Pros

How many different things you can do in the tool: Annual Performance Reviews, Weekly 1:1s, give kudos/recognition to coworkers, and check-in questions for career goals/development! We've used lattice for 4+ years now and it continues to be our go-to tool for all of these reasons.

Cons

Learning to set up different things in Lattice is not as straightforward and easy. I spent a good amount of time trying to learn how to do custom questions and templates, so having easier guides or instructions in Lattice would be nice for the user.

This is now my second company as Head of HR using Lattice. The tool improves tremendously over time while maintaining the same look and no major learning curve with each "version" released. I'm also lucky to benefit from the Resources For Humans website and Slack channel they've created for HR professionals. I'm able to see reviews for things outside of Lattice like HRIS, ATS, and other opinions we look for. Having ~20k HR professionals at your fingertips even for non-Lattice users is so rare. The investment into HR resources really sets Lattice apart and shows they care about their customers (and non-customers too)! Lattice has worked hard to be a leader in HR tooling and it shows. As we demoed competitors, we continuously returned to Lattice as our preferred tool. We were eager to sign and begin our journey. We're now a year in and thriving with it.

Pros

I like the ease of use of Lattice and the UI/UX. I feel like it's a product everyone can easily navigate and learn. We can see more insights into how our team feels, performs, and functions. It's been a great tool for us. Our marketing team has stated that Lattice is a brand they look to as a leader in overall branding strategy, the look of the tool, and subsequent marketing collateral.

Cons

I don't think I like anything "least" but there's always room for improvement and new features. I think at times the product roadmap leans heavily into areas we aren't currently using or that fit us. That's the only small con I can call out, it's pretty smooth sailing. When there is a release on tools we're using, it's usually so beneficial and is exciting.

Reason for choosing Lattice

Lattice was all-encompassing and cared the most about our priorities and solving those. Our sales rep was extremely attentive and not pushing timelines that didn't align with us. It felt different with Lattice and we knew going into it they were most likely the best but a little higher cost. We found ourselves comparing all other tools vs Lattice and Lattice continued to be our front-runner.

As a smaller company, we sometimes find that certain data is unavailable in drill-downs, limiting the depth of our analysis. Additionally, we would love to see continued development in tying different components together to create more complete talent profiles. The platform’s comprehensive features are great, but more seamless integration would enhance our ability to get a holistic view of each employee. Despite these minor issues, Lattice remains a powerful tool for performance management and employee engagement.

Great! We love it and look forward to adding more functionality into Lattice especially focused on HRIS.

Pros

Goal management is easy. Performance management is fast and effective. 1:1 functionality is great. Grow module makes it easy to find what is next for our team members.

Cons

Some reporting aspects of OKRs. I have to export it into Excel and filter it to get the information I need. Feedback and recognition seem to be a bit more subdued than they could be. Challenges with different exchange rates broke our merit cycle. We had to calculate this outside of Lattice. I cannot wait to have group meeting functionality that mimics 1:1s.

Ease, price and success stories. Also the ability to connect with different platforms in our ecosystems a big plus.

Lattice's tool is great, customizable, and enables the business. Lattice also has REALLY STRONG customer service. I'm also a member of Lattice's Resources for Humans community, which is a fantastic asset of all things People Ops best practice sharing. Lattice's annual Resources for Humans virtual event is also TOP NOTCH.

It is a great tool, easy to use and simple to set up. The Lattice team is incredible and always available to help troubleshoot, set up and guide us whenever the need arises.

Pros

The survey feature is a great tool for our company. We use this to gain valuable insights into the sentiments of employees regularly over the year. We also make use of the reviews feature twice a year to conduct our performance feedback cycles. These are wonderful tools for managers who have all the previous feedback, 1:1s, updates and other data from Lattice at hand when completing their performance reviews.

Cons

I find the data quite difficult to navigate with certain features. Some of the analytics are really amazing, and the info we get from the surveys is really wonderful. However, when it comes to more intricate reporting Lattice doesn't make it easy to find the data I am looking for. For example, figuring out which managers have not yet completed their downwards reviews.

Lattice was a brilliant tool for us as a fast growing startup operationalising so many of the critical people operations initiatives. It is unfortunate that they didn't implement the HRIS quicker to stop us churning to consolidate our stack.

Pros

We chose Lattice because of the fantastic integration Lattice had with Slack. Lattice pulse surveys were delivered via slack making this extremely easy for employees to respond to and engagement. As soon as we implemented, our participation exploded and the team were thankful. Lattice UI/UX was brilliant and we also particularly liked their 1 on 1 feature powering high quality 1 on 1s across the business.

Cons

Unfortunately, Lattice was only performance management and we really wanted to consolidate our tools into a more vertically integrated stack. Lattice didn't have an HRIS capability at the time which meant we needed to continue using BambooHR and this added cost and complexity to our people stack at the time. They also had a very limited response capability to pulse which is something we really missed after moving from Officevibe.

### "Add Structure and Automation to your Performance Management"

The overall experience has been awesome and the software has taken a small internal desire to implement better goals tracking and a more automated approach to 1:1 and reviews in general and it's accomplished that and more almost by osmosis. Just having the software put us in a better position to implement a process for each. The software itself is extremely approachable and simple but allows for a ton of flexibility in implementation and use allowing it to serve as much more than a simple, once yearly applicated software driven proecss around performance reviews int he traditional sense.

Pros

The simplicity of use and flexibility in terms of custom use and application of different modules within the software. We approached this software with a process plan and goal structure in mind and Lattice was very resilient to it's implementation digitally as well as provided further insight into what better avenues there are and why. The Customer Sucess team is great with approaching additional product development endeavors through their support desk. Multiple times have been asked and seen functionality sought implemented in successive software updates

Cons

Need to create better functionality around dual management (having co-leads/co-managers of teams) and their ability to review and provide feedback. It's too common to not be supported. Implementation and onboarding of the system was definitely one of the better experiences we've had although there could be more common touchpoints after the first review process to ensure for optimization and process improvement. Things have been a bit more "set it and forget it" after being transitioned off our Onboarding Success Manager although the Customer Success team accessible from the Intercom system has been more than helpful in the absence.

Pros

Lattice is very intuitive in it's design of end employee use. When unrolling new products, leaders and employees are able to absorb navigation fairly quickly

Cons

There's a lot of features that seem to be built off of specific customization or backend architecture set up that doesn't quite connect seamlessly across platforms. For example, some permissions are easily created for the engagement platform that are not available in the Performance Platform. Or there are Feedback Prompts built into the system, but they are not customizable.

Overall, we've been using Lattice for 3+ years and have continued to renew each year. I do see them growing in the right direction.

Pros

I really like the 1:1 feature, Updates, and Performance Management features. These are pretty intuitive to get set up and have been really helpful across the company. I like the automations in data within Performance Management and Employee Surveys.

Cons

We tried to implement Grow and I found it confusing and hard to connect to our unique and smaller org. I also have a few small product ticks about easily downloading info or implementing a signing feature to performance reviews.

Cons

Based on feedback from managers not having an overview on 1:1 notes like you would in an excel document that can be beneficial when it comes time to review employee’s performance during EOY cycle.

My experience has been nothing short of amazing. At a previous job, we used Exxcel or paper/pencil. Having the ability to look backwards really motivates me to do better at my job each day.

Pros

Weekly tracking for my 1 on 1's and the ability to share when someone else does an amazing job. The integration with Slack is key as well.

Cons

It would be nice to track improvement over a specific period of time. You can get this information, but seeing it in a graph would be even better.

Lattice is a great tool, but some setting it up can be confusing and you really need managers to see the value in these features and buy in to get high utilization.

Pros

For performance management + employee engagement, their features are super helpful. Reviews, Feedback, 1:1s, and Grow offer a lot of great features to identify, record, and improve performance of each employee. All the features tie into one another so it's really comprehensive. The Engagement feature is great for administering surveys to gather feedback + build action plans, which you can do within the platform as well. They also just rolled out AI in their platform which is pretty cool.

Cons

Setting up the platform or trying to navigate it is at times confusing and not intuitive - for example, it requires a few extra clicks to get where you want to be, or if you want to change a specific option you may have to upload a spreadsheet instead of there just being a setting, etc. Not the end of the world but like I said can be confusing. It's also pricier than other options out there.

### "Solid Employee Engagement Platform"

The tool is very useful and we've had a chance to get things up and running very quickly. We've been bounced around a bit with account managers over the year which has been less than great. Additionally, our account team has not done a great job of providing meaningful quarterly checkins- the usage/adoption metrics they provide are awful which then makes any comparison we draw to our own usage useless. I would suggest working with our team to come up with appropriate adoption targets and then analyzing our actuals against goal for a more meaningful review process.

Pros

The system works well. We rarely see systems bugs and the modules seem to interconnect quite well. Our employees have adopted certain aspects of the tool readily- namely feedback, surveys, 1x1s, and reviews. I like that I can impersonate an employee so I'm able to see what they're seeing in order to provide helpful troubleshooting guidance. The customer support team is excellent.

Cons

Some aspects of the system are not intuitive and it takes multiple clicks to get to an area that shouldn't be buried. For example- a manager of managers who wants to view progress of their direct reports on review completion during the review cycle, really needs to dig to get to the right screen to view progress.

How easy it is to navigate and use. Easy to teach others.

Cons

That you cannot talk to anyone when you have an issue. It is hard to try and explain and issue in an email. Recently had to send 15 emails to get a situation fixed.

As an employee I feel indifferent about the platform and I am confused why we don't use an HR platform with integrated feedback function (probably because the HR platform we use doesn't provide the functionality Lattice provides?). I don't mind not using it but I don't hate it most of the time.

Pros

As an employee I have found Lattice to be performing ok for quarterly reviews that we conduct. The interface is easy enough for us to select reviewers, write reviews, and receive feedback. We used the built-in Peoplism survey to conduct an DEIB survey and the reporting is great. I found it easy to understand the results and drill down where needed.

Cons

1\. when I am on the homepage I am often lost in trying to understand where I am supposed to go to complete the task (though the recent update on the homepage for ongoing tasks helps a ton).2. It's probably just my employer, but I feel like we are not using Lattice to its full potential. The only things we ever use are the reviews, vibe surveys, pulse surveys, and very rarely custom surveys targeting specific topics. The feedback and OKR function are rarely touched and only recently did we start using 1-1s. 3. We want to be choosing the reviewers for our next review cycle at an ongoing basis, and the opening and closing windows do not facilitate this process.

I highly recommend lattice for an org of any size. For our org (under 200) it's taking away a lot of the manual work that we would have had to do without it. The implementation is relatively hands off, so it hasn't been too much of a strain on our small HR team.

Pros

The best thing we've experienced so far is the customer support. Best i've had had with an HR platform! Our dedicated support rep is available (with a back up) for as many demos or trainings as we need for our HR staff, leadership, or managers. They also have a chat feature for quick questions! As for the tool itself - really great performance management system. We also use their engagement survey function and Grow. Grow allows us to create competencies and career tracks across any teams, as well as pair our career development with continuous feedback conversations. This has added great value to our org, since this was cited as a missing feature of our previous performance reviews. We're super happy with how the feature has added value to our org and increased our employee engagement and satisfaction!

Cons

We preferred the engagement survey function in culture amp, but only slightly. Lattice does the trick, but is some functionality from culture amp that we miss (assessing how important certain factors are, better ability to sort departments within the system and not just as an integration/data flow from HRIS, customization, making changes after the survey out - to name a few.) The questions are very applicable though.

Pros

On the administrative side, the review cycle is easy to create. The steps are pretty straightforward and changes can easily be done. The tool is quite customizable. Reminders can be easily sent, re-opening, and closing the cycle as well. Our employees also find it really easy to use on the user side.

Cons

In different languages, we would need to be able to switch the language in french for the tool but this is not yet available

What I enjoy most about Lattice is the ability to automate things. As a smaller HR team, it is great to utilize a platform that can perform tasks and streamline them.

Cons

I don't have any complaints about Lattice thus far. It has been a great platform and addition to the business. The broader team also seems to feel the same.

Reason for choosing Lattice

We were not reviewing other products. Lattice was the only tool we looked at due to its good reputation in the market.
