Most tools focus on agile for developers and they leave out design, admin, etc... But, Favro has a combination of good Github integration and flexibility to support other departments. We do everything in Favro. Cons More customization around grouping issues, dependencies, Github integration could be made better. But, it's one of the best out there. Better github bi-directional support. Basically anything that happens in Github and vice versa PRs could be related to issues and then close those issues when a PR is created. Wishlist stuff Increased workflow customization is needed. But, these are features that can happen over time and make a good product better. October 19, 2018 5.0 Out of all the various project tracking and planning solutions I'd say that it's the one I like best! There aren't any hurdles to add or remove cards and the amount of available intergrations makes it easy to implement it in whatever field you're in. Pros The ease of moving cards around; the UX really is designed to empower you to understand where you are in a project and what you've yet to do! Cons It took some time to get used to navigating the various menus, but at the end of the day once I got used to it it's great that most everything's at an arm's reach. Review Source Ben E. And I use it to remember what I am doing right now, and what comes next. And to not forget unrelated tasks, that is assigned to me while I am cought up in another assignment. Pros I like that my tasks are more visual, and I have a lot of options to organize. The customer support is really good and instant. Favro is constantly working on their features, witch of course has pros and cons - but I feel that they really listen to feedback. Cons I'm a single user, and I am sure I am not using the full potential of the system. I might need to take a day to research how to better setup my whole workspace. I sometimes have problems with english being my second language and that I don't know a whole lot about productivity systems. I wish I could get help with setting up the workflow. We tried it because we liked their other product (Hansoft) which is native, and expected that they would be creating a web-version of what they had or at least something that is feature comparable. Pros 1\. Great UI for KanBan based products 2. Concept of parent child hierarchies that are not limited to 3 or 4 levels (allows us to do great planning). However, this functionality is really tedious to use in the UI, unlike their Hansoft product. 3. Easy to update cards/add comments/add attachments 4. Multiple assignees to cards 5. Tasklist within cards Cons 1\. The parent-child hierarchy is nearly impossible to use due to UI design / usability problems 2. Searching and reporting is completely lacking. I wouldn't even call it mediocre, it's just not there. There is some "filtering" which is absolutely unusable for any large project. 3. If we could have chosen, the CS team could have stayed behind using kanban flow. Some improvements to the previous product but quite big minuses for the missing key features. Pros the backlogs in the tree mode are quite awesome. They give the possibility to minimise the backlogs to 'titles only' and then reserve room for the actual board. Cons Search works only for ticket titles and doesnt include the content of the ticket (Why oh why?) - very bad for searching that one ticket that you remember from few weeks ago. there is no feature for tickets that could be created for recurring tasks (same content, with e.g. tickboxes) & they could be scheduled to appear at any given time and have a fixed due date) - I like it the least that so many of my favourite features are missing coming from kanban flow Review Source Vincentas K. Pros We use Favro to manage one product with a small team, having made the switch from Trello when that product couldn't handle our card volume. It's good as organizational software goes. It's nice that you can link cards together. The ability to have multiple boards and backlogs within the space, and to categorize cards within a backlog, are major selling points over Trello. Cons It's very difficult to find cards. In Trello you can just do a search and it'll find you cards that have your search terms anywhere. In Favro you have to do an advanced search and look for your search team in individual fields (title, description, etc). This has definitely led to some resentment within our team because it's difficult to track things down. Pros Favro, while it has kind of a funny name, is the best PM I've found. Easy to use interface, but still allowing for a huge amount of customization. I love the card layout and am able to keep complex amounts of informations clean looking and well organized. Cons I wish the calendar view was directly editable for changing deadlines. Pros It gave a quick and easy way to create and mange the tasks of different teams, while at the same time being able to have teams collaborate and understand what all the other teams are working. The integration of the other software into Favro was also a benefit since we were already using some of them, and they seamlessly worked into the Favro backend. Cons In our line of work we share a lot of large files and it would have been nice if it had something that could have integrated into it that could have handled the large file sharing and also integrated into each individual task. Favro has some features that make it more desirable than its most famous competitors: duration of tasks, overview of a person's tasks over multiple boards, tracking of card age, two status of avatars (you can tag who is done on a card), etc. Really cool for team management when you grow to 5+ teams on 4+ sites and people working remotely! Cons Nothing bad for the moment, only a bit of an investment for a (non-American) startup budget. Customer support mark of 4 is like that only because we did not yet try it. Its interface is very easy to use at the user level, it only limits its functionality a bit. Cons In general terms it seems to me an excellent software but nevertheless has some cons at the moment of its functionality, among them is its difficulty to keep the pending works, this because in some occasions the alerts were not remembered in time, and it can only be work a certain amount of cards at a time. However, I think it can evolve and improve in the sense of solutions in the cloud, which would greatly facilitate its use and portability. And the swimlanes. It's like moving my backlog from sheet into a platform where I can just drag & drop each task to a board. The overall card & board UI are also nice, but it would be nice if we can also configure information shown on the card, so we can instantly know what's the card about without having to open it first. Cons I need a kind of gantt chart tools to support my work. Favro has timeline that is used only to see members workload overtime. I wish in the future there will be more of a gantt chart tools so I can have a more detailed timeline of each task. In general, the application helps us save time, and accordingly, money. Cons Unfortunately, there is no Russian localization in the application. In addition, Favro exists exclusively in the web version (although today it is already considered the norm) and because of this, in convenience of use is inferior to its competitors. Pros 1\. Having a customizable backlog in addition to Kanban boards for team members. 2. The estimation field helps us follow scrum/agile process. 3. The ability to tag members, setup workflow rules, card limits, and manage a checklist of tasks to complete that card. 4. Private To Do list Cons 1\. Would like a "Go To" link to be able to open the card in it's location (whether in a different collection, backlog or board). 2. A way to sort my backlog ( rearrange order by card title, board location, dates, estimation, tags, members, etc.) 3. Double-click to open attachments instead of downloading. 4. The option to add a card from a backlog to a specific columns on a Kanban board (Doing, Done, etc.) 5. Adding/Moving a backlog card to the bottom of the list instead of to the top of the first column. 6. Sync the order/prioritization of backlog cards with a column on the Kanban Board. Meaning, if I have prioritized cards in the backlog, to have that prioritization reflected in the Kanban column. 7. An option to remove tagged jobs from the private To Do list. 8. And it supports keyboard keys like "Esc" to close things, helps devs like me. Also, it shows a good message when the Internet is not connected or when there is some issue connecting to the server. And it's really good that it shows things in real time. It shows who is opening and working on which card and moves card around in real time if someone has moved it Cons Sometimes I have seen the app completely not working with some internal server error. It was really bad to see that.
