Also its really light on the pc processing so I wont have to worry about opening other software that demands a large amount of computer capacities,which I do all the time. Pros The whole interface is really intuitive if I want to set up something with the firewall option there is it, really easy to use, and the web protection is always working fine, just a few days ago it gave me a warning about this music website I was checking out, and it was running a BTC miner over my PC without my permission and it blocked it. I used to have other anti-virus software and whenever I visited such sites those antivirus never warned me about those things. I am sticking with Mcafee for a while due to those reasons. Cons Maybe the price can scare the user of not buying the full version, since there are emore accesible softwares nowadays, but apart from that, it's running just fine(and better) than most protection and antivirus software I used so far. It's not a favourite in the wider system protection category by any means but I've also not had enough experiences with the more highly esteemed offerings to really have those comparisons to make. However I can say, as a user, it feels reliable but a little inelegant and in the workplace this is reassuring enough to be worth it. Pros McAfee does what it intends to do: it protects your system. It is also very clear when it finds threats and by all accounts deals with these well as well as making administration of the whole system relatively painfree (I'm a user rather than a system admin). I like that the presentation of threat detection is not the on-screen equivalent of a Klaxon going off that happens with other offerings. Cons It is incredibly obtrusive and McAfee seems to have gone the way of Norton in terms of overprotective false positives. These are not quite at the same level and I prefer it to Norton as a user. Similarly when we shifted to McAfee I felt that background resource use was not as significant although my tasks had also shifted at the time, making comparison difficult. I understand they have many partnerships and other companies probably get a kickback every time someone downloads their program with McAfee attached, but it's annoying. They send you constant messages to upgrade, the system will start 'cleaning your files' but then stop to tell you about purchasing another product from their company to actually solve the problem. Pros Not much...it provides a modicum of security for those that do not have any other options. It works as a basic security platform. Cons I do not like how this 'free' program continues to hijack my system...it worms its way into so many programs through the free download like a parasite. Whenever we download or purchase a program, you have to be vigilant to unclick the box that says McAfee. It has a very low annual subscription fee for desktops, while is available free for IOS and Android systems. Pros I honestly hate everything about this software. My work computer constantly got viruses and was slowed down constantly which was irritating when trying to complete work tasks. I used to joke with my co-worker that McAfee gave my computer the viruses instead of protecting it from viruses. Cons It doesn't protect the user's computer from viruses at all. I believe it actually gives your computer viruses. I would recommend someone buy an apple computer where security is constantly monitored so that you don't have to worry about your computer getting viruses. Because the free programs weren't cutting it,  I upgraded to McAfee's Endpoint Security system. They have a wide range of products, including iOS, Android, Windows, Mac, and Linux. You can secure all of the devices on your network. The Endpoint differs it has improved detection and correction capabilities that allow it to change security controls in Windows 10. When McAfee detects a threat, it alerts me right away, and I set up preset steps for when that happens. Cons McAfee's Endpoint Security, as you might assume, is not cheap. It is entirely dependent on your company's demands, and I recommend speaking with a member of their sales team to identify which features you require. They personalize the software so that you can feel comfortable that all security flaws will be addressed. I did have a couple of challenges contacts with customer service. It has protected my files from being accessed by intruders who may be having an ill motive to interfere with the information. My work involves a lot of research in opening malicious files and spam emails when am looking for various information. This tool protects my computer from viruses that may damage the stored files. The firewall protection protects the collected data from being accessed by the online hackers. It has real time scanning functionality that keeps on running underground protecting the gadget from malicious viruses when am browsing. Pros Me agradó sobremanera lo fácil de manejar y de integrar el producto con la red de servidores y las estaciones de trabajo de la organización. Así como también los productos que despliega dicha plataforma, tales como el DLP, el Encryption, el Endpoint, los cuales me permiten tener los equipos de mi organización siempre actualizados a nivel de seguridad. Cons Para mi no fue difícil la integración de la aplicación de McAfee con el Active Directory. Me bastó familiarizarme con su entorno gráfico y las características que ofrece cada menú para en par de dias interactuar con dicha plataforma en lo que concierne a las tareas asignadas. Lo que menos me ha agradado hasta el momento del software ha sido, que en una ocasión tuve que retirarle el Encryption a un equipo y tuve que esperar dos dias para que el cambio surgiera efecto en el dispositivo. It also helps me protect my data through real time scanning and firewall security measures. There are also frequent updates to this software for improvements or new features. It is one of the best antivirus and antispyware applications. Need to buy subscriptions per PC annually and works really great. Gives decent reporting about the areas scanned, infected or any issues detected. It also provides option to quarantine viruses and malwares. One of the best useful feature is the schedule scan, which helps me schedule a scan on daily or weekly basis for enhanced security, keeping the computer safe and working super fast. Scanning different areas on the hard drive doesn't slow down the performance too. Cons Not very efficient for malware removal, but serves the purpose of virus and trojans. Removes infected files instantly before warning, at times difficult to recover the files without infection. The product is sufficiently simple to use, its centralization allows clients to forget its presence even if the antivirus continues to work in the background trying to block files with malicious behavior before they can spread. The positive aspect of a centralized antivirus is the ability to let you perform analyzes on single files or folders on request. Cons In general, I think it is a good antivirus, even if its presence sometimes degrades the performance of your computer when it comes to carrying out a complete analysis of the disk, in this case I suggest scheduling the analyzes when the computers are not in use. We have been using it for years and it has done a great job of protecting our servers. Pros We use McAfee Endpoint Security to protect our IT department as well as a few other departments in our company. It does a great job of detecting and protecting us from malware and viruses. The initial set up was relatively pain free compared to other implementations that we have done. Cons One thing we really dislike about McAfee Endpoint Security is that it makes itself very visible. For one, it can slow down computers while handling large tasks. It constantly pops up and requires updates. McAfee can scan your attachments before sending your email to the recepients. Cons The most annoying thing about McAfee is its resource usage. It hits your hardware really hard when it scans for viruses. it is very active in the background and the most reseoursec that it uses is RAM, so even on high end machines with core i7, 8 GBs RAM it knows to slow your PC from time to time especialy at boot times and after boot. Pros We have a variety of computers, old and new, with an employee base to match. Knowing there is a need for system protection to ensure that we do not get viruses, hacks, or other malware on our system is crucial to keep us running. McAfee keeps us secure at all times, and generally, has little to no impact on our ability to keep going. From deployment to monitoring, they really have us covered well. Cons This occasionally will have errors with common online programs (chrome, adobe, etc..) where we lose access to software until a patch is put out. Pros It is simple to move, has several purposes and compatibility. I use in 3 notebooks in my house and 2 more android phones. On android it does not consume so much battery, its great, I never had problems with locking and I use the True Key a lot. On computers I have been using it for over 3 years and will continue to use, mainly because the annuity is not so expensive and can be purchased for unlimited handsets. Cons when it is scanning it uses a lot of memory, mainly the computer, and if I am using some developer program or playing it is almost certain that I will have lags, however I can solve this by scheduling the scanning schedule.
