Pros

The amount of value that this software has delivered my organization is incredibly impressive. We have at least 5 internal organizations (marketing, support, product management, UI/UX, engineering) that have all benefited from this software.

Cons

So far I have nothing negative to say about this software over the 3 months that I've been using it.

Pros

I like that it empowers Product people and reduces dependency on developers

Cons

Tagging needs to support "has" CSS selector. This would be a HUGE help in improving tagging efficiency

Pros

Pendo is a great tool for looking at how your users are navigating your products. It gives you analytic insight to design and implement products your clients will not only like, but actually use. The addition of the in-product guides and NPS allow you to communicate with your users in a meaningful way without disrupting their normal workflow.

Cons

Feature reach but sometimes function poor. Work should be put in place for admin users to get more ease of use.

It's not always the easiest to use, and it hasn't always been able to do what we've wanted, but it has been very helpful on multiple occasions to be able to provide custom messaging based on the customer's needs for in-app messages. It's also a great way to highlight and train users on how to use new features.

Pros

Very customizable to provide in-app messaging, guides, walkthroughs etc. to all users, or specific types of users, and to have them triggered on a per company or per user basis, or when users perform a certain action. I like that we can add the messaging without having to go to engineering to hard code it into the page.

Cons

I'd like a bit more control over how many times it shows to a user and or when it shows. It currently can have a trigger of "first time the user logs in" etc, but I'd like to have the more flexibility to specify exactly how many times they see it. Example: User see's it \_\_\_ times with at least \_\_\_ days between exposures.

Cons

Honestly my company's operations team just needs to do a little more configuration. I feel the software has what is needed to get me the info I need.

I love how you can tag a feature to track its usage and see historical data as well.

Cons

NPS results cannot be adjusted, if someone mistakenly provides a detractor review there is no way to delete or adjust the number.

The tool allows me to segment my entire set of users across a number of dimensions, and even allows me to create my own.

Cons

There are a few features that are nonintuitive. It took some time to understand that a "blacklist" is actually a way of filtering users from the pendo results.

Cons

Pendo, at times, can be slow for big applications. This being said, there have been good improvements in this area recently.

I have been able to collect information about customers to help make product decisions and to troubleshoot. I have also been able to deliver updated informational guides to customers, whereas before we relied on emails that could easily be lost or outdated when referenced far in the future.

Pros

Pendo has so much data and is always giving new ways to evaluate it. Their guides tool helps us quickly and easily deliver information to our customers.

Cons

Feature-level tagging can be tricky if you do not have a more technicial background, but I am usually able to manage.

Pros

I started using the software after it was already implemented, and it wasn't very hard to pick up. We rely on it for a lot of Customer Success processes, such as Support Tickets, NPS Surveys, and more and I pull a lot of account data from Pendo.

Cons

Sometimes I cannot remember off of the top of my head where to find the data that I need, and I'll have to refer to my original notes when I was learning. I think the UX could be a little better, but I never feel completely lost.

Cons

Nothing I can think of at the moment. It's worked perfectly during the duration we have used it.

Overall, the customer support has been great! There have been few bugs that are not resolved in a timely manner, but they are small, so that is understandable.

Pros

The best part of Pendo is the ability to create funnels to see what steps are most commonly taken to get to to a location in the portal. Also being able to retro track after tagging features is awesome!

Cons

I have a hard time figuring out how to make groups. If there were quick how-to guides easily accessible, that would be great!

Excellent. It is meeting all our needs for tracking user behavior.

Pros

Tagging pages and features is straightforward and does not require IT support Customer support, when questions arise, is excellent. Everyone really tries to help. Reporting isn't overlying complex and fairly easy to manipulate

Cons

Reporting is also likely the con. Sometimes is difficult or impossible to get the view that I want without creating new reporting segments, etc.

Pendo provides great tooling for analyzing every aspect of how your customers use your product on almost every level. It also provides a great path for communicating to your clients through in-app help and new feature messaging without needing to code them directly into your own program.

Cons

Perhaps the only, current con of Pendo is their growth has left them understaffed to handle that growth. Hopefully, this adjusts.

as an engineers i didn't have to step in and customize stuff to give a good access to everyone else to it's informations. it shows a great deal of useful informations and can help your businness a lot in understanding what should your next stes be in your roadmap

tagging each page was a boring task. also it's weird how some data is extremely detailed and some other stuff is shown in a too simplicistic way

We switched to Pendo from Google Analytics and while I didn't deal much with Google Anayltics, the word is that Pendo has been much easier and allows for better tracking across our entire product.

Pros

The ease of tracking where most of the user traffic is and being able to track clicks The ease of collecting feedback about certain features in our product

Cons

Figuring out how to set things up is a little confusing.

Pros

I like that Pendo allows me to find real time insights to help drive discussions for the area of business I oversee. Without some of the details Pendo provides, I’d be less advantaged to drive results on my own.

Cons

You have to know just what to click and how to get the results if you’re going to be successful. Not overall a bad thing - but it does require some learning to see value.

Pros

From the minute you install Pendo it is tracking data. This allows you to view that data a year down the road. This is extremely helpful because as our product grows we need to be able to view info that wasn't as important when we first started. This allows us to view all that data that has been collected and see what our users have been doing. It is extremely powerful.

Cons

On the in-app messaging side they still have some areas they need to catch up to be as powerful as other companies, but they continue to update and enhance this side of the product.
