The few times I've had a problem or question, support is very quick to answer/resolve it and then follow up a week later to make sure everything's working as it should. It is a comprehensive tool that has proved efficient in the digital marketing space. Pros The features I liked most about Semrush are:1. It improves the visibility of business and its insights by providing a ton of SEO friendly tools such as keyword research, traffic analysis and more.2. With better SEO keywords, the drive of traffic to the websites increases which lets us gain better visibility.3. It lets me monitor the performance of the keywords found and used in the websites by providing a keyword tracking tool. The best feature of it is the feature of providing content ideas. Cons The features I disliked about it are:1. The pricing of the plan is on the higher side, which makes it unaffordable for small enterprises and individuals.2. The learning curve of the platform is not steep, it is not easy for beginners to adapt to the platform in the first go.3. The only companies I would not recommend SEMrush to are our competitors. I have sat through a majority of the on-line tutorials which are very valuable. The software is easy to use and what one might find difficult, there is always a in-depth tutorial to guide you through it. Integration is simple. Pros SEMRush is simple to integrate with our other software programs. I use the SEMRush before posting any blogs or articles. It is also very beneficial when assessing what works and does not work for our competitors. If there is something I don't understand with the software functions, there is always a tutorial that explains it in easy to understand terms and examples. It's a wealth of information. Even if some of the information in the database is a little out of date, the sheer amount of data and ideas you can get from Semrush are worth it. You even get bonus things like social media tools. The interface is good, but not amazing. So they could work on that. But I never had too difficult a time finding what I wanted. Pros I love that it's a pretty comprehensive SEO and PPC research and auditing suite. There is simply a ton you can do in Semrush, even in the free version. The site audit is comprehensive, and you're given a lot of different things to look at. One of my favorite things is the SEO Ideas module where it gives you specific things you can do on each page that will help you improve your organic traffic. While you can figure some of this out through the normal audit, having these extra ideas helps with getting the creative juices flowing. There is also a very large amount of competitive research, content idea generator and so much more. It's astounding what all is there! I love that some emphasis is put on PPC in addition to SEO as the two often work hand in hand. Cons Unfortunately, despite being a comprehensive tool, you do have to keep in mind that not all the data is completely up to date or accurate. Not that it's unusable, but I did find myself wondering why it was showing my PPC campaign's "current real-time" ad was actually an ad I haven't used for 6 months. In addition, I found that many of the links in the backlink audit were not accurate. This doesn't mean the tool isn't worth the money. It made my keyword research work so much easier and saved me so much time. Pros I’ve been using semrush for more than a year now, and I can say that this is a brainer tool if you want to rank higher on google. The tools is so easy to use and have so many advanced options to optimize your website and blogs. We’ve used it for multiple clients, and we’ve seen excellent results. Some of our content has been ranked in position 1 on SERP. It also has a keyword monitoring option that lets you monitor your positions, and it helps us see how your blogs and content are performing. We use this data to optimize our content for ranking higher. It offers so many features like backlink monitoring, competitive research, etc. I highly recommend this tool to any marketer. From keyword rankings, movement over time, technical issues, and location-specific information, it has everything me and my team need to successfully monitor and manage SEO for our own business and clients. Cons They try to be everything to everyone, which diminishes the value of the software to me. For example, I am not looking for a social media posting tool from my SEO tool. Because of the amount of features, it puts them at a higher price point and I am already paying for some of these features from software that is built specifically for those purposes. Focus on one thing and do that one thing really well. I also find the pricing model for additional users to be extremely high compared to others. Moz allows you to have 10 users for a similar price, but you have to pay close to double for additional users for SEMrush. It doesn't make sense for a team. I would like to see them spend less effort adding new tools not related to search and focus that effort on their UI, which feels clunky and outdated. Our team enjoys using it. Plus it has helped with our sales since we can utilize its research features when auditing prospective clients' sites. Pros We made the switch to SEMrush a few years ago mainly for the many tracking features that we need for all of our clients. The main one is the keyword tracking tool which allows us to track several keywords for each client and we then can include this data in their monthly reports. Cons SEMrush does not have the best structure for their plans/options which ends up costing us more for the software subscription. Due to their plans/pricing structure, we had to create two separate accounts and separate our projects between the two--all to avoid paying the astronomical additional fee for multiple users. Pros SEMrush provides you with all the necessary data needed to create a strong online presence. This tool feeds you withinformation that helps your learn more about your competitors, what exactly they are doing to raise their rank online and gives you possible options on the strategies you need to duplicate what your competitors are doing. With a robust dashboard that houses all the tools that assist you to audit/analyze your website and give you accurate data on things that are done right or wrong compared to your competitors. You can get SEO ideas, do domain analysis, keyword analysis and keyword planner tool is available to you, so there isn't much stress if you know your ways around all the provided tools. This tool has been the saving grace for my firm, and it is indeed a great SEO tool. Cons SEMrush has too many things embedded in their dashboard. Too many tools and can be confusing. It can be completely uneasy for some users to navigate becuase there is a whole bunch of thing locked in the app therefore the user experience I believe would be the only thing they should work on. We deliver as good or better quality data that larger companies, and still keep it personal. Pros SEMrush offers a lot more features compared to similar products/services. Keyword research and site audit is just the tip of the iceberg. The customized reporting is great for distributing to clients or potential clients. The writing assistant tool that connects to Google Docs helps us stay efficient. We also use the social media posting tool, which is a once bonus feature. Also, I started using the marketplace feature, which is an additional cost. SEMrush has the majority of features that marketing folks need. Cons There is not enough units in the Plagiarism checks (10) and Social profiles (50) for posting compared to the number of projects (200) in the subscription. The next important one close to the content marketing tool is backlink analysis. The free tools offered by SEMRush are a nice addition. It also allows us to quickly create professional reports with a few clicks. I can see my website's data with a single click of a button. It also allows me to track my keywords but I think that they are not as accurate or the data is not recently updated. Their backlink checker works fine for me and I can see who's linking to my websites. In my opinion, their main strength is their keyword tool. I can do so much with it! I can discover new and untapped keywords, I can even copy my competitors keywords and use them to my websites. Overall, SEMrush is a great tool for any online businesses. The support is awesome they get back to you quickly and are always ready to assist with any issues. Overall I say this the perfect software for SEO. Pros I like how easy it is to use, it makes my job much easier. I am able to get the info quickly send to trello for the team to work on some items and it's great for giving me ideas for keywords, content and article writing. Cons My only con for this item is the AMP and needing to have the highest plan to access the amp info. I am on the mid tier and I can't access the pages with Amp errors. Since AMP is so important right now I would think that info would start at the mid-tier level.
