Being able to track your keywords over time, in different locations and on different devices is totally brilliant. Cons There's not a lot to dislike. The Social Media tool could be better in truth, connecting to the different accounts can be a bit of a pain. The improvement suggestions are really helpful and the explanation are clear too. The reports generated are neat and concise. This has become a daily tool to manage my SEO team. The Platform is awesome, Blog is super helpful, training and webinars are plentiful. Pros I love the Site Audit. It includes a site health grade, all the Errors/Warnings, and gives ideas on how to make improvements on the site. I also love love love the automated reporting! Cons honestly, the learning curve, there is soooo much to learn, that I wanted to jump in immediately and do all the things it is capable of doing, but I had to go slowly and learn each section. Not really a problem, just a mindset. With our work website and blog SEMrush together with a SEO Optimizer like Yoast SEO, has helped us map where we rank and what to do. Although, you will not immediately appear on page 1 of Google search, put some work in. Don't expect to see results fast. Pros I have achieved the most using SEMRush as compared to other tools. You have to spend some time learning the features as it is a little complex, but once you do, life is never the same again. Despite the complexity of operating, I say it is Semrush is a key tool for anyone who is working in online marketing. Cons In as much as I love the capability to save my keywords, there are very many keyword ideas. it is definitely a learning curve. The listing management tool also helps us find missing information that we can add. The site audit tool also helps us find out technical and on-page SEO errors which are really helpful. Also, the reporting tool provides us with a way to present reports to our clients with ease. Pros All of the features like tracking keywords rankings, site audit tools and backlinks checker are very useful. The listing management feature was also very unique and I found that very much useful. The content analysis tool also helps me create great content that is SEO friendly. Cons Nothing that I don't like. They are always updating new features which is very cool. This tool is so vast that there are many things you can do with it. At my work I implemented SEO guidelines for our copywriters using the copywriting tool, site audit let's me see things that need to be fixed on the site, toxic backlink program is great too. So many things you can get done within this robust program it's worth every penny. Cons Sometimes their site audit tool reads false errors and makes it hard to determine what's real or not. Cons Using SEMrush feels like drinking out of a firehose. There are so many options, so many ways to slice and dice keyword data that it at times is unhelpful to an inexperienced user. I love how simple the tool is to use and how it always ‘has my back’ with automated emails if something is wrong. Their content marketing is absolutely amazing- look at their blog and you’ll be lost for hours in learning new stuff. Pros I love how simple SEMRush is to use and how intuitive their UX is. I’ve used their topic research tool for clients and it has helped inform their entire content marketing strategy, from the calendar itself to the amount of paid/organic attention we give each piece of content. Their tool is always fast, loads quickly and is easy for novices to understand. Cons I’ve been using SEMRush for a while and don’t have any major gripes. I would say sometimes for niche terms the database doesn’t return anything, and their SEO rankings tool is usually spot on, but there are rare occasions they’re off by a few positions. If anyone is thinking to use them, then I will suggest to give them a try. Pros The website itself is great. I have been using Semrush and I love their service. What I like the most is the keyword tracking and traffic tracking. They send me email every week and show me the ranking of my keywords and the ranking of my websites and it's traffic with my competitor websites. Cons There is one thing I like the least which is their pricing model. I run 2 websites and their subscription price is high for me due to this I have 2 Semrush account where I have connect my 2 websites in individual account. Review Source Chad B. I also like that I can go to one place and get the information I'm looking for. And it is accurate. Pros SEMrush is probably the most full-featured SEM/SEO software on the market. I have tried several different ones but they all lacked certain pieces. To get all the features of SEMrush you have to have subscriptions to multiple pieces of software. Cons This much functionality doesn't come without some complexity. There are times where it is frustrating trying to figure out how to do something or get the results you are looking for. I am mainly using it for backlink research, keyword research, competitor research etc. Pros I think Semrush is the best marketing tool out there for any kinds of business. Like you can get keywords research, content marketing,long-tail keywords, competitor research, local SEO, PPC, amazon tool, impact hero and many more. My favourite feature is long-tail keywords research, research backlink and content marketing. Their content marketing feature helps you to create SEO- friendly content so you can rank high on google. Cons Price is really high even products are excellent. I check another marketing tool they have many similar features but at a low price compares to Semrush. Hope they will decrease their price in future. So upcoming marketer can use in their business. Also, there is no cancel option if you don't need it anymore. To cancel you have to message them. It's not the cheapest, and to get the best value, it's better to be on a paid plan, but they have the flexibility to allow you to upgrade to the paid version and downgrade if not in use. Customer support is also good. Pros Gives excellent information on domains and keywords, as a website developer it's possible to see if a particular website, whether one we own or a competitor, is performing well in terms of SEO. The free version gives a decent amount of information, but using the paid version gives far more. Cons The competitor traffic analysis is not very accurate. Even after SEMRush completed an update on their algorithm, it was still way off the mark, so not worth the money. Need to contact customer support to downgrade to free version from paid, but they are responsive to such requests.
