### "Don't trust online password vault options?"

December 4, 2018

5.0

I use this to store usernames and passwords for hundreds of different online accounts. KeyPass makes it so I don't have to remember all of them myself which allows me to use REALLY long and cryptic password for everything. You can store the password database on a cloud account so that you can share it on any of your devices or computers.

Pros

It's a local password vault. As long as you keep the vault offline, it can't be hacked. Very easy to use. Database can be stored in a cloud location so that you can use the program on any device.

Cons

Not much to complain about but if I must say there is something I like least about it... no way to recover from a lost or forgotten master key. This should be considered a feature and not a flaw.

### "Excellent password safe"

January 1, 2020

5.0

It's been great having a secure password safe I can access whether I'm on my phone or laptop. I can use the secure password generator to create passwords that would be very difficult if not impossible to hack, without me having to remember these crazy random strings.

Pros

My favorite thing about Keepass is the cross-platform flexibility it gives me to retrieve secure password data no matter where I am.

Cons

It was a little clunky when I was first getting used to using the software. I wish there was drag and drop functionality for organizing the passwords and folders.

### "Simple perfection."

April 22, 2019

5.0

Pros

Great price, easy to understand and maintain

Cons

The main menu where you select the accounts has some odd behavior. If you double click the password, it puts it into your clipboard, if you double click the user name, it opens the file. I wish it was one or the other.

### "KeePass - look no further!"

September 18, 2019

5.0

Best password-saving, and password-organization tool I've ever used!

Pros

There is NO competing password-saving application for KeePass because KeePass is it! The ease of adding or deleting records, as well as adding notes and sign-in links to webpages make KeePass SO easy to use. Also, the added security of having to sign into the database itself before opening the application gives me a peace of mind.

Cons

My only gripe is the interface. The application does its job damn well, but perhaps it's time for a face-lift.

### "KeePass"

May 24, 2019

5.0

I'm using KeePass everyday for logging into different sites, to my email (via Thunderbird), and every new site I make an account on is being protected with KeePass generated password.

Pros

It is the best password manager I have ever experienced to use. It has a LOT of plugins which can be used with different software to make your life easier using saved passwords, it has a password generator, so you dont have to think them yourselfs, the passwords can be assigned to different categories (editable), and what I liked most that you can sync the database to Google Drive (for example - in my case), and use it with web browser, in my Android phone and any other place you can think of.

Cons

There is some "setting up" the software to make it functional, which can be hard for a non technical user, but after it is done it is very easy to use.

### "Great Password Keeper"

March 7, 2018

5.0

Pros

Very simple tool that manages your passwords. You can choose a Master Password, a key file and a windows account. Separate your passwords in folders and does not require a server, it generates a file. Which is great because you can save it to your Google Drive or Dropbox to keep it in sync with your devices. Has an auto-type feature that is just lovely.

Cons

The interface seems a little old school which may drive some people away. To be honest it is ugly, but it works very well!

### "Pretty Decent Software Lacks Functionality "

December 5, 2019

4.0

KeePass does what they advertise very well. No complaints.

Pros

It's pretty good at what it does. Keeps passwords. It uses an encrypted databases AE256 which is pretty good for a local DB.

Cons

KeePass is not sync-able. What does that mean? Well, there's no way to do shared databases in a file share without interrupting someone else trying to work in it. It becomes very annoying when you save over someone else's work.

### "Best vault software"

May 31, 2020

5.0

Overall experience is good, the software is very well architected and has multiple addons. It's audited and easy to use.

Pros

I use keepass for a long time and it's hands down the best password manager and vault software. Its well maintained and audited, so no worries about beaches or data theft. Also it is bundled with the most modern hashing and encryption algorithms.

Cons

It lacks support on important platforms like unix based distros. The user interface is good but became bloated and kinda outdated.

### "Great for small teams"

April 9, 2020

5.0

KeePass is great for small teams who don't need a cloud-based solution (or who are unable to use cloud-based solutions due to organizational restrictions).

Pros

Easy to use. Entirely local. Doesn't need a cloud provider or any subscriptions.

Cons

Not great for distributed teams, as it needs third-party syncing.

### "Get way to store multiple passwords"

October 9, 2018

5.0

Pros

KeePass is great for storing passwords. At work we have 15-20 different programs we need to have user ID and passwords for and it will store all that information for you. It is helpful and avoids having to write down passwords. Another feature I find helpful is that you can copy and paste your password without anyone seeing it, in case someone is working with you.

Cons

I haven't experienced anything negative with KeePass. I find is very helpful and secure.

### "Excellent free password manager for Windows"

October 2, 2019

5.0

I've used KeePass for more than 10 years. I set the database to backup to OneDrive so it's safe. You could then have it set to sync between different Windows PCs. I sometimes miss the fact that it doesn't sync with iPhone/iPad, but overall I recommend KeePass. I recommend the Favicon plugin which adds icons to each entry (if you add an URL to it).

Pros

Secure, updated regularly and lots of options. The Favicon plugin makes it easier to find an entry at a glance.

Cons

The visual user interface is quite basic looking - but it gets the job done.

### "Excellent Password Software"

November 13, 2019

5.0

Positive, I've used KeePass for years every day. I don't trust passwords in the cloud, this is the best local alternative.

Pros

I use this in combination with another password management software. I work out of KeePass and store passwords for our team in another software. The autocomplete, and auto generation of passwords is a huge time saver.

Cons

I would really like a way to have a master unlock password for the organization so that should a disgruntled employee leave we can unlock it.

### "Password manager for users looking to save money"

August 24, 2018

4.0

The KeePass password manager needs effort initially to setup and configure. It's a best choice for high-tech experts because its free and open-source application.

Pros

Keepass is the one free and open-source software I relied upon from beginning to save passwords. There is support to import data from many competitors apps and the application is extremely configurable. Another feature I liked is password generates which makes complex word generation easy. Also there is decent plugins support available and ability to handle application passwords.

Cons

The major disadvantage with Keepass in my opinion is password data need to be entered manually, unlike competitor applications which do automatic form filling. The initial setup and configuring is night mare for average user, while other application are more simplistic with easy to use UI.

### "Such a great password vault"

July 17, 2021

5.0

Generally speaking, I really enjoy using this software. I feel like it enhances my worklife and keeps my passwords safe. I love having software that feels safe and that is so easily accessible for storing passwords. I would recommend this software to anyone looking for a password vault and now I won't go without.

Pros

I love that this has a lot of options for saving passwords. I feel safe using it, and I really enjoy the fact that I can use specific headings to save passwords so it's not just a huge mishmash of entries without being organized.

Cons

There was one point where I had to migrate the database from one server to another and I found it difficult to figure out how to get the database to connect again so I could access my passwords. I did have a bit of a coronary when that happened.

### "One of my favorite programs"

March 23, 2021

5.0

Pros

KeePass is free to use , that's got to be the biggest pro . Is is very easy to use ,you install and are good to go .The passwords are encrypted for extra protection and you can use your already existing ones or have KeePass create new ( a lot more complicated ) ones for you .

Cons

If terms of how it looks, the interface takes you 15-20 years back in time .Recovering your master password is very complicated, so make sure to remember at least that one !

### "Very useful password manager"

July 30, 2020

4.0

It's not perfect but it's free. I use it for years and I was never annoyed enough to look for something else :) So I like it and recommend it.

Pros

Very useful, easy to use and with backup database! Which saved my life a few times when suddenly I needed da password I haven't used for years.

Cons

There's no auto update feature which is a little annoying and also default keyboard shortcuts are interfering with other tools or Polish diactric marks. Fortunately you can easily switch it off.

### "The best password manager ever!"

October 8, 2018

5.0

We wanted to keep all password organized and protected. Keepass is perfect for this!

Pros

With this great software it’s very easy to organize and protect your passwords. It helps you to generate new passwords and the best feature is the auto-type. Basically you go to the login page of a website and the application will write the access data for you.

Cons

Would be great if they can provide apps for iOS and Android so I can use the same password file also on my smartphone.

### "The best way to store passwords"

May 24, 2022

5.0

My experience with keypass is exceptional I recommended to everybody

Pros

What I like most is that when I'm using the product I'm able to easily copy and paste my password and my username from the program to wherever I need it. I have had jobs that just have you use an Excel sheet and that is so much harder

Cons

What I like least is really just that you can't see your password ever so if you forgot your password you can't go and see what it was you can just copy it

### "KeeP your password safe"

April 17, 2021

5.0

Fantastic! I Would recommend it to anyone, to store password in a good place.

Pros

In every PCs you need to install KeePass. It is a local database where you put your password safe. Only you can enter into the software with a personal password/pin. You can add folders, create passwords and put link into them (i.e. for a specific website). If you want to export the KeePass database you can do it, for example if you are using multiple PCs.

Cons

I didn't find any cons. I use it for quite a lot now. It is always updating, this ensure more protection against new malwares and viruses.
