Without , we would need a team double our current size in order to do what we do. It gives us the tools to give a birds-eye view of all clients at once, allowing us to pinpoint problems as they arise and work in a strategy to fix it before it becomes a problem. Our company also uses it to onboard new clients, analyze their performance, and build a strategy around what is displayed. it offers custom reports that we use to show clients their progress, verifying our efforts to them. Pros gives you all the data you need to craft to evaluate competition and craft strategies to improve your SEO rankings. I like the competitor analysis tools, as it gives you an easy way to visualize what your keyword competitors are doing better than you. The reporting tools allow you to customize what is displayed, giving you the ability to white label reports before handing them off to clients. Cons The UI of the dashboard can be a bit overwhelming for a new user. As an SEO specialist working on client websites, I've used SEMrush when doing competitor research and analyzing site and content structure. SEMrush shows you the top organic landing pages of your competitors and the keywords that bring traffic - this allows you to quickly audit a new client and get a game plan together for building out new or adding content to existing landing pages. Pros is a must have for SEO agencies and internet marketers overall. The organic research section shows you very detailed data about you and your competitors - you can compare your keywords to theirs and get ideas about which keywords you're missing out on. Cons The tool is not perfectly exact - e.g. when viewing your own traffic and compare it to the actual traffic in Google Analytics, you would see discrepancies. This is because of the way that those estimates are generated - based on SERP rankings and not on actual Google Analytics data. Nonetheless, the graph is especially useful to catch trends for you and your competitors. Also, small-volume longtail keywords rarely show up in and there are certain niches where most of the traffic is coming from such keywords and the tool isn't particularly useful. Also, the multi user option is not what I imagined and needs better sharing and cross-user same functionalities. Pros The dashboard is a great place from which to manage our SEO performance. By pairing with other SEO tools we keep on top of our search rankings, identifying areas for improvement and monitoring our competitors. The domain overview is probably my favourite feature. Also, email updates on position changes and new links are handy too. Cons It took me a while to get used to using and there are other features offered by the likes of Ahrefs that aren't included.
