“So far so good”

OverallWe are going to solve the issue of our employee having different sign in information when they are first hire, on their start date, and after they leave. FIM(MIM) is going to allow us to create processes that will keep the security auditors happy.
ProsA very powerful tool for provisioning users and keeping them up to date. There is a nice browser interface for managing users if you choose to use it.
ConsIt has a steep learning curve starting out. Definitely recommend training before attempting to administer or implement.

“What is Forefront Identity Manager”

ProsUsers working in the domain environment can easily change their passwords if there is no limitation. However, this process requires logging in to Windows. That is, the current password must be known. Forefront Identitiy Manager software allows users to change passwords from a web interface or from a Windows logon screen. This way, the user can easily create a new password even if he forgets his existing password.
ConsThe initial configuration is a bit tricky, but it works fine when configured.

ProsGreat, it is one of the best companies with which I have had the pleasure of working, the services that I offer are very good and the best of all is that it is practical and simple, the company is responsible for solving any concerns that the client arrives to have. Excellent.
ConsI really do not have any complaints from Forefront Identity Manager, it was very attentive, effective and fast. I'm happy to have worked with them. Without a doubt I recommend it to 101%

“Not the best solution on the market”

ProsIt does what it promises: this Microsoft product is an acceptable solution for company identity management.
ConsIt is a bit old and obsolate now, so it cannot provide that flexibility and unified operation what newer/improved concurrent products can.

“Excellent tool which provides us flexibility, because it can be easily integrated with others apps.”

ProsIt is very easy to use it, it is friendly and what we really like is that users are happy with it because it is easy to use it for them.
ConsAt this moment we haven't found something to complaint about this tool, as I have mentioned it has been easy for us to install it and work with it.

“Terrible Product”

OverallMy organization spent millions of dollars and thousands of man hours and ultimately scrapped the solution. This is after Microsoft "gave" us the product for free. The costs in consulting hours and lost effort was astounding.
ProsNothing, there is nothing that I like about Forefront Identity Manager.
ConsIt does not work. It does not do what it promises.
