Impressed by the functionality. I have not seen any advancements in features in the last few years. Pros The integration with Lightspeed Retail works very well and has made our stock ordering more time efficient and accurate. Using Inventory Planner allows us to see sales history for certain time periods such as 7 days, 30 days, 365 days (plus many other metrics such as Date last received, Created at) together with the Stock on hand in the same screen. This is vital for forecasting judgements. It seamlessly creates the PO in Lightspeed ready to be received when the goods arrive. I like being able to add special tags to products to help with background information for ordering and to make products Non Replenishable. Cons I would like a way to be able to flag in Inventory Planner when a product has been on sale or a special promotion, as this can skew the sales data markedly. I have not as yet gained confidence in Inventory Planner being able to prepare accurate Purchase Orders automatically. I would also like more fields to save customised information for each Vendor. Another improvement would be for PO's to be automatically deleted from Lightspeed when they are removed from Inventory Planner. Pros Clear & logical Layout. Intuitive - easy to navigate and find what you are looking for. The scheduled reports email function is very helpful. Syncs well with Brightpearl which we also use. Cons Can be slow to sync sometimes with Brightpearl. Pros Inventory Planner is easy to use with an easy learning curve onboarding is complete. Our customer support team \[sensitive content hidden\] have been wonderful to work with. Inventory Management has become nearly automatic with this program with their great Data Analysis with flow through rates per item & Replenishment/Purchase Order guidelines. Cons The Forecast does not currently allow for a month to month growth. This information needs to be manually calculated and updated. I would like to see automation to allow month over month growth. Inventory Planner has made those calls far more confident. The connectivity with our WMS is the foundation of it. Stock positions, inbound deliveries and sales data all flow through cleanly, so the buying recommendations are based on what's actually in the warehouse rather than a snapshot from last week. That single sync has saved us hours of reconciliation every month. What's kept us on it is how much you can tailor. Lead times, safety stock, seasonality, replenishment rules by brand and category — nothing is locked into someone else's idea of how our business should work. We've shaped the forecasting around our own buying cycles rather than the other way round. The customer support deserves a mention of its own. Responses are fast, come from people who clearly understand inventory planning rather than reading from a script, and they've helped us configure things properly rather than just closing tickets. That's rare. Highly recommended for any e-commerce business that's outgrown spreadsheets. Its replenishment recommendations help us identify products that may run out of stock and products where we may be holding too much inventory.
