This company has gone completely downhill — what was once a decent payment processor has turned into an absolute nightmare. Coming back to them was one of the worst business decisions we’ve made. Their so-called “support” is a joke — no phone number, no real people, just endless email silence or generic copy-paste nonsense when they finally bother to reply. After years of smooth operations with PayPal and Stripe and not a single dispute, FastSpring abruptly shut down our account without warning, explanation, or justification — just a vague message from their useless “risk” team that clearly has no clue what they’re doing. It’s beyond unprofessional; it’s infuriating. If you care about your business, your customers, or basic human communication, stay far away from this disaster of a company. Go with PayPal or Stripe — at least they treat you like a real person. FastSpring is nothing but an unresponsive, robotic mess with zero accountability. And no doubt they’ll respond to this review with their usual hollow apology to save face, but it’s far too late — the damage is done. Pros When we used this years ago it processed payments correctly without issue. However , now it does not process payments. Cons FastSpring.com was used years ago , but now they no longer process our payments and when we email them asking why they provide no reasoning. Its been almost 2 weeks while they get around to it I guess. Absolutely terrible. Pros Relatively low fees, there really wasnt much else to like. The onboarding process was slow, support is non-existent. Cons Their tools are primitive, documentation is rarely up to date, implementation takes in depth coding, worst of all, is 2 1/2 years in, fastspring just turns off the account one day because they need to verify our account even though they verified us when we started up. Zero warnings, zero requests for information, and now, over 10 days later and they still have not re-activated our account. Totally unacceptable, we have angry customers, new customers calling in confused why the site isnt working properly and we are just stuck while our "ticket" gets passed around IT purgatory. No support phone numbers, no one we can talk to, just a generic email you send your request to and hope. I expect better for all the money theyve taken from us. Worth mentioning is the global tax manageement integration, fast srping eliminated the need for lots of paperworks for us. Pros PCI-DSS compliance was paramount for our clients. Fastsrpring made it easy for our checkout pages to stay compliant without stress. Cons While I understand that the platform is fully focused on slving all finance related challenges. There were technical calls, requirements approvals, etc. We were given a demo of the service and its capabilities. The experience of using the product in our work has been exceptionally positive. Thank you to the developers for such an amazing service! Pros Excellent and easy-to-understand reports in the service. It's especially convenient to work with the Sales report and receive information about subscription payments. Additionally, statistics on failed payments and chargebacks are displayed conveniently. It just works. I can't say it is complicated in the initial setup. All the necessary testing options are available and they are easy to use. Overall great product with many options to set up your store and integrate with other platforms. Cons I don't have much to say here, except that maybe there is a bit of a learning curve to it if you have no background in setting up subscription-type billing.
