It comes pre-installed on our new computers and allows our users to put it through its paces for 6 months.

Cons

McAfee's interface is slow, it takes up too many resources and it doesn't catch all threats that come in via Outlook.

Cons

Pros

I like that I can feel somewhat protected from malware . I don't believe that any software is infallible. The scanning process does alert me to web pages that are suspicious. I stay away from them based on the referral from McAfee. I would recommend this software to others. A satisfied customer.

Cons

There isn't anything that I don't like about this software. I would recommend this product to others.

Pros

When we purchase a new computer, specific brands tend to pre-install McAfee for a 6-12 month period. We let McAfee stay on during this time as it's a software that is included on the computers.

Cons

When the license on the new computers expires at the end of either 6 or 12 months, we don't renew the subscription. McAfee's customer support doesn't make us feel as if they're looking after our best interests.

Cons

I stopped using McAfee as it took us a lot of space on my computer and I noticed the performance of my laptop went down especially when running computer scans.

Look for another solution.

Pros

There is not much good in this software, basically it is a VirusScan. One of the most important features is the possibility of disabling USB drives.

Cons

I tested this system a long time ago, it was very invasive, I had a virus that McAfee did not detect, my system showed alerts of being very infected, but this antivirus did not work for me. At the end I switched it for another.

The Outlook add-on slows the start-up of the program to the point where Outlook disables it, rendering it useless.

McAfee is being up and down since it was sold to Intel. Now that it is again an independent company, we hope to see changes and improvements on all McAfee products.
