Pros SEMRush helps us tap into the wider world of SEO and keep up with changing trends, their ever evolving toolset surprises me on a weekly basis. The simple and automated reporting is perfect for keeping an eye on storm SERPs during high change periods and the Ideas section gives us new ways to improve our own site. Cons The keyword scaling is a little counter-inuititve, and the customer services a little pushy at times. Pros So much of my online marketing needs and analysis can be done right in SEMRush. It has incredible statistics and information available. I was skeptical about semrush since I've been using Uber suggest. But since NONE of my posts were ranking well with Uber suggest I decided to switch to semrush. I've done the free trial and have enough keywords to get my through for several months. I should be ranking by my 1 year mark thanks semrush! Then hopefully no can buy the full version! Pros Tons of keyword ideas, and their ranking ability is separated by easy, possible, hard and difficult. I love the ability to save my keywords to projects like post ideas. That way my post is pretty much outlined for keywords I can easily rank for. Cons There was definitely a learning curve to it! I had to hire an seo consultant to get my going. But then I got the system down and my posts are taking off! Switched from [Ubersuggest](https://www.capterra.com/p/229169/Ubersuggest/) I wasn't ranking. I looked at the keywords Uber suggest said we're "easy" and semrush said they were actually hard for difficult to rank for. So I am not sure who is right but time will tell! Review Source David O. I have also found that their YouTube channel and other educational materials are very helpful. Cons Some of the insights provided by the program can be found within other free products. I used to only pay for a month here and there when I needed it for a new client, but now I see how it can improve a lot more of what I do. Now my subscription is always active, and it pays for itself. Pros It's both comprehensive and easy to use at the same time. If I was only able to choose ONE tool, ONE platform to gather all my market research, competitive research, etc., this would be it. I'm able to do thorough baseline research for new clients and at the same time, I can do deep-dives on the competition. Semrush helps with just about every aspect of marketing. Cons Like most platforms, the data you get when you export is not formatted the same as when you see it in the platform. I wish there was more synchronicity so that I could more easily download information and present it to the client.
