Pros

Pendo gives my team insight into metrics that we would not be able to see without it. It really helps us determine adoption from our customers.

Cons

It can be a bit difficult to use at times but nothing that training cannot help.

Flexibility to slice and dice usage data with segments Easy to create basic banners and guides No license limits on number of users that can login to Pendo to view usage data and guides

Cons

No multi-language support for guides Segments are powerful but filtering is still difficult because you have to create and save segments for almost everything you want to filter on. I find myself creating basic segments, exporting the data to excel and doing more complex stuff there. API use/integrations are an additional charge

Overall this has been a great experience. I was quickly able to create guides and walkthoughs within our app that have really helped in onboarding new customers. I have also been able to track feature usage and use this info to help drive new features. One thing I really like about this is that Pendo tracks everything automatically. This allows me to retroactively get insights on features regardless of when I decide to track those features.

Pros

The best part of this software is that it allows me to create guides/walkthroughs and track features without requiring a development effort (other than the single snippet to set up Pendo). This has saved me a lot of time and resources.

Cons

My biggest complaint is that the interface for customizing the guide center is hard to use and there is limited information on how to customize this. Having said that, they just released a new interface for customizing the guide center. However it does not yet support all the features I need so I am unable to use it.

Pros

I love using Pendo guides any time we have an announcement or updates so that I can ensure our members are in the know in case they didn't see/read an email. Pendo is pretty easy to use once you learn it and I love the ability to segment your audience as well since we have different membership levels. There are also ways to track user behavior which definitely helps us when it comes to how we market to certain membership levels.

Cons

For the purposes I use it for, I haven't really experienced anything that I would change this far!

Pendo's biggest value to me is in its ability to provide me fast turn around of feature adoption. Even if what I'm measuring is precise, it is often enough to let me know if I need to rethink a feature or invest in development dollars to collect additional analytics by some other means.

Pros

Nearly immediate validation of key ideas. Sizzle, it's so easy, and it means I don't have to burn dev dollars on capturing new metrics. Pendo peeps in Raleigh, always a pleasure to interact with them.

Cons

Inability in identifying abandonment. Inability to apply multiple tags across one or more features. Reporting needs to be rethought.

Being able to easily navigate the data with a clear interface. I personally use guides and the resource center a lot and this has really helped with target coms to users using segments.

Cons

Guides are great, but more customization is always welcome (Although I appreciate this is possible with the custom sandbox, it's just a little more work)

It's a great tool for improving feature adoption and feature analysis. I think we'll utilize it more and realize additional benefits in the future.

Pros

Started seeing results improving feature adoption with help of Pendo. As a Product Manager, I've tried different tools and techniques in past, but Pendo showed the best results so far. It makes me happy.

Cons

I was stuck setting up the flows several times and couldn't figure it out until I reached out to support. A room for UX improvement!

The product is extremely user-friendly once you get the chance to dive into it, with plenty of helpful articles to help you get the most out of the product. For me I really enjoy the amount of exporting you can do within the software, allowing you to quickly show other teams within your company the information you have been analyzing.

Cons

I would love if they allowed paths to be exportable like they do tunnels.

Overall a great experience. Customer support is always there when you need them and the insight you gain from the data is invaluable.

Pros

Integration has been very easy and once it's up and running it's basically code-free, which means that it's easy to set-up onboarding guides without the need for our development team to get involved.

Cons

The reporting of the guide performance could go a little bit deeper, and the segmentation of guides could be improved for guide retargeting.

Pros

Does exactly what it says it does - great for tutorials and pushing users through the platform.

Cons

The reporting is really not user-friendly or organized well for the end user. You essentially have to export and do it yourself. The need to make sure you have a good design to make this platform work for you. Having used a platform like Appcues previously, I don't think i would choose Pendo (personally).

We're able to solve multiple business problems with Pendo. A couple examples are 1) guidance on how users navigate our site so that we can make the most effective changes in our upcoming site redesign, and 2) being able to do an NPS survey in-app so that we can start tracking our score over time.

Pros

I like that user data is tracked automatically, even if I haven't tagged it. This means that six months from now I can come up with a new question to answer, add the tags, and have all the historical information ready right away.

Cons

Some pages can be tough to tag when the matching rules aren't specific enough. It would be great to be able to exclude certain patterns so that pages can be distinct.

Pendo is a solid platform for any medium-enterprise company.

Pros

If you're in a medium to enterprise size organization, it's required. I've relied on Pendo for mobile products, as well as web applications and it's a solid investment every time.

Cons

Can be difficult to understand how mobile subscription works outside of your main web application. You would need a lot of support to make sure it's up and running on both, and tracking the right data.

Overall, we are still evaluating but are getting value from the analytics and the messaging features.

Pros

Pendo gives you a quick look at how your software is being used. One feature we like is the in-app messaging. Now, instead of relying on low email open rates, we can reach all logged in users.

Cons

The web and mobile versions are very different. The web is great but the mobile lacks some of the power features.

Pros

The use case of tagging pages to allow counting of my company's Data Platform pages has been tremendously helpful. The reporting feature is straight forward and I'm able to run any of my template reports in seconds.

Cons

NPS feature could use a bit of updating, but, to be fair, I believe the version I was using may have been in beta at the time.
