Cons

Some functionality cannot be changed and it drives me nuts. Some things not easy for the user to navigate.

Pros

We like that it's a fairly simple implementation and that it's easy for our end users. Also, it really reinforces the lifecycle of an employee (from hire to retire) - a one-stop shop if you will.

Cons

I think Cornerstone OnDemand does a great job of hitting the big picture items, but there seems to be a lot of little things that if they were fixed/changed, would make life easier for all their users. For example, consistency on where a Submit button is on each screen would be a huge win even though it seems like a small fix.

Pros

The amount of data it can store and the back end reporting capabilities.

Cons

There are too many limitations to what you can and cannot do. Our firm has a hard time developing programs within the LMS because of the restrictions we get with posting content, searching for items, and making changes to the canned content they make available.

It has been at least 2 years since I have used CSOD ATS software, so many things/updates/releases have occurred. During the implementation of CSOD ATS, the company that I was implementing for was pleased overall, however, there were a few issues that was due to the immaturity of the product. In particular, issues were around location OU hierarchy that was built into the system. Since the company was on CSOD LMS globally, their OU location hierarchy had a global list of locations, however, ATS was only being released in the US, and since the clouds are integrated, the organizational structures that were in place for the LMS were the same as in ATS. This was a particular downside for this organization, however, it could also be a plus for other organizations to be able to utilize 1 data set across cloud platforms.

Pros

Our CSM's have been great to work with. They have all been very responsive and are great about following up with questions we pose during calls. Overall Global Support has been helpful, but there was an issue with receiving a call back due to long wait times. It takes time to learn the product, but once you do it is pretty easty to use.

Cons

There can be a lack of flexibility with the product. I feel many new features just miss the mark of being great and truly effective.

The system has a ton of capabilities and you can configure just about anything. The vendor is very active with their clients and it seems they are trying hard to keep them informed and involved in the direction of the product.

Cons

The system can be confusing and is sometimes challenging to find what you need. The vendor does have some processes that could be streamlined to provide faster turn around when issues are being worked.

I really enjoy how easy it is to use.. i am not very computer savvy but it is very easy to follow and their customer service is top-notch! The training modules are very well done and put together but not to overwhelming to those not very savvy with their computers.

Cons

I don't have anything bad to say about the vendor or product, I was thoroughly pleased.

Pros

We are changing from our present LMS to Cornerstone. Our old system didn't have the capabilities Cornerstone seems to offer. We are just getting started with them and already we can see how much better our LMS will be because of the detailed way managers, admins, learners, etc. can be set up to manage their groups. We really like that classes can be associated with the positions and roles in the company. In our old system everyone could see every class which caused confusion at times.

Cons

The system has many moving parts and at first look can overwhelm administrators and managers. The support team has trouble getting down to this level when explaining the system.

Pros

I can upload a variety of different file types, from SCORM to MS Office to Adobe. Their online support is always fantastic as well.

Cons

Our biggest issue came from the users who had to complete their training, but the internet connection in their stores was weak and wouldn't allow them to launch the module. This was never Cornerstone's fault, but they did everything they could to identify the issue and help us through it.

Pros

Cornerstone is very organized and prepared. I contacted them through a recommendation and they were quick to respond. They have a large team of support from sales to implementation to on-going customer support. I am at the beginning of my design project, so I haven't worked yet with the entire implementation team. However, all my questions and concerns have been addressed quickly and to my satisfaction.

Cons

There is a steep learning curve for how to use the product. They provided a sandbox for me to experiment with and I found it difficult to figure things out on my own.

Over time we probably will get a better idea of how to use all the functionality but we really did just start the deployment

Pros

They were very price competitive and gave a great demonstration of their product which had to be repeated for our management team.

Cons

I do sense that it may be difficult for us to dedicate resources to hold up on our end of the tasks. It is not a turn-key service and we have to create a position in the company to oversee deployment and maintenance of our program. But that is to be expected.

I was tasked with learning Cornerstone quickly and with little to no guidance from the previous administrator. With assistance from our contact Leigh H. and vast the information available in the success page I was able to get a firm grasp on how to use this program to serve my organization.

Cons

There does not seem to be much room available to alter the themes or outlook of the program. You do have the ability to add existing widgets on the employee landing page.

We purchased Cornerstone to be our LMS of choice, we are a 250 strong company. From the moment it was sold and the invoice paid we heard almost nothing. We were offered no implementation support, no advice on how to set up. We were given no customer success manager and as such, we didn't use the product. When they sent a further invoice I advised I didn't want to continue to use it and heard absolutely nothing back. We just got shut off with no communication at all. The features were not all ready and very basic. I would not recommend using this company at all
