September 27, 2019 3.0 We use Lattice for quarterly peer-to-peer reviews company-wide in our 50 person company. Use is straightforward, but tedious given the ultimate payoff. Pros A very intuitive interface. Next steps are always obvious, and I never find that I need to reach out for support, even when learning to use it in new ways. Cons Peer-to-peer performance reviews need to be used carefully and taken with a grain of salt, and I'm not sure that Lattice fully addresses this yet. Set-up, especially when the software is used repeatedly in the same way, could be more streamlined – it gets repetitive. I would prefer to see a feature with which supervisors could copy peer lists between employees or import all employees working in the same role simultaneously. Review Source AA Allie A. This is a great tool for this. Pros This is a really good tool to set and track the team's and company OKRs. It's a really good way to give Feedback. We can manage 1:1s and run performance Development Review cycles. It's really easy to use, clear, and great layout. Pros \- The user interface and experience are fairly good. It's easy for users to understand the flow required to take a specific action. - Review functionality enables individuals to requests and submit reviews from managers or peers - Goal tracking is helpful in that it acts as a historical archive for when an annual review takes place. Cons When reviewing other people, there is no mechanism for the reviewer to choose the fields / questions to comment on. In some cases, this lack of flexibility risks having the reviewer decline the review entirely. It really is impactful to know how they are feeling on a weekly basis. Additionally, the 1-1s recording ability is very useful to help make 1-1s more productive. Cons The goal setting. Using it for setting a goal is unwieldy and aggravating. I haven't learned how to set it for negative goals (I.e. keep x below y%). It might be possible but it is not straightforward. It aligned priorities and it let everyone in the company understand how are they helping to reach the overall business objective of the company. Pros The system is really good. The organizational chart is a great tool that the system uses. Also, everything is well organized and structured. The follow up e mails every week reminding you to update your goals are really helpful. Cons The app works really well. The only thing is they could integrate with some software so you can understand how much time does every specific OKR takes in terms of man hours. Pros I like how Lattice can be used as a tool for setting goals individually, as a team and as a company. One on one meetings with Lattice can be used to track discussion points from previous meetings and future targets. You can also recognize other company members for outstanding work. Cons We use the product for what it's designed for so I haven't found anything I like the least about it. They quickly take suggestions and roll them out into production. Capabilities are always expanding. They have recently rolled out a bunch of new reporting for managers which is super helpful. User interface is super easy. Lots of flexibility, clearly designed with the user in mind Cons Current reporting is limited, but improving. Furthermore, it is great for collecting feedback from employees that helps organisation to improve. Cons The user-interface is not the best as compared to other competitors in the market. Pros I love the feature where you can update daily, weekly, or monthly on your Lattice. Also, goal setting is great. It helps getting on-track with goals you create and you can provide any updates and progress you have made. Cons The small part of goal-setting. It doesn't suit my preferred ease of use. Though simple, the platform enables certain questions that can help the user give appropriate feedback either to his/her supervisors or people they manage. Pros Lattice was introduced just recently and it was pretty straightforward, you receive email notifications for your reviews and feedback. You can easily view your organization and it's respective hierarchy. Cons I was told implementation was a bit difficult though I wasn't involved in it. " March 21, 2018 4.0 Lattice is helping our company make performance reviews less daunting, as well as helping us completely revamp our performance management process since the software is so easy to use. Pros We love that we can add our Ways of Being (which our our company's values) in the system so that we can reinforce those within our performance management tool. We also like how easy the system is to use. It was easily adopted within the organization. They are also always making improvements to the system so we know the software will grow as our company grows. Cons There are some aspects that are not customizable (e.g. the review cycles) that would be nice to have more control over. I also wish you could have more than one manager attached to an employee. Pros Interface is nice and easy to navigate. Using mostly for kudos and performance review. Also like that in one place you can observe company anniversaries and birthdays. Pros Lattice is a good choice for managing internal surveys on company relevant topics. To assure privacy, the answers can be anonymized. Cons Lattice can be integrated with other applications such as Slack, which in general is a plus. Pros I like that it provided the tools to help our company run better performance reviews and provide feedback to the team. Our managers got engaged with it quickly and started to share valuable feedback so that we could build a stronger team. Cons We had some issues setting up automatic scheduling of one on ones. It got better later, but I find that it was too difficult for some of our less technical managers to use. The best part is the 1:1 agenda and the collaboration on it. Cons I would love to see where we can integrate the google calendar for 1:1 with the agenda and if the 1:1 gets rescheduled then it can reschedule in lattice automatically. Mostly we have used the integration into Slack, which has been really helpful. Reminders of upcoming 1:1 meetings, adding agenda items (which can be housed/managed in Lattice), praise/accolades, polling, etc. We (as users/employees) were nervous about adopting yet another technology, but it's been easy to use and the integrations make it pretty painless to adopt. Cons The privacy settings on meeting notes or employee feedback was somewhat of a concern, as an employee. Depending on how HR and administration sets the privacy, a number of levels above me could see the notes and feedback from my own supervisor. As far as I know, the employee does not set the privacy settings, but rather the HR or admin does. This could be how our own instance is set up, but it has been a concern.
