### "Wouldn't Trust my passwords with any other password Manager"

November 27, 2018

5.0

KeePass is now mandatory for password security in our organization. WIth so many departments having their own passwords for resources, KeePass is a great application for storing and retrieval of all passwords!

Pros

THis free, open-sourced software is excellent for password storage in the digital age! I really liked that you can create a master password for all your passwords. Password are safe, encrypted and protects your password from keylogging software.

Cons

THe user interface is a little lacking and could be difficult to navigate. I wish it was able to auto capture passwords as I create them.

### "Best way to store and create passwords"

May 5, 2022

5.0

I've been using it for 10+ years with no issues. Its my go to software to store confidential information as well as test a password against its bit of encryption

Pros

I love the fact its a password protected database with the ability to generate and detect highly encrypted passwords for users, websites etc.

Cons

The look of the software is a little dated, but honestly does not affect performance.

### "Keepass allows you to securely store (and own!) your passwords"

August 31, 2019

4.0

Pros

\* A simple tool that excels at their purpose: securely stores and organizes all your passwords in one place. It also offers an extra feature: generate random passwords. \* Data is stored in an encrypted file that can be opened by one of the many available frontends (provided you know the master password). As a result, it will not be stored (unless you decide to do so) in 3rd party clouds, nor your data will be locked in a 3rd party service.

Cons

Clumsy interface that looks very much from 1990s

### "Best open source password manager"

July 22, 2019

4.0

Pros

I saw KeePass being used by many teams. It's easy to use, cross-platform (you can use on multiple enviroments). Also, you can put your keys database on the cloud and update whenever you feel necessary. So, you can share the file with your team. You can also secure you keys with a master key. KeePass has integrations with major browsers and you can use them together and never write a password again (and update passwords on the fly).

Cons

I don't think KeePass it's vantageous for big teams. You'll reach a point when you'll need a stronger and distributed option. Also, besides it has OSS options, the encryption mechanisms are not fully known, and it turns the software less trustable.

### "Easy to use"

November 20, 2020

5.0

If you are looking for a locally based password manager, KeePass is your best choice. It is a free open source solution for managing passwords.

Pros

KeePass makes it very easy to store and organize a password database. I like that KeePass is locally based, so I am able to stay in control of my password database. It is very easy to create, organize, and store passwords for hundreds of accounts.

Cons

I have not experienced any issues with KeePass. It operates smoothly and without issue on my Windows desktop and Android cell phone.

Reason for choosing KeePass

KeePass is free and open source.

### "Local Password Database with no cloud worries"

April 2, 2019

5.0

Pros

Brilliant password manager without the worry of using a cloud service and the risks that are opened up from that. We used to use this as our main password database before it was decided to move over to a cloud based password manager. If I'm honest, the security that comes with knowing only you have access to your password database as it is stored locally is a good piece of mind to have.

Cons

As it is not cloud based, you need access to the database file to be able to see the passwords. If the database file is stored securely, then a 3rd part system will be needed to access the file. Doesn't have browser integration like other password managers so passwords need to be copied and pasted when needed.

For browser integration, there are plugins/extensions available. Furthermore, built-in features like auto-type and drag-and-drop can be used to transfer credentials conveniently.

### "Free and Effective Password Management"

April 12, 2022

5.0

KeePass delivered on everything I needed it to. It would likely not be my first choice if I was trying to manage credentials across an entire team or organization, but it is very effective within its relatively narrow ambit.

Pros

This software is free, easy to setup and understand, and very effective. I use this for personal password management only and so can't speak to enterprise needs, but I cannot imagine why I would use other software at this point.

Cons

I honestly cannot think of a reasonable complaint given my needs, but I suspect KeePass is not "ideal" for enterprise needs (e.g., passwords are stored locally).

### "Secure Password Protection and Safe Storage"

February 4, 2020

5.0

I have used this software for many years, they are constantly updating and building more features such as mobile app's and browser integration

Pros

This application uses high encryption standards to keep your passwords safe! Easily enter passwords and organize based on type for easy searching. Many plugins which integrate directly with web browsers to allow for safe form submissions.

Cons

One feature that I feel is lacking is a data integrity check - a method of verifying the encryption of the file. Consider a md5 hash of the file, and validating this each time.

### "KeePass is the best password locker, bar none."

March 10, 2018

5.0

Pros

KeePass is not cloud-based. Cloud-based software is too susceptible to hacking, which is the last thing I want in a password locker.

Cons

KeePass has a bit of a steep learning curve. There are multiple downloads to get set up properly, and the instructions to get up and running are not intuitive.

### "KeePass Review"

May 31, 2022

5.0

My experience with KeePass is positive, its a tool that for developers is amazing because of all the password that we need to keep safe and complicated. Keepass is my go to for creating and keeping safe the password that I use in my projects

Pros

The password manager is completely free , its open-source is a plus but what i like the most is the strong cipher and its free.

Cons

The interface makes it look old and a bit more complicated to use, a Ui/UX update would be great.

Reason for choosing KeePass

Because i keep all importante password there and its safe to use

### "Makes management of passwords easier"

June 10, 2020

5.0

It saves a lot of effort and time logging in to daily use applications and keeps passwords secure in one place.

Pros

We've been using it for quite some time as a password store for multiple applications and portals we use daily. Security is always a concern and remembering tens and hundreds of passwords doesn't get easy, hence it's a very handy application as it stores all passwords and saves the hassle of resetting forgotten passwords and provides seamless login to applications. Complex and safe passwords are now easily used as the job of remembering them is done by this tool.

Cons

This application can still come up with some features where users are alerted when their passwords are going to expire.

### "KeePass makes my digital life so simple."

August 22, 2021

5.0

Pros

High security. The last thing you want in a password manager is weak encryption. KeePass has strong security features supporting AES and have database encryption and memory protection. No installation required. Open source implies great community and plugin support.

Cons

Outdated UI. Absence of Multi device sync. Can have a better browser and cloud integration.

### "KeePass usefull for automation scrip"

January 14, 2022

4.0

I create automations, especially with Covid-19 has pushed our business to work remotely. By digitalizaing and automation as much as possible helps a lot. THe automation scripts that use a domain account with elevated privileges, in order to keep the PowerShell scripts as secure as possible, I use the KeePass to store the credentials, the script will call KeePass to retrieve the credentials.

Pros

I write a lot of scripts that use a domain account with elevated privileges. In order to keep the PowerShell scripts as secure as possible, I use the KeePass to store the credentials, the script will call KeePass to retrieve the credentials.

Cons

You need to spent a little time at first to grasp the process in order to use the application to its full potential

### "Perfect program to keep track of passwords"

March 23, 2020

4.0

Really simple and got the job done so good overall experience.

Pros

For many years used Excel spreadsheets, so moving to this was the innovative way to go. Setting it up and using was very easy once did it a few times so made it very efficient as well.

Cons

There are other programs out there that are just better built than Keepass even though so many are still using notebooks or spreadsheets for passwords, this is better than that.

Reason for choosing KeePass

At the time, this was the first similar product we found that we wanted to use.
