Pros The McAfee Endpoint Protection is a standard protection for enterprise Networks Very Neat, clean and minimal GUI, doesn't use too much resources at the agent side, Easy and fast detection of common malwares, Detects and protects data policy over the environment. Full disk encryption is the best feature I liked the most to prevent data theft at the ISO 27001 environments like ours. Cons Very weak antivirus solution, doesn’t detect advance malwares or custom signature malwares which are detected by other antivirus solutions. Was very easy to install and has a simply and clean interface. I fluctuate yearly with services like this so am always on the fence with what to do next! Pros In a nutshell it is date security 101 for the home computer. It does its job protecting and detecting and that is all I can ask of it! Although it is very "basic" on the whole, it does its job to keep the malicious intruders off your system. Cons Unfortunately I found this software to be VERY slow. Like noticeable computer slowdown slow. The cost isn't great either so I find that somewhat prohibitive in todays marketplace. The pricing is good , my personal opinion is either buy a security tool or don't use one at all. Don't use the free trials. This is a good tool totally recommended. Pros Well it does what it supposed to,protects my system form threats and attacks over the network. i have used a lot of security solutions over thew years and i find it adequate, nothing fancy does what it is supposed to do. It protects my systems keeps it clean and on the off chance something goes wrong it is able to rectify the situation effectively. It catches the viruses, informs you of them, and then removes them/quarantines them. You also get a web browser add-on that will inform you of bad/dangerous sites (or at least, the software I used does). It doesn't slow the computer down any more than the other software I've used and it's good for anyone from beginner to expert. I'd recommend it if you're looking for a good paid virus software. Pros It's a good software to use for a good price. It's easy to install and doesn't crash often, or at all. It catches 99% of the viruses that come through (nothing is 100%; there's always going to be something that slips through the cracks, if you aren't careful). Scans are easy to perform and doesn't require a lot of figuring out. Good for any user of any skill level. Cons It sometimes calls things a virus that isn't a virus. And restoring those things can be more than a simple click or two. Other than that, it's a good product. It is the best of its class. Pros Mcafee EPO/endpoint solutions works pretty well at catches viruses ,malware and trojans. My customers love it . Cons Mcafee endpoint solutions has two issues. The first is that it can be resource intensive. For example, it is a memory hog. The second, it can disrupt some normal computer activities like sending and receiving email or opening files. Easy management" May 17, 2019 5.0 McAfee ENS is a good product and superior compared with legacy McAfee VSE. Sometimes the protection against zero day malware is not so good (Just in case when using McAfee GTI thah analyze .exe, .pdf and .apk files); for email or office threats I feel like I'm not protected so I deeply recomment to use the module McAfee Adaptative Threat Protection with machine learning activated. In this last case the ENS is boosted and becomes perfect and light running in the system. Pros Managed by ePO the ENS is amazing product for large organizations and easy to manage. Modern and easy to see and get compliance for all environment. The engine and detection method are absurdly powerfull Cons Interface is fluent and user friendly although a bit slow navigating in the product settings. Pros It provides exhaustive protection against malware and online viruses at an end point protection software and after using it I felt the difference. It does not make the PCs on the network slower and is a single solution towards access management to pen drives, hard discs and external memory storage to ensure that only authorised devices get data from the company PCs. I recommend it for corporate use. Cons On PCs with less RAM, sometime PC gets slow, which I don't like. It is suggested to develop light version also. The system definition files should be updated a bit more frequently because the malware get created faster now. It does not consume alot of memory and the fact that it is locked down means that users can not accidentally go and break the settings. The drop down gives access to several features, including running an update immediately or scanning your whole drive or various parts of the drive. Actively stops malicious software, gives a convenient notification and puts in quarantine. Mostly runs on its own, just make sure your updates are current as new files are added often Cons System scan can take a long time if you run the entire computer, including back up drive. If you don't set to constantly check for updates, a brand new threat could get by the system. Pros There are certainly a lot of options for the user, McAfee offers excellent reporting capabilities and overall it's a great malware and virus protection. It is supported by Windows, Mac OS and Linux. There is a free 60-day trial available. The dashboard is pretty busy, including 25 overviews of various aspects of the product. Our team uses the Cloud Threat Detection option, which allows the customers to send .EXE and .PDF files to a cloud sandbox for detonation and analysis. Cons The mobile platforms are not supported.
