Pros Lattice has been a great tool to help manage the team, have effective communication as a group, and individually, conduct performance reviews, and give the team a greater sense that the company truly cares about their development as employees. Cons I think the thing that is most challenging about Lattice is that many of the feature are great, but the pricing for them outweighs the potential benefit given the size of our organization. I think it is a good way to organize your 1:1 meetings, and keep any feedback made my team members that is visible to both yourself and your manager. It is a really organized way to handed yearly reviews and archive the reviews previously received so you can continue to track your goals and your growth. Pros I like that peer reviews & self reviews are very organized and simple to navigate on this system .We are also able to ask our peers for feedback throughout the year so we can work on improving our team relations. We are also able to fill out a bi-weekly form saying how we are feeling and what we are working on that week so our supervisor knows if they should reach out to check in. Cons A con about Lattice is that it is difficult to attach your calendar on Lattice to your teams calendar. This causes issues when I have a 1:1 approaching but there is no appointment on my calendar made so sometimes I don't always catch the 1:1 meetings with my manager. Review Source RG Rajesh G. The platform is very intuitive, making it easy for both managers and employees to engage with the process. I also like the clear visibility into performance trends, which helps drive better conversations. The integrations with other tools save time, and the customization options mean we can tailor surveys and reviews to our exact needs Cons Some areas can feel a little overwhelming at first, as there are many features to get familiar with. The reporting dashboards could be more flexible with customisation options, and occasionally navigation feels a bit clunky when switching between modules. They are able to leave notes or questions for our meetings and I can respond directly on the platform Pros I like being able to send or receive feedback. I like being able to schedule recurring meetings with direct reports and keep track of what we spoke about previously. Cons The options for talking points are not worded realistically. It allows managers and employees to manage the entire employee experience in one place. We have enjoyed implementing this for our company. Pros I love that all parts of employee engagment are tied up in one fairly easy to use platform. From engagement surveys, to 360 feedback, performance management, one on ones, employee recognition, goals/OKRs, and employee growth plans. Lattice is able to fit all of these into one platform which makes employees, managers, and executives jobs simpler to manage! Cons The interface is not always intuitive to use. Employees are constantly asking how to get places or how to do certain things. As an administrator I am often left unsure how to tell employees how to do things as they show up differently on the admin dashboard from the employee dashboard. The analytics on pulse surveys is not great either. It makes actionable steps from feedback difficult to find. I love seeing the feedback I received, and I also appreciate the exceptional work my colleagues do and that's a way of spending a few minutes and shouting out the good things they have done. Pros I'm gonna be honest and say that the best feature offered by Lattice by far is the feedback that you can provide and receive. Depending on your team and your own performance, you can end up having a library of impressive feedbacks showing your commitment to your work or to your team. It is a great way of building up morale and also it is easier to get a pay rise when you have literally hundreds of good feedbacks about your work ethics. Cons Lattice tries to do a little bit of everything and sometimes it comes short. For instance, after a review with my manager, the platform try to create a checklist of everything that has been discussed and prepares that for the next week. CEO Computer Software Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Better than nothing with a lot to be desired" June 20, 2024 4.0 Pros Having a central place to manage 1:1s and performance reviews is an improvement to managing those functions in a more ad hoc manner (i.e. in documents, note taking apps, etc.) Cons 1) The ability to sync action items from 1:1s or goals to other task management applications. Not being able to do so creates duplicate system management issues to have a consolidated to-do list. 2) The ability document ad hoc meetings in addition to recurring 1:1s, using the 1:1 template and functionality. 3) The ability to more easily manage OKRs, including the ability to sort and make bulk updates. They are always willing to hear product feedback, accept ideas and help to advise on your strategy. I truly look to the Lattice team as an extension of my own - they are true partners and the gold standard when it comes to customer service. Pros With Lattice, not only is the platform great as a full "people success" suite of tools, but it is easy to use and easy to implement and enhance thanks to Lattice's fantastic team of client support (tech support, implementation consultants, customer success reps, etc...). From our perspective, we initially purchased Lattice as a solution to a manual and broken performance management process, but what we got was so much more than that. Now, we are using the tool to help manage and scale our compensation structure and practices across our organization and enhance our bonus payout process using Compensation Cycles. We are also developing comprehensive career pathing tools to help our employees better understand what their career trajectory could look like with us. That alone has helped us improve our people success strategy by lightyears and we are still barely scratching the surface of this tool's true impact and capability. Cons Two things - 1. It is not cheap (but with that, you get what you pay for and this tool is worth every penny) and 2. It is very customizable and has a ton of capabilities - so don't go into it without a basic understanding/strategy of how you will use the tools (do this to help maximize your user adoption, spend and overall value) Reason for choosing Lattice More robust tool options outside of just performance management. June 11, 2024 4.0 I've only been at my company for a short while, but I implemented Lattice in an old role 4 or 5 years ago. It's been incredible to watch the journey of product development and growth over the years. In general, I've had a really easy time getting help or support where I need it. Pros Lattice sits at the center of many of our management practices. We leverage the Updates feature to create valuable time in 1:1s, which we also manage in Lattice. We also use their Goal and Growth modules to manage OKRs and Individual Development Plans, respectively, allowing us to track and drive conversations between managers and teams. This also creates a ton of transparency for us as an organization. Cons Some of the survey and review administration can be less than intuitive to find or implement. Pros 1) Usability: Easy to use for both admin and users. 2) Feedback and Improvement: Unlike some companies where feedback goes into a black hole in the universe, Lattice takes client feedback seriously, and we've seen our input applied to improve and enhance all products. Customer service is also excellent. 3) Customer Service: Although it is a ticketing system, all Livechat Agents and the Customer Care email team are responsive and knowledgeable. They even follow-up to make sure your questions are adequately addressed. 4) User Interface: Easy to navigate Cons We were promised a roll-out for one of the products, but it never happened due to a reorg. Previously we were using different systems for tracking, survey, and performance reviews. With Lattice we're able to move all of those things into one system. Video Editor Media Production Used the software for: 1-2 years ### "Great Tool for Company Performance Reviews" June 22, 2021 5.0 It seems there are several useful tools available to both supervisors and direct reports on Lattice, but it's unclear, at least at first glance, exactly what all these tools are, or how to best use them. Because of this, my company mainly only uses Lattice for performance review purposes. Perhaps more time spent watching tutorial videos could help us to better understand the other uses for Lattice, but I can't say the product as is fosters an immediate understanding of the full capability of the software. Pros Lattice is an excellent tool when it comes to issuing and completing performance reviews within a given company. Within my company specifically, department heads and supervisors are able to easily issue a set of questions to their direct reports with ease, choosing either a written or number-based response option for each question. Past performance reviews are saved within the system and available to both the supervisor and the direct report, in order to reflect back on past performance reviews and track growth. And there is a "Weekly Update" feature, which prompts you to reflect on your week. This is especially useful when filling out performance reviews, as the weekly updates you've written throughout the past months or year give you a more detailed summary of your performance over a large span of time. Cons The user interface is a bit confusing, in that it's not immediately clear what each tab on the Web sidebar does, or what information it contains. When you navigate to the "People" tab, you're able to view individual people, teams, and the full company, as well as milestones, company updates, and OKRs. But there is also another separate tab for OKRs available in the sidebar. The organization of the interface seems that it could certainly be a bit more streamlined, and clear, and perhaps explanations of what each tab is for and how to use it could enable users to better utilize its tools. They continue to make great improvements and the tools keeps getting better and better! The performance review process is great and very customizable. The engagement survey's provide us with really great feedback and insights. We are also really looking forward to the implementing of Lattice Grow to help provide career pathing for our employees. Pros Lattice makes managing various aspects of the performance management process. Engagement survey's are easy to create and they provide us with really great insights into the pulse of our organization. Cons I am looking forward to product improvements around managing OKRs specifically reporting on them. There isn't an easy way to provide an overview of the OKRs as a whole when reviewing in a meeting. Reason for choosing Lattice We were looking for a product that supported OKRs and Lattice did a really good job of this.
