If you want to optimise your website and use the right keywords that will put you on top of every Google search, look no further. You can check competitor websites and see how they are doing keyword wise and apply what you learned from your competitors to improve optimise your page. Gives you the overview of the most searched keywords relating to your area of interest, so that you know what keywords to use in order to get on top of the searches. The software has about 20 different capabilities which you can use to optimise your website. The best part is that you can use it for free for 10 keyword searches, in this way you can see what to expect from the software. Cons No cons. Great software, used it for my 3 websites. Unfortunately nothing guarantees you success, it's all about luck and a bit f hard work. Review Source Billy H. It's always great seeing a customer/prospect reaction when receiving a comprehensive report filled with data that they didn't even know existed in the first place. Pros Whether you're running a marketing firm or are looking to grow your existing marketing practice, this piece of software is a game changer. SEMrush has pushed out a unified solution that gives you everything from an automated social media poster to keyword research and competitor analysis, & lastly full site audits to help you continuously improve. We've used this software for just under 6 months but can't imagine running this team without it. Definitely recommend. Cons The lite version of the product still has a great set of features, but there are some upgrades you'll have to make in terms of price point depending on the advanced features you're looking for. If you are pretty new in this space, the SEMrush Academy is a fantastic learning and reference tool. Pros SEMrush's database is enormous, meaning you have a ton of data to compare yours against to make educated decisions and analysis based on your rankings and results. SEMrush also has more out-of-box third-party integrations than any other SEO tool I have used. TapClicks and Listing Management come to mind as being particularly valuable. Cons It definitely has a bent towards PPC. if you focus more on organic SEO, not to say it is particularly weak there, but you may be able to find tools that are better tailored to that purpose. Though, the On Page SEO Checker is a decent automated audit tool that will give some insight to high level cleanup that can be performed to help boost organic rankings a little. We use it to determine success in new markets, measure our organic keyword rankings and understand how our competitor sare ranking on comparable keywords. Very helpful. Cons Sometimes I find the tool unhelpful because there is not an easy way to organize and track on key terms over time without exporting to spreadsheets and manipulating manually. And another best feature about it is backlink analysis which helps us to keep safe from toxic backlinks and encourages making quality backlinks. Pros It makes marketing easier for newbies with its easy-to-use and highly accurate competitor reporting, ranking tracking, and keyword research. It is a great online marketing tool. Pros I am a SEMrush user for the more than five years and it keeps on getting better. It gives me more confidence doing SEO because of the data it provides. SEMrush helped me to achieve higher rankings on the search engine. It has lots of advance features and all of them are really useful. Doing keyword search is a breeze, it has a large database of keywords and most of the results are relevant. The backlink analysis is also a useful feature but it needs a little improvement. Whether you're doing SEO or PPC, SEMrush is a must-have tool to stay on top. Cons Their pricing is not for everyone and the backlink analysis tool needs a little improvement. It can't see my recent backlinks. SEM Rush is great tool for us. Pros I like the site audit features. I can quickly run a site audit that provides information for site optimizations. I also use the backlink features. Very easy to disallow negative or toxic backlinks. Cons The only negative I have had with SEM Rush is my own lack of training with the software. It is able to get volumes on topics that Google does not make publicly available, and it is great to be able to get a quick snapshot of search volumes in other markets. Pros It's great for what it does but it seems like you need more than just one tool to get a real picture of the data. I use SEMrush for competitive analyses and getting a good idea of what others are doing. Cons It seems like it's going to be a one-stop-shop but it's not. Some of the data is missing from the whole picture and you need to purchase other separate tools to help fill that in. When I finally decided to activate the free trial, I discovered the potential of this software, which is more useful than I thought. Cons So far so good! The price is a bit too high for me but I have to admit that it's good value for the money (and compared to other SEO tools I would say that it's quite a fair price). However since coming to an agency that already has bought into the tool its hard to not see the tool being apart of tools I use on a daily basis as I am responsible for the overall strategy and growth of our agencies book of business. Pros The ability to see both organic and paid media insights. Competitive research to put our clients in the best position compared to their direct competitors. However, Semrush is too expensive compared to its competitors. Maybe the existing plans are convenient for large companies but for small companies that are not going to require all the features that Semrush offers, the price on the most basic plan is excessive.
