Cons I have used SEMruch for a long time now and I can say that the do not have any bad side and of course not anything I did not like but they do have a considerably high pricing. I mainly use SEMrush to audit my website. Tracking keywords are pretty accurate. It can also detect my backlinks accurately. I can say that they have a large database and powerful crawlers. Pricing is competitive and in my opinion, it is worth it. Cons I hope that they update their Keyword Magic Tool regularly so users can find out exactly what are the pages ranking in the SERPs. Pros We love the ability to quickly view our site's performance through the easily accessible dashboards and reports. The position tracker really helps us keep a pulse on the health of our site. Cons Some of the reports are inaccurate at times. For example, one day the reports indicate we jumped 90 spots for a specific keyword, and the next it will say we dropped 90 spots again. Their competitor insights also make it easy to determine how a website stands up to competitors in the search results. They've also recently launched some new features such as the 'keyword magic tool', be good to see how these develop in the future. Cons Ability to generate some custom reports for campaigns would be nice. It can also take a while to get your head around using this tool as there's just so much information available, so I would recommend you factor in the time it takes to really get familiar with this in order to get the benefit. Before getting started I would check those out. Cons It has somethings that Ahrefs doesn't have, but Ahrefs has somethings that doesn't. Then again as a freelancer, when I was rebuilding a website for a small business client. It was incredibly helpful for researching competitors and identifying keywords I wanted to focus on. The client was thrilled with the end result and absolutely saw an increase in web traffic, calls, and business. Pros The domain analytics are incredibly useful, especially when I was planning a website for a small business freelance client. I like that the tool is a bit of a jack of all trades - that's really what I need in most cases. It has a solid social media component as well. Cons It can be hard to justify the cost if I only use it for my freelance work, which is intermittent. When I'm in a rush with keyword research, I did find myself jumping over to a different tool for the down and dirty quick searches.
