Pros: This service is fantastic and provides such an easy to use platform, even for people with limited experience of collaboration tools or kanban style project boards- good integration with to do lists aswell

Cons: Primarily used the free version and found I had enough functionality for main tasks- I was put off slightly by the paid plans as the price per user meant for medium teams the price for the small business I was in was too high

Detailed yet simple - just how it should be.

Pros: How simple it looks, the user experience, the customer service, the versatility. We use it in our company to both manage our internal management affairs and our projects - every feature works for both.

Cons: I wouldn't say "like least", but just something extra we figured we needed for the "to-do list" part. We have some business we need to follow up on a really long term and some business that needs to be dealt within a time period. So we first used to assign members to all of them, but it began to be somewhat tiring to distinguish which ones are urgent and which ones are not in the to-do list, individually. We had to remove members from the long term ones since we cannot seperate them in the to-do list. So maybe some kind of seperate customizable grouping would be really good in the to-do list.

Overall: Order and ease of tracking in all business.

Utilize for managing all work related to ski lift maintenance.

Pros: Ability to build a customized workflow quickly, with the ability to continuously improve upon process and features required as the project progresses. Built in applications such as Default Values, Defined Workflow, Timesheets, and Cycle time make optimizing your workflow for efficiency virtually effortless. Collaboration and notification features are outstanding. Quickly integrate with external applications through pre-built integrations and RestAPI.

Pros: Mulitple boards in a collection is probably the major drawcard for us;
Separating the backlog from the boards and then having multiple boards within the backlog is brilliant;
Having a ToDo across all collections and boards list is very handy;
Creating relationships between cards;
Custom background images while not important really make the product a to work with;

Cons: These are 'nice to haves', and don't really impact on using the product to any major degree: Slack integration needs some work, I would really love the interaction between the two to be in both directions - Slack shows the updates to cards etc, while Favro cards can be added/edited with Slack commands;
Can't organise Collections into groups;
Switching between organisations is tedious - could be streamlined so you remain logged in any number of organisation;
Would prefer if I could limit tags to specific collections;

Overall good experience, but one thing that really bothers me

Pros: It's a very clear, very neat software. I like the quick overview you have with the cards of all your important tasks. It's very easy to customize.

Cons: I really don't like that when you have a lot of cards in a column you need to scroll all the way down below to adjust the view from left to right. It really bothers me and overall consumes a lot of time, I cannot miss.

Overall: A quick overview of all my important tasks to complete. It's easy to customize to your needs.

Pros: Having both the option to add boards and backlogs on one collection, and being able to add unique features to each board.

Cons: Takes a while to get used to. Some Apps and features are not easy to use and lose time to remember each time how to use this or that.

Overall: Ability to grow our company to take it to the next level. We think of Favro as Trello's big brother! :)

Pros: Favro is very easy to use and they continuously deliver new functionality that makes a lot of sense. It's almost like they read my mind.

I've tried other similar solutions in the market and nobody adapts so nicely to an agile/scrum development process. I can keep track of multiple developments, testing and implementation teams in the same tool.

Cons: Since Favro is really a "first of breed" product, some desirable functionality is just not there just yet. However, they're way further ahead than any other similar solution and they deliver new functionality very often.

I do not like the fact that some of the key features are in the top version/pay plan. I do try to get the best out of what I actually have in my version.

Overall: Excellent visibility, a great way to motivate the team and keep them focused on the most relevant stories on a sprint. Overall a very elegant solution for managing software organizations.

Favro is basically what you want Trello to be.

Pros: Card based tracking seamlessly tied with nested backlog lists...that alone makes this worth it. There's also a ton of features that tie right into the card based method; todo lists, calanders, etc. It's all very handy and simple to use...and very powerful too.

Cons: Can get a bit slow with 1000s of cards that all have preview thumbnails. An "autohide" images might speed things up a bit?

Overall: It's easy to use collaboratively in a cloud based environment.

Pros: User friendly, easy to learn to manage and move boards from one person to another, like that I can see where in the process my colleagues are.

Pros: I like that you get notifications when your card is updated. The cards are sorted with different labels and priorities. The priority level and owner labels are also convenient.

Cons: It was a bit harder to switch through calendar, etc with no prior knowledge but this maybe is just experience.

Overall: Organization and insight into what the rest of the team is working on.

Pros: The backlogs, I love the backlogs, they are powerful and quite "visual" to work with, it makes so easy the collaboration between teams inside an organization, communication reach faster the desired recipient, and make easier the tracking operations. Also the possibility to work with several boards at the same time, the potential is about to get real!

Cons: Sadly, the integration with mails is not good enough, also the impossibility to paste images in a comment, that is a big problem for us, we handle a lot of graphical information as aid for diagnosing and bug-catching. I don't like the mobile app as well, it is so confusing to me and not powerful as the browser edition.

Overall: Seamless integration with other departments, which contribute delivering our software faster and much more solid.

Pros: It blows the other similar web-based solutions out of the water! Way more advanced features out of the box, and the Card/Board/Backlog workflow is a perfect in its simplicity while still allowing lots of advance uses. Also it's Swedish!

Cons: Because it's still relatively new, Favro is lacking some features I would like to see. However things are being rolled out at a surprising rate.

Overall: Not being restrained like with other similar software like Trello, while also not having to use something clunky like Jira.

Pros: It has fundamentally changed the way we manage and oversee projects. the linear movement of cards across the various boards gives a very visual overview of the state of a project. Having the entire team collaborate across different elements of the project but all feeding back into the favro board, it is the beating hear of everything we do!

Cons: No .pdf preview is very annoying (especially when trello has this....)
Attached images don't appear when searching cards

Overall: everything

Pros: The flexibility of how to use it , to be able to create a backlog for each project I am running. I was very happy to be contacted by Favro after signing up with advice and ideas of how to use it as an admin person, very useful for my work with Favro. Also, the person contacting me was proffessional and in no way pushy or "sell-y". Which I appreciated.

Cons: I would like to be able to customize it to my company's colors and logo. Overall it could be made "prettier" with different fonts and effects.

Pros: The ability to create boards for each month's Sprint planning helps in organizing as well as giving our team an overall few of what tasks and projects are assigned to each member by cards. For each card, it is easy to track the progress and updates from each team member and this helps in weekly & monthly meetings. Notification alerts helps in getting important updates.

Cons: Few minor UI fixes can improve the software. One thing I would like to see improvement is that for a particular board having lots of cards, the horizontal scroll bar should be fixed at the browser window level so that it becomes easier for user to view other columns in the same board.

Overall: This is our team collaboration software and it becomes easy for our Sprint planning for monthly tasks and projects.

Pros: It doesn't break. It's purple, and the interface is logically laid out.

Without this tool, my inter-team communication would take a huge hit. I love the tags, I love that I can rearrange the cards on the fly and I love the labels for the card categories.

Cons: The lack of an individual theming system. It would be great if each user could make theme changes to their Favro board that only displays to them. Some people have a harder time with certain colours or simply want to reduce eyestrain during the workday.

Overall: It helps me get things done and track the bigger picture tasks as well as the daily tasks for my team.

Pros: For a team under five persons Favro is super cheap.
We've tried them all (Asana, Trello etc) and none of them has fit us. With favro we are finally getting a tool we use daily without it feeling like it takes up too much time. All of us enjoy using it and have found a great way of managing our time and projects through Favro.

Cons: We really wish there was a better overview of a calender. That way you could set tasks/cards and see your own personal calendar of what has to be done, but also see what your team is working on and deadlines.

Overall: It's been helping our productivity. We have managed to get everything from our production workflow to our sales to be in a very good order. Great piece of software!

Pros: The possibility of sharing cards over different boards allows us to organise different teams sharing info.

Pros: Favro is fast, intuitive and easy to use which means the team is actually using it! Other project management solutions I've used have ended up taking too much admin time. Favro also gives a really great overview when collaborating across teams and the filtering and search functionalities are working great, making sure you always see the cards that you are interested in.

Cons: There are still some features and integrations that I think are missing.. But the development seems to go pretty fast and I'm sure they'll come sooner or later.

Overall: Better team collaboration and less admin time.

Pros: Boards-collections is great for managers. Integrations with others tools work well. The onboarding is comfortable and for users of Trello is easy to use.

Cons: The price is high for startups. Is hard justify the change from Trello because is free and 7 people are paid in Favro. I try to recommend for others startups in our accelerator but the price turns away.

Overall: Well better than Trello, easy to manage teams.

Pros: The concept with boards and backlogs in collections that are mirrored. That it has a lot of interesting intergrations that helps with the workflow.

Cons: I've written an email before with some improvements that would help us a lot. But one thing I forgot was a feature that would allow users to remove all other instances of a card. Something like "Remove all other instances but this one".

Pros: I can assign people as reviewers for my technical documents by adding them to the card. They get notified when the doc/help is in review. I love that it notifies me too in Slack; it helps me to keep track of what tasks I completed during the week. Our engineering team uses it; I think it is an awesome way to see your tasks in detail and in a visual manner.

Cons: I wish I could set it up to automatically email people assigned to Favro cards, each week, telling them that there are still outstanding tasks for them to complete.

Pros: It's a good middle weight - not too heavy and bulky like JIRA - not too light like Trello. Non tech people on my team understand it pretty easily.

Cons: Card UX can be confusing, like managing where exists, making copies etc. Also do not like the "members" status for people. Would prefer explicit "Assignee" and also "Followers" gets confusing who should be working on a task. Visual design could be modernized too, doesn't feel like a "light and easy" place to work. Dropbox Paper is a good example of what I mean by "light and easy" - Also I have to use a trackball mouse, hard to scroll sideways on boards w/ many columns.

Overall: Planning, tracking, feedback management

Pros: Good and clear UI.
We can manage BE / BI / Web / Phone clients in one collection.
The tool is "techie" enough for our Devs and simple enough for all other business units in our company.

Cons: What we really miss and what would be a blocker for further usage if our company is doing a good job and grows is the option to build child-relations, dependencies, and status-updates on cards in and between boards. Nice to have would be an option to assign an 'owner' to a card or card families.

Pros: Very good handling

It's possible to create a good overview of project
Very good concept of structuring collections, boards, lanes and so on
Has a lot of integrations

Cons: - No GitLab integration
- No voting on cards
- Not very user friendly handling of cardtemplates (to much clicks to use it, not possibility to change or update templates - you have to create a new one and delete the old one. There is a lot of space for improvements of functionallity and handling)
- the integrated timetracking is not very useful and also not very friendly in handling

Overall: Very good functions to structure the own work
Good flexibility
A mighty tool with a lot important functionalities that you need for kanban-based work
Mighty Plugins

Pros: UI design are very good. It is easy to use and good functionality. Web API are good. (but not enough.)

Cons: Server response is not so good, sometimes unstable.

Default Slack integration app is terrible. We have made our own integration from scratch. But web api is not enough, so we needed some hacks.

Pricing is too rough. It should be charged by per a single user.

We needed to develop a tool to satisfy demands for our management. (But it is OK.)

Pros: Keyboard shortcuts, the ability to move or copy cards, paste pictures directly in a card using "Ctrl +V" , burndown chart, card templates.

Pros: That the agile flow is modelled and card duplication is nicely solved. This is combined with speed and robustness (reasons we left previous platforms)

Cons: We found a scrolling glitch, and we're concerned about the cost scaling long term. We'd like to invite all our clients to share read-only boards, but that's going to get pricing quickly.

Overall: It lets us model our complexity so it fits the process we have really well. Let's lots of agile apps out there, but as an agency, you're always working on multiple projects (normal agile doesn't handle this well) the card duplication lets us manage lots of complexity without too much complexity in the interface.

Easy to use. Constant improvement. You do feel like part of a family due to good customer support.

Pros: Easy to understand and use.
More project structure than in Trello.
Report abilities
More geared towards scrum with estimations (point system).
Clone function.
Distinction between backlog and board
Templates for boards and collections
Copy function

Cons: Relationship between cards difficult to see and check once a ticket is in a board. Subticket relations are hard to maintain and review.

User role/rights management is very rudimentary and needs improving.

Customer fields is a welcome feature.

Several templates per board or backlog are not possible.

Opening a link to card/board/backlog/ etc. will just open that as a singular entity with no ability to move back to the system properly.

Checklist items are not detailed on any of the reports just how much items there are in a list.

Ability to navigate to the next ticket with a keyboard shortcut.

Ability to scroll through pictures if a ticket has more than one attachment.

Ticketnumber is not displayed on tickets when in board view.

Very little export functions for different systems.

Overall: More structure and a better overview for our project.

Pros: + Lots of features and integrations with other systems.
+ Great customer support (they are on our slack channel).
+ Public roadmap available for customers.
+ Convention over Configuration, however, is still possible to customize it for your needs.
+ Works well across devices

Cons: - Consumes a lot of memory on the browser, and sometimes get stuck.

Overall: It was easy to create roadmap and todo-boards for teams all across the company, share and create "release" boards as a combination of epics between all the teams. That way, we can share the vision and the future of the company based on what people are doing!

Pros: Reports make it easy for my dev team to use, setup and organization of boards and backlogs are easy. Management of members and guests can also be done easily.

Cons: I would like to see more customization for software development, things like Gantt charts, bug reporting, sprint cycles and scrum scheduling.
Custom colours would be GREAT!

Overall: Easier team and project management

Pretty easy to use if you've used a management tool such as this. Similar to Trello.

Pros: Great Link with github making our R&D flow seamless between scrub management and bug triage made in Favro and code and branches on Github.

Cons: Sometimes it is pretty slow, and led some dev to do everything in github.
We forget a lot to hit save and we have lost many time some edition on some card, super frustrating.

Pros: Easy to use, has a lot of features we can gradually expose as users become more sophisticated. Integration with outlook calendars.

Cons: no Gantt charts, no export, no assigning individual items in checklists. Need better integration with outlook calendars (assigning tasks). Having tasks show up in more than one place. Traditional project management dependencies / flowcharting needed. Audit / compliance admin capabilities. Data analysis API access.

Pros: The ability to turn features on and off. For example swim lanes are huge. Another example is the Slack integration. The core functionality is there, but I can also add additional pieces per project as needed.

I also love the fact that if you can use Trello. Favro feels like its older, stronger, smarter brother. After a while, some of my client Trello boards turned into 30 column monstrosities. Favro allows me to turn those into clean organized boards.

LOVE swim lanes. Swim lanes are a Kanban staple and allow me to easily organize my boards vertically and horizontally.

Also love the Backlog elements. Helps keep things organized and contained.

Clients and most people in general get overwhelmed with too much information. Favro allows me to strip away the noise for my clients so they know exactly where to look and what they need to do. For example, I can hide the backlogs, I can minimize the boards I don't care about. Less noise = more focus.

Cons: I wish the card templates were dynamic. In other words, I create a template, and after updating the card template it updates all the other templates moving forward.

Favro is a great tool and very easy to use.

Pros: I love the way cards can be shared across multiple boards. This makes our business tasks much easier to manage as different departments have different access levels for each board. The ability to add media files is also a fantastic feature.

Cons: We used to use Hansoft before the switch over. I feel Favro is lacking a decent burndown feature. The option to just show the title of a card would be really helpful. With the ability to maximise the full card if you are working on a project.

Overall: It makes our daily tasks much more managable. Especially the ones with multiple users working on the same project.

Pros: Great UI and UX design, very useful for keeping track of big projects with lots of moving parts

Cons: no linked file preview on cards,

confusing to navigate large collections

Overall: We've recently made the transition from Trello to Favro, and on the whole we're very happy with the quality of the software and the service provided. The only constructive criticism i have is:

- having to download linked files to preview them, in trello you could view files linked to cards in browser without having to download them first. This is an essential functionality that favro is sorely lacking!

- when you have multiple long collections of different long lists, it can become quite complicated to navigate around the collections, maybe an expanded set of shortcuts allowing you to jump from collection to collection and card to card could be quite useful in terms of the user experience. At the moment it can be quite tricky to find specific cards in big collections.

Cheers,

Damiaan

Comments: I like the overall look and feel of the product but some of the interaction and features feels a bit wierd. We link a lot of cards between collections/boards to expose them to different teams and in different constelations but it takes a bit of effort to do as you have to add each list to the new collections. There are also some bits regarding user rights the are unclear or missing, like why you can't add a list to some collections. It would also be great to be able to invite external user to do certain operations like uploading files to a card, changing order and moving between certain lists/columns.

Comments: We moved to Favro after all the bottlenecks we faced with Trello.
Few reasons:
- ability to view multiple boards in the same view
- a nice and tidy TODO list per user (no need to go through zillion tickets to figure out what I should do next and what is the prio for the next ticket)
- high level reporting

Without these features, Trello had become unusable for our use cases.

We have great faith in Hansoft as a company and we believe they will take Favro to be the next balanced PM tool which suits both lightweight as well as heavyweight process oriented teams.

Customer support/success peeps have been so great that we can't really complain about anything there. They have worked at lightning speed to resolve feature requests, bug fixes and on-boarding!

Big thanks to Favro team and all the best for the future release! Keep up the great work.

Pros: Ease to use, drag and drop of cards, tasklists... there are so many features which are very handy for organizing project elements.

Cons: Sometimes when user has to use lower screensize / resolution his option to scroll across the row goes away ( could be due to non standard mouse ).
When you expand a section and then work on its cards and then minimize it, its location changes to some other place and then you have to find and scroll back to next item, this wastes a lot of user time, it would be helpful if the location of minimized item stays the same so he can just expand the next row and go over it.

Overall: Hi Team,

Favro definitely has been very helpful in keeping track of our projects and tasks.

It can do some improvements like when someone minimizes a row, it should keep track of the last working section and not scroll to something which I have experienced multiple times.

Secondly an option to enable a scroll to the row ( which can be enabled by user so if his OS is detecting the row size and then enabling scroll and not showing in case he is using non standard mouse )

Let me know if you have questions, feel free to reach me at my contact information below.

Pros: Better for a project with lots of collaboration

Cons: can't easily see cards that are just assigned to me besides in the single todo list view which I am not a fan off because it stacks everything i need to do and makes it hard to parse, is my todo blocked, in progress?

Overall: My company made the switch to Favro and it has been _fine_

The number one thing i miss about favor is the ability to filter just cards that were assigned to me. I understand that there is a todo list on the right side that lists thing assigned to me but I can't parse it as well as when I could see trello items assigned to me and which columns they were in. For a large project with lots of collaboration favro does seem better as things can belong to multiple categories and multiple people can complete there portion of the task at once. Mainly I just wish I could use favro as usual and just hit a checkbox to see only cards that I am assigned to across the whole project.

Recommendations to other buyers: It seems to have a lot more overhead than Trello and I would never use it for a personal project over trello. Again Favro isn't bad just at times confuses me more

Cons: I swipe a lot daily, my thumb now hurts and I would like to use Siri to be able to give the app information.

Overall: We use this in our team, and first of all, why haven't this been around before? Its one of those things you didn't realise you need until you've tried it.
The design is nice, its easy to use and when I had a question I got an answer from support within the hour. I got no complaints!

Pros: The ease of use.

Cons: Power features are not available in the free plan.

Overall: I've been looking around for a new PM tool that easy adaptable by the team I'm representing. They've used Trello before and showing them Favro for the first time they immediately recognised themselves and saw the potential in Favro. We'll keep testing but so far very impressive!

Recommendations to other buyers: If you're looking for a easy solution that is not only powerful but free (if you don't need power features that is) this is the tool for you.

Pros: Easy to use without compromise on power and functionality. Very adaptable.

Cons: Public sharing and guest accounts are a little confusing at times.

Overall: Ive tried vasecamp, asana, trello and wrike plus many others, only to be frustrated by limitations. Favro has been fantastic at mapping to the way my team and I work. The apps and integrations allow for all the additional power we need and can be customised to suit each person. I love it!

Recommendations to other buyers: A definite must for teams of multiple diciplines.
