Everything we produce and all our content strategies are now largely defined by SEMRush. Pros The level of functionality and scope of analysis provided is mind-blowing (perhaps even mind-numbing - without someone to walk you through it, can be quite confusing and overwhelming). You can research keywords, perform competitor analysis, and perfect content. Cons There's almost too much available. It can be hard to hone in on what you're really after. And if there are factors negatively impacting your SEO, it will tell you exactly how to fix it. That's amazing! Cons Seems like there are a lot of features but sometimes when I click on them, it's an add on feature you have to pay extra for. I wish their packages were a little more inclusive. Pros software contracted Yext for citations management. After running the scan I found 4-5 incorrect listings and the rest was good about 97% after running the SEMrush / Yext program to my horror I noticed massive duplicated all across the internet. Contacted SEMRush now they talk to Yext so far no results and SEMRush rep told me they can for now only add citiations the duplicate removal will come later. Really ??? DO NOT USE IT!!! It allows you to do extensive Keyword research and competitor research. It also gives you the opportunity to analyze your own site and see where you are lacking when it comes to SEO. I didn't use a large subset of the features, mostly just position tracking and a couple of the audit features (backlinks/technical SEO), but they were fine. Cons There was perhaps a small learning curve when getting used to the interface, but that's to be expected with something that has this many features and functions.
