I thought that the rental property package would be reasonable too. It's not. It wasn't designed by anyone who has ever collected rent. It was designed by computer peeps who didn't understand how money is collected for rent. Cons It was the worst experience tracking rent owed and collected. I was better off with an excel spreadsheet. April 26, 2018 4.0 I get the benefit of seeing everything in one place, the ability to make projections and keep tabs on KPI, is also really nice. Pros I like the ability to link to multiple bank accounts and the quick update features pull pertinent information all into one place. It's also easy to create reports to check trends. Cons The software is comprehensive, I wish there was a quicker way to understand it all. However, the help feature included in the software is not the easiest to comb through. Read the version descriptions carefully to make sure you're not paying for features that don't apply to your financial situation. You may feel that it may take too long to read the documentation or do any online tutorials, but once you have Quicken set up correctly you will be pleased. I also use the tax planning features and integrate it with Turbo Tax. One doesn't need an accounting background to use this product and my household finances are not that complicated, but the reports are helpful and really helps with creating and managing a budget. Cons Software seems to have difficulty maintaining connectivity with accounts for downloading information directly into Quicken. Easy access of pulling reports for tax season is another plus! Cons Some features are confusing and have to be looked up on how to use. The invoice creating program could be more user friendly.
