Cons It is seriously overwhelming at times, in terms of the information you can look at. Pros The SEO Writing Assistant has made my life at least 100 times easier. For a while, we didn't have a dedicated SEO/digital marketing specialist on our team, so the SEO Writing Assistant was my bread-and-butter. Somehow, a traditional writer like me was able to ensure our SEO game was on point with ease. It was definitely one of the easiest tools I've ever used. Cons It is hard to find certain things within the platform because it has so much and at first it can be tricky to navigate and find what you're looking for. It takes some practice and learning. It has worked flawlessly and only took a little time to get started. It's great. Pros SEMRush makes search engine marketing super easy for someone like me. I'm not all that familiar with links and code and whatnot, but SEMRush just gives me what I need to be sure that my site is showing up in search results. I couldn't ask for anything better. Cons SEMRush can sometimes get too technical for me. I know that it's all technical content, but making it simpler would make it a lot easier to understand and recommend to other people. It helped identify issues and problems at a higher level and offers the ability to drill down on that info. It took some time to learn, but there is a wealth of tools with the subscription. The ability to do audits is helpful. Cons It takes awhile to figure out all the option and things the subscription can do. It is easy to use and it is a great tool for every SEO and internet marketers. Pros SEMrush is a powerful and straightforward all-in-one SEO tool. For a Web Developer/ SEO like myself, a software should be easy and fast. Fortunately, SEMrush fits the bill. I liked its user interface, the color combinations and the easy to read font or text. There are a lot of useful features like domain overview, organic keyword research, backlinks analysis, traffic analysis etc., The Keyword Magic Tool feature is helpful if you want to a quick glance of whose ranking in the first page of Google. I also loved the Domain vs Domain feature, it allows me to quickly see the keywords of my competitors, their rankings and how my website fare with them. My overall experience using SEMrush is pretty awesome. I can work fast and with a single click of a button, I can see all the important SEO data that I need to see. Knowledge is power, and SEMRush definitely gives you the knowledge necessary to take action. Just be careful to not get caught in the weeds! Pros Where do I start? SEMRush is awesome! provides me with direct insight about not only our company's SEO progress, but also our PPC campaigns and social media tools as well (we aren't using the latter just yet, but I'm excited to give them a whirl!). The keyword analysis tool is spot-on, and I love being able to compare how we're ranking in comparison to our competitors in the blink of an eye. Another key item is the backlink tool. Being able to see the credible and non-credible sources linking to our website is vital, so then I can take action to disavow immediately. Cons It's definitely not for beginners - if you're new to the SEO world, I'd recommend starting with a less in-depth tool. Or just be prepared for a pretty steep learning curve and the time that goes into learning it! It's also pretty expensive, so while it provides a great amount of data and actionable insights, it can be out of reach for companies with a smaller budget. It's a great way to track keywords and the reporting tool is so useful for any clients that I take on. Cons The keywords don't really have a ranking as far as difficulty that makes sense. Yet you need to use it some time to learn how everything works and how the navigational flow is structured Pros It's a total package for all sorts of SEO and SEA analytics. It provides a complete overview of your own website but also from your competitors Cons The Social Media poster is nice to have, but lacks power and features. There are better tools out there to support this. The navigiational structure is something that for at least in the beginning is quite complex, there are so many buttons to click and to get you somewhere that its overwhelming. Helps me gain an edge on the competition for campaigns I run. Pros Not only do I help manage campaigns but finding red flags in prospect campaigns is a breeze with SEMRush. Gone are the days of "hey PPC can help your business sign up with us." Now most businesses have experience with it so you need to show them what isn't working or what didn't work when they did run it and how you can fix it. SEMRush makes that a breeze. Cons It's not 100% but like most of these softwares that are estimating budgets and keywords, they will never be perfect. But they give me the details I need. It's useful for understanding the competitive landscape. Pros I like using SEMRush. It's definitely one of the top products for SEO and it gets the job done. I prefer using other tools because I find SEMRush to be difficult to navigate. It does the same job as other tools, but it's a bit more confusing. Cons The user interface is a bit clunky and hard to understand. It's difficult to discern one feature from the next. There are new tools being added all the time and you can really tell that the developer wants to push the limits of what users are able to do. Tracking rankings and doing competitive analysis is very easy and the data is fairly reliable which is great. Cons The audit is a bit bulky, and some of the software could use refinements, but those are minor gripes.
