Helps me keep track of my money" June 28, 2016 4.5 Pros Easy to enter/edit transactions and run thorough reports. I love how I can do invoices (customizable too) and receive payments for projects/services. Cons UI could be modernized a bit more but that's not a big deal. The biggest thing is probably that it doesn't have all the Canadian banks to sync transactions with so I've never used that function. However, they might have updated that on a later version already. Quicken is developed by Intuit who also makes QuickBooks. Cons Quicken Rental Property Manager is rather expensive compared to other similar products. Pros Very easy to use and good tracking abilities and easy to create and read reports. It connects to your bank so it is very easy to reconcile your accounts. Pros I have been using this software to track my personal investment. I use it for loan balances, investments and check accounts. The automatic update is superb. Pros It's fairly easy to use for folks with no accounting experience. You can track home expenditures easily and keep track of spending. April 4, 2018 5.0 I wouldn't track my finances with anything else. I have been using this since the early 90's Pros It keeps all my financial records in one place. If you can write a check and use a check register you can use this software Cons There is very little to dislike. It doesn't work well for other than simple business finances. If it isn't powerful enough there is always QuickBooks. They had great ways of measuring metrics in different ways (i,e. how much you spent in a specific category, tag, etc). Cons It's gotten worse since the 2016 edition. The software keeps freezing, and adding transactions to balance them with your online accounts doesn't always work out the way you want it to. I would suggest switching over to Mint.com if you want a similar, less complex platform. Review Source PM Pat M. The program should have been designed were you just purchase other than have a 2 year subscription. It's fairly intuitive and easy to use with a not-so-steep learning curve. Cons I've had some sync problems at times using my local credit union. One thing I especially like about Quicken is the quality of the reports that I am able to generate. Cons While Quicken is great, I wish it had a feature that would allow me to be able to log on to a web-based version so I could make simultaneous updates with my assistant manager. It can link to your accounts and automatically download transactions. Cons They moved some of the features I used regularly and it took me a while to figure it out. You can track multiple accounts including investments, predicting retirements, tracking budgets, and recommending solutions for financial goals. Cons A bit pricey. Also very time consuming.
