Hands down. On the other hand, this shouldn't stop you for using DM instead of Ahrefs - in the end it all falls down to how you do you things. Pros While we were launching our site on China, DM was the main tool for doing keyword research, as it's the only tool capable of doing precise keyword analysis. DM is the only tool that has partnership with Baidu itself. Analyzing SERP's was a breeze with DM, there's a lot of functionality for doing that, that we miss on Ahrefs. Cons DM is not as strong in link building as Ahrefs. Moreover, DM doesn't have such big resources for the US search market as Ahrefs does (Ahrefs has more clickstream data providers). Moreover, it sometimes gets hard to separate the difference between the lack of resources and the difference in algorithmic calculations when you see different numbers in the two tools, yet we tend to trust in Ahrefs more for the US market. Dragon Metrics offer tracking for keywords in Baidu which has been critical to the success of the campaign. Junior members of the team have found these tool easy to pick up and have successfully created new rank tracking campaigns unaided. Cons The in-tool translation features could be improved, however the team behind this tool seem to be making constant improvements.
