Friendly people, always helpful, responds quickly, helps me with any problems that I have or do not understand.

Pros

Redline Rural Billing has a yearly subscription that is very reasonable for our city. Rural Billing is easy to use and navigate. I have never had any issues with someone try to hack into the system. The payment process is easy to use and easy to correct if you make a mistake. Printing the bills are easy, receipts are easy to print and return to print one if you forget. The features are easy to navigate. I am always aware of any upgrades along with a definition of what the upgrade is.

Cons

There is nothing that I do not like about Redline Rural Billing. The system is easy to maneuver through.

For our small city, this software was a game changer. I would highly recommend. After looking at several options, I am so thankful we chose Rural Billing.

Pros

Very affordable for small cities. Ease of use. Support is exceptional. Customer and billing management is not overly complicated with things that are unnecessary for a small town (we are less than 250).

Cons

I can't think of one thing I dislike. This software is easy to navigate and the tech support has always been great.

Pros

What I like about rural billing is the customer service/support. \[sensitive content hidden\] will make himself available even at the last minute to assist me with any issues I might be having with the software. Although, I am able to navigate through the software, there are times when I can't figure out certain processes. \[sensitive content hidden\], walk me through each process and will follow up with me. He is awesome.

Cons

We use the software for utilities only. It would be nice to have a work order system within rural billing.

I have been extremely satisfied with all aspects of the software from entering data to running reports. I would definitely recommend this software for small rural utility systems.

Pros

The simplicity of entering data along with the easy flow of navigation. The report menu is very useful and informative. Also was pleased when they integrated online billing and payments including the auto pay function.

Cons

There is nothing that I like least about Rural Billing software since I started using it in the year 2018.

Exceptional, the customer service is outstanding, the ease of entering data is great.

Pros

The ease of operating the system, very user friendly. The system is has excellent reports both for the Village and the customers

Cons

Being able to enter a credit adjustment for a customer when they do not have a balance due or the credit exceeds the amount due on the customer's account.

Thanks for the great review, Wendy! Regarding entering a credit when a balance is not due - be sure to select the 'customer balance' item when that scenario occurs. It will allow you to enter the credit on the customer account.

MY EXPERIENCE WITH RURAL BILLING HAS BEEN GREAT. THE PEOPLE THAT I HAVE TALKED TO ARE COURTEOUS AND WILLING TO HELP YOU WITH ANY PROBLEM YOU MAY BE EXPERIENCING WITH THE PROGRAM.

I REALLY LIKE THE THAT I DON'T HAVE TO MANUALLY INSTALL UPDATES BECAUSE RURAL BILLING DOES THAT FOR US. I LIKE THE FACT THAT IF I NEED HELP WITH SOMETHING THEY ARE ALWAYS SO HELPFUL.

WE DO NOT NEED THE AUTO SHIPMENT OF BILLS AND IF WE COULD JUST CALL AND ORDER THEM THAT WOULD WORK BETTER FOR US. WE HAVE ASKED TO BE TAKEN OFF THE AUTO SHIP.

I can usually get the help I need on the same day, if not within the same hour of calling. Everyone is very helpful.

Pros

It is easy to get the help you need when something goes wrong. The updates for the product seem to come fairly regularly.

Cons

Not being able to switch users without closing everything out. I would be nice if we could just hit a button and switch within seconds.

Pros

It is very user friendly. Tech support is always so helpful even when it is a user error or something I am unsure how to do.

Cons

That the only way for customers to pay on Auto pay is with a credit card. Bank accounts and routing numbers would be so much better. Lately every month I have around 20 customers that their cards did not process and most of the time it's because they had to get a new card because theirs was compromised.

At this time, our Auto-Pay system is limited to credit/debit card processing, but we recognize the value and convenience that bank account (ACH) payments could provide and are in the process of rolling out that option.

I love the Rural Billing!!!! It is easy to understand! I love the tech support help! I have nothing but great things to say about this software!!!

Pros

Pros: I love how you can talk to the support. I love how you can print anything you need to on the bills. It is very easy to learn and work with. I am thankful for being able to talk to a "REAL PERSON"!! Very fast and easy emailing, calling. I LOVE how the tech support can go into your computer and help you with anything you need!!!! I think it is a great help to any company that they send the billing sheets out without even asking! I wasn't ever trained for this job and I have called many, many times needing help and the gentleman that I speak with has always treated me with the most respect and encourages me and helps me to learn whatever I need to know!!! I am very blessed to have such a fantastic software!!! Thank you all!!

Cons

The only problem I can say is one thing: The activity sheet is hard to explain and break down to the older customers. I have went to show details and still had to go step by step to explain why a customer owed what they did. It is easy if they have a bill no late fee and pay it! That is simple. The ones I need more help with are like a person owes a bill, then late fee applied, then another bill, they make a payment, it needs to be able to be placed under the bill they are making a payment for. I can give you a customer to show you a example for. I have to sit with the customer and go step by step adding and taking away to come up with why they owe each thing. I know this is hard to understand but please feel free to email me or call me so I can help you understand. 256-354-2359

Our community purchased the Redline Data Rural Billing Solution over a year ago. We are a small community that needed a solution that was easy to impliment and maintain. This solution was perfect for what we needed from both a cost perspective and functionality. We were able to install and configure the solution within a few days and it was very easy to convert our manual billing system over to the Rural Billing solution. The Rural Billing application includes all of the features and functions that high dollar solutions include, but cost is based on the size of your community. The Redline support group is top notch and they go out of their way to work with their customers to ensure that problems are taken care of in a timely manner. We have been very satisfied with the billing product and services that we have received from Redline Data.

I have recommended this program to several systems who are now using it. I have had systems come to my office to view the Rural Billing set up and it's operations.

Pros

The program is easy to learn and use. Excellent Technical Support. Technical support is easy to understand, and they are quick to respond to any situations. When I have a question, I always speak to the same person, who knows my system. It is not a different person every time I call.

We have no complaints.

When I have had to contact them, I have always been able to have a call or an email back from them. The program is easy to use and the service is great!

Pros

The ease of being able to contact support and to get the help that is needed. The process of being able to take the credit cards and having it go directly to the accounts is great! Being able to get the reports when I need them is GREAT! I can just go in and get them and not have to wait on anything. They are easy to get ahold of for any issues that may come up.

Cons

The city really has no complaints about Rural Billing; they are easy to work with and get a hold of. No complaints from us.

Since I took over our sewer department, I have had to learn how to use this software and it has been super easy and I haven't had much problem with figuring it out. My hard drive recently crashed and customer support was able to help me get back on track and it took no time!

Pros

The activity log is very helpful to help keep up with payments. Some customers get behind or pay ahead and pay different amounts than the bill so being able to see that activity helps me make sure their account is correct. I also like that when customers pay online through GovPortal it transfers over to Rural Billing. This has been super helpful so I don't miss customer payments.

Cons

So far I have not come across anything I have had problems with.
