There were a million reports and even after unsubscribing because of the cost, I still pull up old reports for information to this day. The writing assistant was the main reason we signed up for the program and after a while, I did start to feel like I had learned all I could from that part; however, if we signed up again, it would be for the wealth of reporting and analytics we can get from the program. They are so useful. Pros So many tools and so many reports. There’s a wealth of information on Semrush, even if you have a free account. Cons The cost. It was quite expensive and for a tiny team, it was a bit cost prohibitive. This has been such a great tool for SEO work and I wish the pricing was more reasonable for small businesses. Pros I love the ease of use of the SEO tools. I love the information that it gives me all in a single dashboard. Cons The price point is hard. Pros If you're familiar with SEO it's very easy to use, as it's so popular there are a lot of helpful guides and blog posts to get the most out of the platform Cons Not too many cons, but each tool has their own strengths. Pros SEMRUSH provides comprehensive, generic data that makes competitor comparisons very straightforward. It is also easy to compare different country markets and gain valuable insights quickly. The traffic estimations are particularly useful and reliable. Cons The user experience can occasionally be a bit challenging, but this is a minor drawback overall. I also really appreciate the Competitors Discovery feature, which reveals the SEO approaches of similar organizations—perfect for identifying new players in the market. Cons It works well overall..I only wish that the customer service had more SEO experts on board. They do a great job at describing current features but not so much on consulting on SEO best practices. Cons Historically the way API units were bought/purchased was kind of clunky and required you to reach out to a person; they've since corrected that. Pros The fact that it has many useful features that its competitors do not offer (or do offer, but not quite the same with the helpfulness). These include the on-page SEO checker, log file analyzer, backlink analytics (especially the toxicity score of harmful links targeting your domain on this one is unique and helpful), backlink gap and the map rank tracker for Local SEO. Makes the life of an SEO so much easier when compared to similar tools. Cons The only downside of Semrush is its pricing. Especially if you are a freelance SEO like me. It is worth the investment but I think it may offer some discounts for one-person companies. Switched from [Ahrefs](https://www.capterra.com/p/176340/Ahrefs/) Because of the features that Semrush offers that Ahrefs don't. These are mainly the backlink analysis, on page SEO checker, and the log file analysis. Plus, I think the Site Audit feature of Semrush is more helpful. Review Source KV Kirsty V. I consistently utilize this and other resources to identify popular, searchable keywords that enhance online visibility for my website. Cons I can't think of any cons with Semrush at this time. I wish they improved certain aspects of the product and had a more generous entry tier, but all in all it's a good solution. Pros Solid software for both SEO and paid search. I use it for all sorts of things from backlink analysis and discovery to keyword research. Cons Pricing on additional seats have you pay for empty slots, unless you request your team to remove them, so you might have one user but pay for two. Also the usability of the software is not always the best, switching across different modules requires you to re-enter the domain you were analyzing. In general I would pick Ahrefs over Semrush, but Semrush has the advantage of being a bit cheaper, and more people are used to it, so I don't need to train my team on a new tool. I think it's great for most use cases, not a product I'm in love with, but definitely a solid solution.
