Impressive cloud-based C.A.T. tool

Pros: I truly appreciate the balance between power and simplicity. Memsource offers all the pro features a translator requires in a distraction-free environment, so that one can concentrate on the text to be translated. Besides the Web Editor, the project management module is pretty straightforward.
Cons: I wish memsource would also be a full-fledged TMS and I also hope that they will improve the companion mobile app.
Overall: memsource allows us to manage easily huge multilingual projects while working in a user-friendly and clear environment.

Very fast and convenient for freelance translation needs, but lacking some important formats support

Pros: Works really fast - faster than all the other web CATs. Convenient hot keys for adding glossary terms and so on. Displays progress in words - very important. Nice and user-friendly interface in general.
Cons: TXML files are not supported - the most important thing that prevents me from using this CAT as my primary CAT. Has no option to create accounts for my clients inside my agency/freelance account. Paid version is pretty expensive.
Overall: A nice CAT-tool for a freelance translator, but lacking some important file types support and no option to create accounts for your clients.

Best Way to do Translation jobs Online

Likely Extremely
Likely
Pros: It is great for big translation projects since project manager can review all jobs from memsource hub. Also for translators it is very simple and basic to use and understand. What I like most about this software is ability to translate online through their web software.
Cons: Machine translation is not as good as google translate I think they should add more machine translation options. Also it is not very compatible with pdf files. In addition their web software not working smoothly on little old computers or laptops.
Overall: With memsource I can reach my translate jobs anywhere with internet connection also I can easily manage my big translation projects with this software.
More than just a translation tool

Pros: Memsource is a multi environment platform.
It has translation, project management and invoicing capabilities - all in one place!
Provides full control over projects due to the real time reports.
Cons: Frankly - nothing negative to say to this point, I've only had positive experience!

Reliable online CAT Tool!

Pros: Two main features ! First the fact that you can actually see the part of the file you are working on and the fact that you can work offline then update the project online !!! Unique and Amazing !!!
Cons: Sometimes uploading the project after working offline is challenging.
Very easy to use

Pros: It has many features but not so complicated as SDL Studio. It is could-based, so you can log in from any pcs with your account.
Cons: If the price can go down a little, that would be good.
Overall: I mainly used this as a PM, and it was easy to mange projects, translators, glossaries, TMs, etc.
Memsource Cloud is a helpful tool for new or experienced translators

Likely Extremely
Likely
Pros: I like how this software breaks down your document to be translated piece by piece, promoting accuracy as one can look over small details when looking at the entire document at once.
Cons: You need to enter a couple documents to build up your translation memory library first or it cannot help you that much with translations.
Overall: I have used this platform for projects in a translation class and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I hope to be able to use it in the future for freelance translation projects.

Thank you very much for your review, Victoria!
Filip from Memsource
Pros: Memsource is very easy to use and quite swift
Cons: Not enough features, cloud - with all its cons (and pros), terrible TM search
Overall: It is very refreshing that Memsource is not trying to persuade you that it is a revolutionary tool. Instead, it is rather accomplished CAT tool using some of the best features translators and companies might need for their work. However, cloud only solution has its cons - you can't be online all the time, sometimes you might have internet issues, sometimes they might have server issues... Nowadays the project turnarounds are very short - you have to deliver very quickly and if your only chance to deliver a project is using the third-party cloud tool (i.e. something you cannot control), you can get in trouble very easily...
On the other hand, if all goes well, it is very swift, and you can work well, but my biggest concern was searching in the TM, it doesn't work well, and I guess it has something to do with their search algorithm. Also, many translators (me included) do not use mouse when working, i.e. shortcuts have to be intuitive, similar to other CAT tools and you must be able to work without having to use your mouse... And it is not always possible with Memsource.
