they personally reach out to make sure I'm aware of it and walk me through it. I've never seen anything like it!

Cons: Honestly, I can't think of anything. It is a truly unique product in the marketplace.

Pros: First and foremost, the people that I've dealt with at Crelate are incredible. They are everything that you want in a VAR and more. They answer my emails almost immediately, follow up with me, and follow through on promises. We run ideas past each other on how to make it better, and they listen! The usability of the system is about as easy as it comes. People think that in an ATS, the more buttons or bells the better, but they can destroy the UI and make the system a nightmare to navigate. Averity spends 6-10 hours a day in this system, and our eyes never get sore. The overall usability makes it one of the easiest ATS that I have ever used. It's fully customizable, but I didn't need to change a thing. It's about as simple and user-friendly as it comes.

Cons: The scheduling interviews feature needs improvement. We've talked about this, and they are actively working on it, so I'm not sure that this will be relevant in future releases/readings.

Recommendations to other buyers: Make a list of what's most important to you, go through the demos of the ones you want to see, and then rank them on that list. I did this with 6 products, and Crelate blew the others out of the water.

Comments: I have really liked Crelate since I switched, especially how easy it is to input information to the system. The interface is good, and it's easy to navigate around. It is not as easy to extricate information from the system as it is to input it (i.e. generate reports). I think they are working on that. Crelate is a great value, and its nice to be able to access it from any internet site or mobile device. I could not do that with my previous system. Also, the availability and responsiveness of the customer service team is really strong.

We appreciate the flexibility to pick and chose the features that are relevant to our business and workflow.
