Software Developer Lead Computer Software Used the software for: I used a free trial ### "I was looking for simple time tracking & reports, but it was built for a much more complicated experience." January 24, 2018 2.0 I just wanted a simple place to track my time on projects at work. I don't think this tool was built for my use case. Maybe the mobile app has a simpler interface, but I didn't get that far. After struggling to get some simple things working for a week, I transferred my hours manually to a spreadsheet. I heard from a few friends that it was a fantastic tool, but it must have been for a very different process. Pros The tutorial information was friendly and useful. The interface provided a lot of information for complex systems and corporate reporting. Cons Any time I clicked on a menu a new window appeared that I couldn't maximize or snap to grid. The time slider didn't snap to grid when I wanted it to. The manual time card had no way of re-ordering jobs. On the second week of manual timecard, I had to re-add all my jobs. Jobs can't be created on the fly (they have to be configured in the jobs area). I wanted a simple report of job hours over time, but couldn't find it or it doesn't exist. I tried scheduling my estimated job hours ahead of time and it didn't mark them as job worked. Review Source HK Hanoz K. March 19, 2018 3.0 Do the pros outweigh the cons? We THINK so. Pros We love the ease with which our technicians can import their time and switch between customers. They have not been resistant to the change because automating the system of submitting their times is great for them. Cons It is strange that when timesheets are approved for a given employee, any earlier hours that are not approved are also sent over to Quickbooks for that employee. Kind of negates the power of approving timesheets! Operation with Quickbooks is NOT smooth. Given that the name is "Tsheets by quickbooks", the problems should not so common with syncing with QB, problems between correct timesheets showing within QB but then being incorrect with Payroll. Sometimes we get a Tsheets customer rep who knows about the workings of QB and others who say, "Oh, I just know TSheets issues, not QB"... but it is "Tsheets by quickbooks! And really wish that mileage and expenses wasmore functionally of the system. We are having to do that part manually. Easy, straightforward and integrates into QuickBooks accounting too! Pros Great program that allows PM's to know realtime which staff are on site, which hours they work, and helps with employee accountability Cons There are some restrictions to the time app however its a straightforward program that you can certainly make work for any company. April 23, 2019 5.0 Solid product that needs a little work, not too bad. Pros I have been using this to submit time with my company and keep track of billable hours for clients. The interface is fairly easy to use. I can see my team's time sheets as well as my own and see visual indications when someone is running over. Cons The design is not very pretty and I usually have to click around a lot to find things. Overall it could use a little UI overhaul. She is quick to respond back to questions/issues and knows what she is doing. We had a conference call with her last Friday and she was so bubbly and a joy to work with. We really appreciate her help! Pros Saves SO much time, eliminating the need to manually enter information. This saves our employees and admin a bunch of headaches Cons I'm still learning how to use it so until I get over the learning curve it will be a con. Always on point. For technical issues, there's never any "let me forward this on to the tech team", it's always handled by the first person I talk with. Cons When correcting timesheets, you have to individually open, change and save each one. This can be cumbersome but isn't a major issue. Since we allow them to use their mobile device to log in, I LOVE the GPS feature so we know if they are punching in or our offsite. Pros User Friendly, nice interface, love that it syncs with QuickBooks payroll so it cuts payroll processing time in half. Cons The drop down selection in reporting is a little odd - I always have to use my cursor instead of using the mouse to view the options. Super minor - just takes getting used to. Pros I like that I can run reports and see breakdowns Cons I do not like the timecard format on the main screen, I wish it would show by pay period only instead of the long endless list. I also do not like the lunch break feature. When I click they must take lunch it automatically enters it on their timesheet at a given time and that is not always when they take lunch which then messes up their time card and double enters their job. When I was first using it, I kept forgetting to clock out every day and it was a super quick fix to delete the extra time I had accrued to my account. Cons I find the changing jobs a bit confusing. That's likely because it doesn't apply to my company so it's a little difficult to grasp. But I honestly have no fault with Tsheets. Review Source CP Cathy P. Pros It has a phone app so I can clock in/out via my phone. Gives me notifications when to clock out/in or to submit my time. My Time Card allows me to see the hours that I am on the clock. I generally like to express both good and opportunities for improvement to people. As an owner of a few companies I understand this is valuable and sometimes hard to get. In general I had such a HORRIBLE catastrophic attempted roll out of QB accountant, then a lack of follow up all topped off with an overbilling issue that has to this day never been corrected (I finally gave up as it is just not worth a $300 dollar refund) I was not going to use T sheets when I found out it was affiliated. A friend of mine uses it for his business and he talked me into trying it. When it comes down to it; its all about the people you have. I could expand, but for the sake of brevity I wont. Rep was such a pleasure to interact with and was so helpful I'm glad I took a shot. I wish I could give her 15 stars Pros Exact functionality that I was looking for Cons Can't think of anything.
