I Cons This software takes over your computer. It automatically restarts it and constantly updates to the point that it can be more annoying than an actual virus. The constant reminders and pop ups about McAfee are unnecessary. Especially with built in virus protection in computers today, this seems almost unnecessary to keep up to date. It is effectively a security guard for the data and personal information stored on your computer. I am not sure if it excels beyond the competition enough to be worth the difference in price, but it is good. Pros McAfee Endpoint Security will protect your computer from malware and cyber attacks. It is good software, and it offers a variety of features for safe web browsing, computer scans, and thorough protection of all devices that you own. Cons After receiving a year at a discounted rate because of a promotional offer, I decided to let my subscription to McAfee lapse and try another software. However, after my subscription lapsed, my computer slowed way down. When I de-installed McAfee, my computer sped up again.
