April 17, 2018 5.0 Pros I like the ease of use and the fact it's not a memory hog. It always alerts me when something is wrong and it doesn't give me a bunch of false positives. Cons It isn't clear how to set up scans at first. The initial scans start on their own but it isn't real clear how to set them up after that. Support has been responsive and helpful. I felt like i got a Level 3 engineer right away. I didn't need to escalate up to someone who knew the answers, my first contact was capable. Their MSP licensing is easy to manage and billed daily which is great for a dynamic environment. Pros I chose ESET for my MSP business because the product offers not only anti-virus but network, web and email security as well. It manages to remain light on system resources while having a comprehensive feature set. So far performance has been excellent, both in system utilization and accuracy of action taken against attacks. ESET has a business friendly management suite that helps to configure and maintain a large number of endpoints. Cons Settings are configured as sets of policies, and applied to computers as members of groups. This can be powerful, but also complex. Sometimes knowing which policy is the controlling one is not obvious. Something like an effective net policy settings report would be helpful. Review Source NY Nazmi Y. Pros Dopo oltre 10 anni di utilizzo su un parco clienti decisamente vasto lo trovo tra i software di protezione meno invasivi del mercato, molto leggero ed efficiente allo stesso tempo. Non costa due lire come molta concorrenza ma offre decisamente una protezione completa e professionale. Mai un cliente l'ha sostituito per altro software. Cons Nulla. Il prezzo non è decisamente allineato alla "concorrenza" ma il prodotto è tutt'altra cosa. Risparmiare sulla protezione dei client e server non credo sia attività veramente conveniente. I did not notice any diminution in processing speed after installing the software and having it run background processes, unlike the competition. Pros ESET is still one of the quickest and low resource usage antivirus \\ firewall solutions that we've tested. If you're running in an enterprise then its ESET Remote Administrator Server tool allows you to easily push out installers, monitor and manage the application. For smaller configurations, there is a new cloud administrator platform which is a cut down version allowing management of a couple hundred devices. Cons Cloud management isn't the best as its reliant on more dated technology, being their ERA product but they're catching up. Pros ESET installation and its initial configuration are easy. Compared to other antivirus software that causes the PC to slow down, there are no adverse effects on the performance of ESET. Cons The virus definition updates sometimes have issues and have to do multiple retries. The scanning of individual file requires opening multiple directories. Review Source Rohan C. No effect on my system boot time, does the protection work very well and never slows down. Not just this, but the elegant user interface as well.
