Pros

It stores what users do in your app. You can configure actions as well as define warnings that will be displayed as a popup in the app. Useful to communicate efficiently with your users.

Cons

The navigation in their dashboard to gather info about a user can be confusing. The is some learning curve.

Pros

The retroactive analytics feature is very useful to look back on features we forgot to tag. I also like how easy it is to deploy guides and tool tips.

Cons

This might just be a problem on our side, but tagging elements doesn't seem to work as well on single page apps. We're having issues with it catching clicks on certain elements.

Pros

Pendo has an amazing support team that provides any help needed. Pendo itself has provided us with the ability to see where our customers are spending most of their time on our platform. We are able to engage directly with our customers with Pendo Lightboxes.

Cons

Permissions need a bit of a revamp. And an increase in the number of dashboards you can create.

Pros

Very simple to use, impressive default charts/metrics with the option to dig deeper if you know what you are looking to get out of the product.

Cons

All issues with Pendo have been related to their support of old technology and old product architecture on our behalf.

Ties all of our data back to the customer. Allows us to learn what features are driving customer sentiment up or down, and gives us an immediate way to improve the on-boarding experience for new users.

Cons

There's a non-trivial amount of fiddling to get things to look and feel right with the guides.

Pendo is a great software to track and tag usage in your account.

Cons

Pendo doesn't make it easy to do advanced things like showing a guide on different pages in the app or tracking link clicks associated with a guide. There typically is a workaround that involves CSS or Javascript.

Cons

I haven't run into any issues with Pendo. I wasn't involved in the implementation, but since they have rolled it out to our team, it has been fantastic.

As a software trainer and an overall proponent for improving UX, there is a lot of value for making information more accessible, providing walkthrough guides for new users, and analyzing utilization rates across the product. In general, I have found Pendo to be a value add for our product, and I am excited to explore and integrate its features further into what we do.

Pros

The ability to engage users in the product with several different features is really ideal. Users don't have to leave the site to get information they need or information we want them to have/know.

Cons

I wish there were more details/instructions on how to build reports for analytics.

So far I've had positive experiences with Pendo and will continue to use it in the future.

Pros

What I like most about Pendo is it's functionality. You can track consumer usage, where they click, how often they visit specific pages, etc. and all sorts of other things. It's been a great tool to gather data in order to back product initiatives.

Cons

It can be tricky to get a hang of using Pendo at first because of all that it has to offer but there are plenty of help resources to guide you as you're getting started.

This is exactly what we needed to get started with our user onboarding and tracking analytics. They do things very well in both areas

Cons

The price, for being a small team a month is a rediculous starting price for something like pendo. I love the people we've worked with over there but with a company as large as this.

It collects the data necessary to see adoption of features in the system. It allows for easy creation of walkthroughs in the software.

Cons

It is not that user friendly, and we did not get a lot of help in the setup from Pendo. It's tough to aggregate the data in a way that's useful to our team.
