It is a very helpful marketing tool. Pros Semrush provides a deep analysis of your competitors' marketing strategies and domain overview. It helps find out your organic and paid competitors, the keywords they are ranking on, and the search/ ads they are running. You can see all the data in particular locations. You can search the trending topics for content marketing which is very useful! Semrush's keyword research tools provide insights on search volume and competition of terms. I checked out the competitor's and I chose SEM Rush because of the better analytics and functionality. Pros The software covers EVERY aspect of a successful SEO campaign. There is a bit of a learning curve when initially starting with the software- but the customer service team couldn't have been more accommodating and helpful! Cons The learning curve! You also have to set up certain properties in several different areas (you have to connect the google analytics and search console for every tool- not terrible but a little annoying when you have multiple accounts). There is a lot in the product and if you know how to use it your websites can flourish. Pros SEM Rush is jam-packed with features but there are a few tools I tend to use most often. The Keyword Magic tool has a page that shows questions related to a keyword. This is very helpful when searching for ideas to build content. The SEO Content Template is also a great way to find "semantic" keywords related to a primary search term. These can be used to add services to Google Business Profile or perhaps tags and categories for blog posts, social media and YouTube. Cons The backlink analysis could be better on SEM Rush. I find it take a lot of time to weed through hundreds of links maybe to find one that I can use. The content marketing tool is really helpful for creating content that will rank well in Google. Overall, I think SEMRush is a great tool and I would definitely recommend it to others. Pros I love SEMRush! I've been using it for a little over a year now and I can't imagine my life without it. It's the perfect tool for SEO, competitive analysis, and content marketing. Pros My favorite feature of Semrush is being able to check up on competitors. I can easily and quickly see the keywords that other sites/blogs are ranking for, the pages that are getting the most search visitors, and the backlinks that are pointing to their sites. This is extremely valuable information that can be used in many different ways. Cons The biggest downside of Semrush, in my opinion, is the cost. It's worth the money if you're using several of the tools on a regular basis, but for a small business or individual blogger, it's often overkill. Not all of the tools are needed and the cost may be out of the budget. Reason for choosing Semrush I wouldn't say I've chosen Semrush over these tools. I use them all on and off at different times. They also provide you a traffic analysis of your website, so you can see, what page generated the visit most and what source works best to drive people there. August 26, 2020 4.0 Great tool, easy to use and would recommend to anyone looking to get data on a website's performance Pros I use SEMrush everyday and it really helps my company determine who to target and who to avoid. Since our software performs best for companies who produce quality web traffic, it is vital for us to know how well a website performs before we decide to reach out. Cons I don't know how accurate their numbers are, it seems that the numbers are very conservative so it is sometimes hard to get an exact picture of a website's performance. This likely isn't an exact science though and seems to be the case with other similar tools as well. SEMrush does seem more accurate than others I've used before.
