The platform rewards the time spent fine‑tuning lead times, days of stock, and forecasting models, and our implementation consultant was excellent in guiding us through the process. It also accommodated our more complex setup where transfers between two legal entities required both a purchase order and a corresponding sales order to flow between systems, and Inventory Planner provided the controls needed to ensure those orders were excluded from demand forecasting so they didn’t distort actual sales trends. Once configured, Inventory Planner effectively replaced Brightpearl’s limited forecasting tools and became our primary workflow for building purchase orders before pushing them into Brightpearl. Pros Inventory Planner offers highly granular forecasting tools that let you tailor algorithms, seasonality settings, stockout corrections, wholesale‑exclusion logic, and even per‑warehouse lead times at the product level, which makes it extremely powerful once you dial in the right parameters. Its integration with Brightpearl is flexible enough to support complex workflows—such as excluding intercompany transfers between different legal entities from forecasting—so the data stays clean, and once everything is configured, creating purchase orders in Inventory Planner and pushing them to Brightpearl becomes a smooth, reliable process. Cons When we initially used Inventory Planner for assemblies—a secondary feature—it had a couple of limitations with the Brightpearl integration: assemblies always picked component inventory using FIFO with no way to override location choice, and there was no simple way to break down an assembly without manual adjustments. Outside of assemblies, the platform’s depth does come with a learning curve, and while support eventually resolved a reproducible UI bug we reported, they only prioritized it after escalation. Replenishment tool makes this joyful. More over we have reduced overstock to the vast extent of our inventory and we are able to elimanate stock outs, given that the suppliers have no stock outs on their side. Support team is always available to help, which is a great reassurnace, especially when begining to use Inventory Planner. A plus in the business productivity scale, once you start using it, you can't do with out it! Pros Replenishment tools makes restocking almost instant. We have been using it since November 2020 and has become the ultimate everyday tool for us. Cons As all great tools you have to invest some time to get a hold of all each features. It has also allowed us to onboard new brands with confidence knowning we can expand without putting too much cash in slower moving inventory. Pros The implementation is very easy with almost a few clicks and your datat begins to pull through. It has allowed us to correctly forecast the stock required for the given lead time and days of stock which we require which has meant that our out of stock days on items has reduced dramatically and also allows us not to overstock. Cons The only issue that we have had is that sometimes the reports do not work out of the box so some configuration on the data is required in order to get the information that you require.
